We just happened by here and were struck by the friendly welcome and quirky mix of furniture, fittings and lighting: as it was mid morning we just took (very good), coffee served with lovely chocolate broken biscuit cake. A friendly welcome, by the owner who invited us to look around the hotel, made us think that this would be a...

Have stayed here before, and have no doubt will stay here again. As always, everything was pretty much perfect, but I must comment on the staff. The two young ladies who looked after us during our stay were polite, courteous, efficient, and above all, made us feel special and wanted. Keep it up. The one downer: Why erode Welsh culture,...

Stayed here in November after a one night deal on a travel site. Lovely old Manor House can't fault it in any way. Good sized bedroom, clean and comfortable. Also beautiful grounds. I would imagine this would be a very pleasant stay for a weekend in the summer. Excellent breakfast and good quality bar meal at night. There is an...

Spent a Saturday night here in mid January, really beautiful location, nice walks nearby. Great nights sleep was had, very quiet and peaceful, though to be expected in January I suppose. The bed was really very comfy. Room itself was nice, if a little plain. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We dined in the Restaurant with the Chefs Tasting...

I had my post-wedding ceremony meal at Hammet House in August 2015. My party did not stay overnight at the hotel, but the reception area, dining rooms and the private room that we had for the meal were all lovely - modern, but also with a friendly feel. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful - my...

Ok, maybe 3 is a bit harsh as this place was very inexpensive. My problem was sound...sleep quality was so poor because it was entirely dependent upon whether other people got up first or talked in the corridor or adjacent rooms. The floor boards seem to transmit the sound straight into the room. Otherwise cleanliness was a bit of an...

Booked a weekend here. Fab drive and a pleasant sight on arrival. The staff were very helpful and really chatty which is always nice. A cosy room but was let down by the bath(needs some love). Breakfast is a must as it was very well presented and the preserved fruit is delicious (vanilla pineapples). The grounds are superb and you...

Visited HH on Wednesday night with family, whilst the food was absolutely fantastic, it was the service that let us down in terms of overall experience, one chap, on his own, who clearly could not cope. Have now had a few experiences where we have gone for a quick meal and the service has let us down, being locals its...

I took my wife to Hammett House for two nights over a weekend to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary- we had DBB , and the whole experience was very enjoyable . We stayed in one of the cosy double bedrooms , which in fact was very spacious and nicely decorated and overlooked the side lawn . The cooked Hammet House...
