Palia Don Pedro, is located in the southeast of the island of Tenerife, the biggest of the Canary Islands, at 24km from the airport and 2km from the beach Playa de Las Americas (tourist life area). It is located in one of the sunniest zones of the island and surrounded by a magnificent tropical garden, in Las Galletas "Costa Del Silencio", where you can find tropical vegetation and desert landscapes. Approximately 1,5km from the hotel there is a pebble beach, as well as the small fishing port of Las Galletas (1km).

Returned to the Don Pedro with my friend for a 2 week break away. The minute we arrived all the staff were friendly. Some remembered me from my previous visit in December. But those who didn’t remember me took the time to get to know me and my friend (who’s first time visiting the hotel). The entertainment staff Diego and Laureen were amazing and as always made the holiday even more amazing than we could have asked for. The fresh food cooked at evening times was always amazing and there was always choice. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided when asked for. Reception staff were helpful when we needed to find things in the town. Only just got home, but already looking to book again in October!

Staying at the Don Pedro, while on a diving holiday with Atlantic Divers. Really good value for money, spotlessly clean, friendly and very helpful. As a coeliac I am able to find something at every meal and a good standard of food. The all-inclusive package is good value. Nice gardens and though dated the hotel has decent facilities and a decent pool. Thanks for a good break.

My wife and I stayed here in a studio room for a 3-night break in April. We were checked-in by Carmen who was friendly and efficient and we were given a key (not keycard) to room 447. The room was sufficiently furnished and looked like it had been recently decorated. There were comfortable twin beds but the sheets were a bit skimpy and had a tendancy to come untucked during the night. We had stayed in this hotel before, so we knew in advance that there was no aircon and only a ceiling fan, but this worked well enough. The TV (remote control available from reception for a refundable 20 euros) was the old box-style and was poorly positioned to see from the beds, however as the only English-speaking channels were Sky news and Disney, it didn´t bother us much. The room safe and WiFi were payable. There was a small cooking area with hob, fridge, basic crockery and a few utensils. A kettle could be obtained from reception free of charge (but there seemed to be only a limited number available). There was only one electric socket in this area. The bathroom had a bath with overhead shower. The water had to be fully positioned to “Hot” to be hot enough for a shower. Hand and bath towels were provided but no hairdryer or bath sundries except 2 small soaps. There was one electric socket and the light over the mirror was good. The balcony had a table and 2 chairs and an extending washing rack. The lock was a substantial “old-fashioned” sliding bolt which was very secure. Housekeeping was scant, to say the least. On one occasion, a dead insect that ended up in the loo was still there after housekeeping had been, so obviously the toilet had not even been flushed, let alone bleached/disinfected. All meals were served buffet style (breakfast 8am–10am, lunch 1pm-3pm. dinner 7.30pm–9.30pm). Choices were always good. We especially liked Monday dinner which was “Mexican Night”. The restaurant was often late opening for lunch and dinner resulting in people hanging about outside waiting to get in. Various snacks were available from the pool bar area throughout the day. The hotel was not busy during our stay, so there was never a problem getting a sun lounger and the two animation people worked hard to provide a flow of activities, encouraging people to join in. Entertainment was rather low-key on the nights we were there (bingo/karaoke/flamenco) and even though the hotel did not seem full, there were not enough inside tables in the bar area. Drinks were of a reasonable quality and good measures. All-Inclusive ended at 10:30pm and the one/two staff were friendly and efficient, so there was rarely a queue. We paid £203 for 3 nights, all-inclusive for 2 people (with Crystal travel) which was great value for money and we will have no hesitation in staying here again. I hope you have found this review helpful.

Great hotel, rooms are perfectly fine with loads of space. We were on the bottom floor looking out to the road. Food was great, different every day. Pool is cold but once you’re in you get used to it, loads of sun beds available. Supermarket 5 mins away, walk towards west haven bay. Overall you get what you pay for. Would definitely come back.

Great hotel in a nice quiet area for a relaxing break. Lovely helpful staff that were working hard non stop. Nice food with plenty of choice and buffet topped up regular. Basic rooms which could probably do with a refurb but who spends the holiday in the room anyway.

We went here as a family over the Easter holidays, we had a one bedroom apartment and a studio. Check in was easy and our room was ready early which we were grateful for. We paid for a safe which was 25 euros but you get 10 back when you return the key. The room was dated but adequate. The main thing missing was air con which was ok at Easter but I bet it gets unbearable in summer. The cleaner came in every day and made the beds but we did have to ask for fresh towels after about 3 days to which they obliged. The food was adequate, lots of fresh salad and always chips and fresh bread if couldn't find anything. The staff were all really friendly but could have done with more on the bar as they also cook the snacks, would probably benefit from having self service beer/wine/soft drinks like they do in the restaurant. Also used loads of tiny paper cups..... would cut down queues if gave a bigger reusable plastic one, perhaps with a deposit like in other resorts. The local area is very quiet with a few reasonable restaurants, would really recommend the Chinese. In short we got exactly what it said on the tin, if you want a cheap and cheerful getaway without the frills then this is for you.

Hotel is located in a fishing village, with a 15/20 min walk to the pier and beach. Lots of local restaurants and food shops and generally a quietish location, although I did travel pre-season so not sure what it's like in season. The all-inclusive get's repetitive, I had to request vegetarian options which they obliged to once I had asked. The rooms are basic (the mattress was terrible) but the pool was perfect, lots of sun beds and the entertainment was 5/5. As an aside I think the complex has a mix of hotel guests and locals living in the apartments, I was a solo traveller and didn't ever feel unsafe but it was a bit of an odd set up

myself and family spent 2 weeks here and can't fault a thing, the staff were brilliant, helpful and very accommodating. The entertainment was excellent and got everyone involved and Diego and Laureen were brilliant with the children. The food was excellent and always a good variety to choose from. i would definitely recommend the hotel.
