I would rate it lower if I could! We booked this hotel 18 months in advance through R.C.I. for the week beginning April 30, 2016. When I tried to phone them in late March because our travel plans had been altered slightly I was unable to find a phone number. We needed to inform them that we would still be...

First off, I enjoyed my stay at Schloss Grubhof. I read the negative reviews and chose to ignore them and make my own mind up. Some of my comments will be negative as there are several areas that I believe need to be addressed but overall, I have a good impression of SG. I would happily stay there again. The...

As a family of five, we stayed here over New Year as a Timeshare exchange. Wonderful, comfortable and warm property. Yes it does lack amenities but then it does not advertise itself as being luxury. It would benefit from an oven/microwave and a kettle. Again yes you have to pay for WiFi and it only works until 7pm but you...

A most incredible and unique property. Wow, from the first view of the secluded castle to the antiques and crystal chandeliers in the room and ability to roam a castle at will. Were originally worried because we'd arrived by bus from Salzburg and didn't have a car but it wasn't necessary. We're not seasoned hikers but thoroughly enjoyed walking many...

There's no facilities on site, only a pool table. Internet is only on the main entrence, on payment, and stop works on 7 pm. Flats have little Kitchen with only two fires, toster and Cofee machine, stop. Receptions hour is a big problem , they made a few hours during working days and on Saturday, arrive after 18 is not...

This is a unique property in a beautiful corner of Austria and overall we really enjoyed our time here. However, it was disappointing that wi-fi was extremely limited and there are no laundry facilities. The other issue is that the units vary widely in space and decor. Some of the units are huge with painted murals on the ceiling and...

Beautiful Hotel in beautiful location but we would never return. The lady that runs the place is beyond unacceptable. Nobody felt welcome, she is rude and hostile. She runs it like a Youth Hostel - wifi off at 19.00. Pitty she made it a terrible experience!

I read all the reviews before deciding to stay at this resort. I disagree with the comments that the receptionist is rude. She is just doing her job efficiently. She was very kind about helping us on several occasions and was always willing to answer or questions. The problem with the resort is that it does not have any amenities...

My stay at Schloss Grubhof was in mid Oct. 2013. The Schloss is a real castle amidst the Alps mountains. Though it's located in a very quiet area, it is not far from towns like Lofer & St. Martin. One of its advantages is the bus stop which is just at the entrance of the castle. Amazing sceneries around. The...

We recently stayed here with our 3 year old as the second stop on a whirlwind vacation throughout Europe. The location was AMAZING!!! At first we were a little put off but the distance to Salzburg and location - but we quickly found Lofer to be one of our favorite stops on our trip. We had a car (a must...
