Good for family getaway. Services and amenities are good and expected for the price and it’s not so packed compared to other resorts. What can be improved: better choice for pillows, the pillows here are way too soft and they don’t have other options. Breakfast spread is so so. The chalets are quite far from lobby so having scooters or foldable bicycles for children is something u might want to bring along
Booked for the Amani Pool Room, the room is nice that we had a private pool. The toilet was large but the shower was not that great. The water was lil bit slow and warm water came very late (well, for RM1k+ room you would expect better shower than a 3 star hotel, but it was otherwise). We booked for a King bed room but realised it was double bed that was combined together, hence it was not that comfortable. That was a disappointment I would say. Food was average, but the price was high, it is not worth your money. It seems that they are understaff too. Anyway, we managed to ride bicycle around the area, it was nice and enjoyable.
The room cleanliness is just poor! there’s trash everywhere, stain on bedsheet, and a little damn suprise was left for us in the desk which we only found out right before we check out..was checking if we left anything and ta-da!!! a basket fruit that was left there for maybe 2-3 weeks or months, who knows! Our shower was broken. Oh yeah we met a mouse in the room too!!! Dinner was so so, not that much choice, breakfast was adequate. I thought egg station was a common or basic things for a hotel (even a 2 star hotel have an egg station), they have none! But i have to say, they improve a little on availability of buggy service compared to the last time i’ve been there last year. But Your employee was also complaining that they are at their limit. For the second time. Please throw away those award. Only applicable in 2018. 2019 onwards you guys are just sad!…
Once interstate travels were allowed, my husband and I were looking at places to go for our 1st year wedding anniversary. This place caught my eye because it was something different. A resort surrounded by palm oil trees. The place is easy to find, it's just after the Gambang tol. Thank God during our 3 days, 2 nights stay it was pretty sunny. We weren't welcomed with any welcome drinks. For the price we paid, I thought service would be top notch. We were brought to our room in a buggy as all the villas are a distance away. You can opt to walk but it's a little difficult carrying luggage uphill. We stayed at Vana Villa. The room was clean but old which was kind of disappointing. I don't think this place is that old but it wasn't maintained well. Some of the light switches weren't working. Our bathtub is outside which was fine by me. I understand since we're in a palm oil estate there's bound to be leaves and so on in the bathtub but it just wasn't clean. As in there were obvious dirt spots in it even after I tried washing it off. The bathroom is big and I liked the vanity mirror. Good to take pictures. On our first night, we chose to take room service as we were tired from our long travel. The menu was extremely disappointing. Very very limited. I understand MCO and all that but it was ridiculous. The bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows were too soft and there were feathers coming out from the pillows 😳. The mini bar wasn't restocked on our 2nd day. As for the resort activities, it was very limited. We took a bicycle each on the day of arrival and went cycling around the villa. There was no kayaking/archery activities available. The bar was also closed. Some parts of the resort looked abandoned. Breakfast was ok. All in all, I don't think the place is worth the price I paid. I've stayed in better resorts with excellent service for similar price. This place just looks a tadbit bad maintenance. Either they improve their services or reduce the room prices. COVID 19 and MCO can't be the excuse forever for poor quality. …
It was a blessed three days at Mangala Resort and Spa. Unfortunately with the current MCO, setbacks are unavoidable. Manpower, service and a few other short changes were witnessed throughout our stay. However what compensates the small flaws are the beautiful setting of vast wide eco system (which i find it breathless), the associates that kept things as perfect as possible; from the time we checked in until the day we left and the knowledge of nature that we have acquired throughout our stay at the beautiful resort. Shout out to some of the best people on board Mangala’s team of associates; Amir, Luqman, little Fatin and Hazri from FO, Chong, Bad and Matsa from F&B, The Kitchen team, Housekeeping team, Recreation and many more. Most prominent the General Manager who is seen meeting and greeting guest. Hence, it has been a memorable experience and sure, the chances that ill be returning to this property is high. A getaway far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thank you guys keep up the good work.…
We 3 families stayed 2 nights 3 days at this resort. (were there for new year's eve) The property is beautiful, peaceful & a perfect place for relaxation and light activities around the resort. We stayed in Amani Pool Villa which was perfect with kids. Unfortunately the spa was closed but we did enjoy cycling around the property (there are cycles available for all age groups including bicycles with training wheels) There is a beautiful lake where we did paddle boating & kayaking. (Boats are available at a small charge) The resort also has Table tennis tables and a few board games. Our stay could have been better. What we didn't like is some silly policies that we were not made aware of during booking even after asking specifically. The restaurant has limited menu and the food is just about average. There are hardly any vegetarian options on the menu. We had asked them before booking and we were assured they would cater to our vegetarian food request. However, it took us a lot of discussing & arguing finally to get it on new years eve. (Because their buffet had almost no vegetarian options) Their chef special heirloom tomato soup tasted totally different each day we ordered. Breakfast buffet egg counter didn't exist first day but apparently one could order eggs. There were waffles available but we were not informed in anyway. 3rd day there was egg & waffle counter but the person making it was so slow. They really need to work on the food section. And they need to change the most ridiculous rule ala carte food can only be eaten in your respective room not in the restaurant. If they work on their food definitely going back to this resort!…
We checked in for 3 night and on this trip, we booked ourselves into the Amani Family Pool Villa. Every minute has been awesome us especially the kids being able to spend time in the saltwater pool and nature. Personally, this is my second visit but first with my family. This property has matured a lot since the opening and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the SLH "Small Luxury Hotel" badge they earned. A truly well-deserved award and recognition. Dinner tonight at the buffet was delicious too. I love how a property doesn't overdo things by preparing a huge spread and instead of keeping it simple and maintaining it's quality. Tomorrow we look forward to a full day here while we enjoy the activities offered like kayaking, cycling and lots of walks surrounded by a huge variety of greeneries and vegetation. You got to make a trip here with your family for a fun getaway from the city.…
We stayed in vana forest villa. The room interior is nice but they gave us a tore towels ?? So disappointed. The customer service was so bad We called to ask for mineral water but no staff came to send to us. They pickup the call & told us someone will come but no one came. Outside of Our room is so dark, all the lights were not functioning. We complaint this but again no one came to fix it. The facilities were not free also. We played bicycle & kayak. But we do enjoy the infinity pool. The breakfast is quite nice Will i come back ? No
The hotel's location is very hidden and surrounded by the nature. This area wide and there is a large artificial lake. Our room is Amani villa and there is a small pool inside. A bathroom that has a open concept, that something different. Whoever wants privacy and relaxing, this place is perfect
For the price, worth every penny! GOOD STUFF: 1. Private pool where families can enjoy 24H water activities with privacy especially if you have daughters/female companion. At night the pool is automatically lighted once you get into it. Water not heated though. 2. Large resort area surrounded by nature. Best place for a weekend getaway or a digital detox. Around you can get close and personal with palm tree plantations. Beware of mosquitos. There's a jogging route/bicycle lane that takes you through the plantation. 3. Gym Not much crowded during weekdays and the management didnt include this on Booking.com nor Agoda. You have to search for it. State-of-the-art treadmill and bicycle to be tried. Inside the gym supplied towels and water dispenser. 4. For Amani Villa, huge washroom but small toilet. Bathtub overlooking some greeneries without any curtain to cover floor to ceiling glass. 5. 2 card keys for a room (one for each adult I guess) THE NOT-SO-GOOD-STUFF 1. Only if you book with their own website breakfast is included in the price. Both Booking and Agoda don't have the options to pick a room with breakfast. On-site purchase costs RM68/person. But if you include that into the room price, you will get the price of the official website. 2. If the occupancy is low, breakfast won't be buffet but a la cartè. We went during weekday with several other families around at that time. And the menu is the same as the onr for Room Service, plus breakfast menu of Nasi Lemak/Mee goreng/bread. Too expensive for RM68 if you ask me. 3. Express coffee machine is only provide d with 2 cups (Dolche Gusto style). And I cannot see how we can get more of them. Not given during the breakfast not included inside Room Service menu. And each cup can only be used once. *If you plan to bring the whole extended family, take the Bungalow and take up their offer of 8D7N stay for just RM3999.…
