Stayed here for a couple of nights while skiing on Gerlitzen. The hotel has a beautiful view of the nearby lake Ossiach and most of the rooms are oriented towards it. The rooms are of a good size, standard Austrian alps style, quite clean. Only remark is on the bathroom which should be rennovated in my opinion.
Reception was fine, efficient, helpful and nice, there is also enough parking for everyone. Ski room is a bit too small when the hotel is full.
The restaurant is below the hotel, with classic Austrian dishes which were very good (we tried the grostl) and some solid Villacher beer on tap.
All together a very good hotel that is not too expensive closebto the lake and kanzelbahn that goes to the ski resort.

We stayed 8 nights in the second house, room 14. Staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was too small, size of the cupboard was not enough, glass wall of the bathroom was very uncomfortable and noisy. We asked for a small refrigerator due to the hot weather and for keeping our medication. It was rejected by the manager by saying there were not any in the hotel. Our room was very noisy due to the heavy road traffic, trucks, buses, cars and due to the nearby train traffic. We could not sleep properly. Our terrace was not well seperated from the neighbors therefore we could see and hear one another. Some of these problems could have been solved by better management policy. Breakfast was nice. We used growingly Billa to buy food. We had problems with the wifi.

Beautiful location with endless options for fun and outdoor activities. Cozy room, friendly staff and amazing view to the lake and the castle and the Alps.
The street is called Panoramaweg for reason.

A hidden gem by Lake Ossiach. Renovated rooms with friendly design. We had delicious breakfast and dinner every day. Staff was always kind and ready to help us. And the view to the lake and Julia Alps, more then stunning. Gerlitzen cablecar just 7 minutes by walk.

Great location and good breakfast. Room was very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. But bunkbed for children wasnt safe enough - children didnt want to sleep on upper bed /it should have higher barrier against fall/. Not very good noise isolation between rooms.

The website of the hotel is promising and so I booked it. To stay there was rather disappointing. I have to admit the view you have from your room is really nice - you have a great look over lake Ossiach and a sunny terrace on which you can have breakfast (which is also good!).

But there are so many little things that went wrong: The furniture of the room we got was old and didn't look like to photos of the website at all, Under the bed you could find a lot of dust bunnies and the shelves were so dusty, too. Under one shelf we even saw spider webs - incredible! The tiles in the bathroom were from the 70's and the ceiling made with wood (which was musty!!). The bathroom itself had a strange smell that probably came from the mold. You don't feel compy there. I paid 100 € per night and the staff claimed that the rooms won't be cleaned every day. So I only received new towels after I asked for them and the bathroom and the bed weren't cleaned in those three days I stayed there. For that price I would at least expect a clean room (because obviously I got the oldest room of the hotel). If you would ask me how much I would pay for that service, you would have to half the price!

The staff doesn't greet you and is not beahving warmly towards its guests. Only one man (grey hair) asks you, if you enjoy yourself or I you need anything. He's the only friendly person there. All others give the impression that they don't really care about you and I had the feeling that they mostly don't understand you either (don't think they speak German fluently).

The walls are very thin, so you hear EVERYTHING your neighbours do. All in all I have to say I would definitely not come back and I can't recommend this hotel.

This hotel is probably one of the best hotels around lake Ossiach with friendly staff. The hotel is situated from a 15-minutes walk from the harbor and the Kanzelbahn. Rooms are spacious and very clean with view to the lake or with access to the garden.
he meal is very delicious with the opportunity to choice between 2 options for dinner. Breakfast contains first-class swedish table (bakery, vegetables, coffee, cacao, friut juices, etc. basically anything you wish for a breakfast, even pancakes).
We spent a fabolous 4 days here and would be happy to return.
