Very nice place with cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and great hospitality. Rooms are clean, there are good breakfast served in the hotel as well as own gelateria with home made cakes. I can only recommend this place to stay and enjoy skiing in Marmolada, which is easily accessible from the hotel by ski bus (bus stop is only few meters from the hotel).

I stayed in this hotel at the end of the year as a single parent with my two small sons. On the last day of the year, no supper (as part of the half board treatment which we had booked) was served but a big Gala Dinner (lasting from 20-24h) was organised for the additonal price of about 50€ per person. As I had to stay with my children, I could not participate in that dinner but was nevertheless charged the half board price - without however receiving any supper on that day (and I had to go out to have supper in another restaurant). When I argued that this treatment amounted to a discrimination of families/single parents with small Children incapable of attending the big dinner, they simply referred to their "conditions", without sensitivity for the needs of smaller children. In addition, the evening service was quite slow so that dinner - which started only at 19 30h - was hardly finshed before 21h - which is also bad for smaller children who would need to go to bed before, especially when skiing on the next day. So this hotel cannot be recommended to families with small children. Otherwise, the hotel was OK (but the advertised Whirlpool does not exist any longer).

Response from Francesco D, Responsabile relazioni con la clientela at La Montanara Alpenhotel
Responded Feb 20, 2019
