10th May 2015. My wife and I were directed to this hotel after speaking with a local bar owner. We were so glad we did. The hotel's restaurant specialised in couscous. And what meals! I ordered couscous poulet , my wife couscous agneau. We shared. What a treat! Perfectly cooked, all accompaniments including l'harrisa sauce, the Algerian rose wine went down a treat. More

We arrived in Guise in search of the bithplace of Mary Queen of Scots mother and were surprised to find hardly anyone knew about the connection. Also surprised to learn that there is only one hotel in town so not spoilt for choice. This hotel proved however to more than adequate.
It is owner operated with plenty of provincial french charm. Everything was a bit dated but with plenty of character. It is clean, comfortable, located close to the town centre and good value. It has a small restaurant on the ground floor.
