We stayed at the hotel for a family get together end of April - beginning of May and I just cannot praise the hotel enough. The rooms are immaculate - nothing is left to be desired. Everything is where it is meant to be - someone has actually thought about where things should be in a room and they are all individually designed and spacious with all mod cons you may look for. All overlook the beautiful Faaker See with a private lawned area just by its' shore with your own sun loungers. The furnishings are first quality and the beds are so comfortable you really do not want to get up in the morning . I have not slept this well and this much in a long time. The large balconies which every room has have day beds and also sort of 'net-curtains' should you wish to be shielded from direct sunlight when sitting outside. The food was out of this world: dinner was a four course menu with a lot of local produce and prepared with so much love and attention it was just a joy to eat. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. Fresh eggs in the morning, a variety of delicious breads, homemade muesli as well as fruit, cheeses and cold cuts from the region along with juices and home made spreads and jams. An absolute delight. The owners could not have made us feel more comfortable. We were a party of 15 and I would not call us the quietest guests in the world. They were so friendly it was just a joy to be there: everyone felt so well looked after and happy. We will try to go back for more as I do not think you would ever get enough of the hospitality and friendliness along with a very stylish hotel and stunning views as well as superb food. Thank you very much for having us it was an utmost pleasure - I wish I could have stayed longer.

Having stayed at 100+ hotels on all continents, this is probably my favourite. It is a small, family-run hotel in a special (and quiet) location, with fantastic views of the lake and mountains. Loved the food(!), the sauna, the bike ride around the area, even the stereo system in the room. Can't wait to go back.

Having stayed in 1000's of hotels across the world this is one of the best ... If not the best. We lived in Vienna for many years and stumbled on the hotel by accident. We have been back may be 15+ times over a dozen years.....and many of the guests are regular and repeat visitors. The view of the lake and the mountains from the rooms or terrace are just amazing. A grassy bank of a garden descends down to the lake with swimming off the piers, pedalo, canoe, table tennis, sea sauna, badminton and more all provided. And then there is the food. A set dinner every evening that would put many of the best restaurants to shame. Without doubt the best food we have ever eaten in Austria ... and always a different menu to tantalise our taste buds. The hotel is family run...and it shows. We have had many great family holidays there, with Michael and Andrea and family being the perfect hosts. The rooms are modern and well appointed. One of the best hotels in the world

A very quiet place, a beautiful piece of nature, huge garden, beutiful and relaxing view to the lake. The owners are extremelly friendly. It is maybe a too quiet place, not for young persons. Ossiacher See is very close and is a very beautiful place. But definitely not for those looking for animated places
