This is a brilliant beach resort and although it opened in 2001 and is rather tired in places (mostly bathrooms and some outside details) everything hangs together surprisingly well, although evidence of ongoing maintenance wouldn't go amiss. Great pool, comfortable rooms in large cabins with palapa style roofs, verandas back and front and sea views. Access to wide sandy beach. We were there in a large group for an end of tour finale and they provided dining that was perhaps not top end but certainly very adequate. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay. If we were there we would certainly consider staying again.

Good points are location is excellent - very easy walk to plenty of bars and restaurants, beds are comfy, gardens really well kept, pool is nice, very good beach, breakfast quite good but caters more for Chinese. The shower and water pressure was poor. I think a whole new plumbing system is required. Old and dark, needs refurb particularly bathrooms. I have decided that with SouthEast Asia it seems to be the exterior facilities you pay for and not the interior.
Great location but how can you ruin this with a horrible restaurant ? Springrolls varying from 1.5cm to 4cm diameter was a start we could still laugh about. But than, after 1.5 hrs waiting still no food on the table while the restaurant was nearly empty. . . . . Quickly left, sorry never again.
After traveling across Myanmar, this hotel was the right choice for the final four day relax. Exceĺlent food, friendly staff, nice service. Every day sunset can be observed and enjoyed from the pool...
