Detailed Reviews
Peaceful and quiet stay with a pool and gardens. Managed by a lovely couple who attended to all we could want in a B&B. Beautiful part of the State with countryside for cycling and running on a cool morning before the summer heat hit. Pedal to Borowa and down the Galston Gorge and back was very challenging; not for inexperienced cyclists or those who don't like long twisting climbs with no shoulder for bikes. However, motorists were patient and the group from Turramura Cycling club allowed me to jump on for a while. It was good to learn that AC was available as it would have been too hot to stay there without it. Did I mentioned the unchlorinated pool that was a great way to start and end the day. as we had it to ourselves even during a holiday week. The AC is controlled by the owners and isn't necessary at night. Just a short drive to Turramura where relatives live. Nice crescents and cheese along with what seemed like homemade spreads and bread for snacks. I hesitated to offer a review because I don't want this place to become unavailable due to the increase in interest. Even in the drought conditions the gardens were amazing. We will be going back after the rains. The bigger accommodation up the hill seemed like a great place for a familiy get together but the smaller two-room suite was perfect for our 4-day stay. The in-suite fridge was small but we were allowed to store some holiday fare in the other suite's bigger fridge but I imagine that is not always an option. The hosts seemed proudly Christian folk who will share their stories but us atheists were not bugged; we are doing ok even if not 'saved'.
