Hotel, room and staff, owners great. Room nice and spacious, staff good on arrival and during stay. Owner was informative and friendly. Nice river walk to castle. Three locally produced products that they served have become staples in our household since the visit.Da Mhile Gin (organic seaweed gin from Llandysul, Hafon and perl wen cheese. Great relaxing and peaceful stay.

First impressions...difficult to find, very small sign off the road, perhaps suggesting under statement, let you decide. On arrival looks impressive, wait... I wanted to write this review on my first day, decided not too and see how I felt after the 4 day stay. Couldn't wait to do this on the Friday! Firstly I get marketing although the use... More

15-room country house hotel on the banks of the very picturesque Teifi river, a short drive from Cardigan and the coast. This is a hotel where some pre-planning/research is needed and for those unfamiliar with the hotel/the area, the following may be helpful. 21st century furniture is not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’, so if you really don’t like Philippe Starke... This is the second time I've stayed at Hammet House and once again it didn't disappoint!! Lovely location with beautiful grounds! The rooms are a mix of old and new which blends well! Also the TVs and sound systems in the rooms are a bit different to normal Hotels I've been to! Food was fantastic and staff very friendly and... More

Invited by friends to dinner. Outside it was a typical Georgian house. Inside I was struck by the decor. The floors were burnt pine, walls grey. In the bar there was furniture in orange '50s style along with transparent plastic chairs. Interesting. Drinks came with nibbles not at all bog standard. My first clue of yer actual cordon blue to... Just returned from 2 nights in Hammet House, Staff very friendly and helpful. Grand old country house which the owners have furnished in their own particular style. We thought the furnishings were too "funky" for our taste but "one man's meat etc". We were on a deal and were allocated Room 3 which was at the very top of the... More

I write this review with regret as the trip we had planned was a joint celebration of our 30th wedding anniversaries and so was to be a happy occation. The four of us had decided to have a night away for the occation and Hammet House ended up being our chosen location. When we were shown to our rooms we... More

We were given a gift of an overnight stay and were impressed by the staff, our room and the food. On arrival we were greeted by Sian who was very polite and showed us around and to our room which had been upgraded. The cream tea was delicious as was the evening meal and Sian was still smiling as she... More

Extremely helpful and courteous staff - they have soya milk in stock but arranged for me to have a wheat and dairy free cream tea when I explained I was wheat and dairy free. Love the decor, very modern and classy. There was some damp in our room wall and ceiling which some people will complain about but considering they... More

Fabulous classic standard room, spacious and light with a great anachronistic juxtaposition of furniture, soft furnishings and paintings which was repeated throughout the hotel. I think you would either love or hate decor - I thought it was great fun. The staff were well trained and unobtrusive - excellent. The food was also good although I thought the fine dining... More
