When we arrived the doors are locked and there was a note on the door with a list of guests names on and a number to ring, we rang it and they gave us a code to open key box so we could get in, was no reception, the desk was always empty the whole week, we let ourselves into our room and first noticed the light switch cover was missing and switch was loose, the room was basic but liveable but the floors were dirty/dusty, there was just enough cutlery for the 2 of us with one large red cup and 1 tiny white cup, few mismatched plates, I had to clean the floors myself because our feet got filthy within minutes, when we had a shower the bathroom got flooded, the shower was fixed so that it was spraying directly at the shower curtain and it ran down curtain onto floor and it came out the bottom of the shower base too, it came out under the base. The ceiling above shower was peeling and bits would fall into the shower, the pool area is nice but only about 20 sunbeds around it, there's no toilets around the area so have to go back to your room, you are not allowed to eat anything around the pool area, we didn't get told this, we made some sandwiches and were going to stay at pool for day but got shouted at by a caretaker in Spanish he was angry, but like I said we didn't know as no staff ever around no reception. The area is in the middle of other holiday apartments and residential apartments , there is a local shop few minutes down the road and bars and restaurants 10 minutes down the road but they all shut on different days so out of the 4 bars you have at least 1 open each day, we used Google maps and walked in different directions to find other places to eat and found a few a 20 minute walk away, the best thing is there's a bus the 467 that stops outside the apartments and runs every 10-15 minutes and is very cheap to get to Los christianos which is lovely, the beach and area is so much better. The cleaners came in once and changed towels but no cleaning done, we had ants in room and loads on the patio area got so bad we had to buy some ant killer ourselves for €6 luckily it worked, on the day we checked out we weren't being picked up until the afternoon so had to stay by pool for day, they don't have a area for suitcases to be stored safety so couldn't go anywhere else, reception was there that day to collect our keys then they left again, so we had no where to go to the toilet or get changed after using the pool area, this was so stressful so just wanted to go home. Won't ever return to this place,

Having read previous reviews we were a bit apprehensive about what we would find. Arrived late on a Sunday evening and as stated elsewhere premises were locked.
However a notice on the door gave a phone number to call and keys were easily obtained.
Apartment was spotless and although initially we had no kettle or microwave , these were provide first thing in the morning.
Resort is certainly quiet, but several pubs and restaurants are within walking distance. No sandy beach near the resort.
Swimming pool at the apartment was nice although the sunbeds were a little uncomfortable and not adjustable.
Bus stop outside hotel where you can travel to Los Christianos, Las Americas and Costa Adeje for 2 euros.
Apartments were kept very clean and staff very helpful.
If you are looking for a cheap, clean, quiet destination would thoroughly recommend.

Decent hotel for price. Customer service was about the worst I’ve experienced while traveling. No one at front desk during entire stay and the person answering the phone when calling to ask questions or get the code for the key lock box on arrival was quite rude and difficult to deal with. Another guest we talked to said they needed another key as they locked themselves out and they apparently got no help from the hotel. No basic supplies like soap or shampoo provided, guests are expected to go to the store and buy their own.

I was a bit concerned after seeing an extraordinary bad review, as it seemed like we were talking about 2 different hotels. I checked up on reviews about wi-fi as some hotels claim to have wifi but it is poor or non existant, the wifi at Parque Carolina is free and perfect ! It has several supermarkets within walking distance and s few bars and restaurants, also an English charity shop, suprised to see it still here after a visit many years ago. The room I had was perfect for me on my own, and had a balcony overlooking the pool. There was a microwave, coffee maker, toaster and kettle. The beds were firm and comfortable with the best pillows and lovely fleecy throws. The maid only changes the sheets and towels once a week, which for me was fine. You have to take your own trash out and provide loo rolls which is no problem, trash bins just outside and loo rolls 1.35 for 6 There are regular buses to Las Galletas and Los Christianos. I think young people would find this area a bit quiet as there are no clubs, which as a 69 yr old woman suits me fine !! There is a very small sandy beach called La Ballena which is about a 15 minute walk, I went there several times, it was very crowded, but as there was only me I didn't find it a problem. For a family with kids who want to run scream and play ball, which they all seem to want to do, not so good.I would definitly go again

Absolutely filthy room on arrival have done my best to clean it myself, broken fixtures, shower didn't work, tiny shallow bath that you can't fill up as there's not enough hot water. And so so loud!! I usually stay in Las Americas which being a more popular area you expect it to be noisier, but far from it. You can here every little noise here and the walls literally shake when kids run around.... Even my very loud 7 year old son got sick of the noise saying it should be called Costa Del "Loud"ensio instead of Silencio. They also advertise the the apartments being close to the beach which it's not, very close to the sea but it's rocky and rough so only good if you like that sort of thing, closest beach is in Las Gellates around a 20 min jog or 40 minute stroll away, which is got to be one of the ugliest beaches I've ever seen, not much sand and the water is dirty. Only good thing about it is it has a bus stop outside with regular buses to Los Cristianos, which is where we went everyday. Cheap but not cheerful. Oh, and the cleaners took every single towel one day and as there's noone ever on reception it took almost 2 days to get them back. Had to drip dry after my cold shallow bath and dry my hair with a t shirt. Paid £400 for 11 nights which I thought was cheap but not cheap enough by far! Definitely wouldn't stay here again and I'm not usually fussy, I'll look for a cheaper, nicer hostel next time. Also, the sun here rises at around 7am and 8pm at this time of year but around here you only get it from 10am til about 6pm

Shocking customer service , me and my wife and two children arrived late at night after a long flight , there was no one there and the hotel door was locked , we then phone the contact on the door and the guy said he is coming to let us in the our room and no one turned up till 9am , me and my wife and two children had to sit in the reception after one the guest let us in from 1.30am to 9am. no apology at all from the hotel manager and their attitude was if you don’t like it go to another hotel. The room they offered to us was a studio room and we book a one bedroom, really horrible attitude not helpful at all , I would strongly advise not to book this place as their rude and harsh attitude ruined our holiday. I am now in process of making a formal complaint.

This has to be the worst apt i have rented in selicio. On arrival no soap or shower gels in shower room. No micowave. No diswasher brush or sponge or washing up liquid or cleaning liquids. A safe that does not work. No iron or ironing board. No spare towels. Noise from upstairs as moving furnature. Noise from corridor people passing. No balcony viiew. And a balcony that was dirty. Many things you would normally expect to have when renting a holiday apartment and not expensive. No rubbish bags

I booked this as a last minute getaway. I wish I hadn't, if you are just looking for a bolthole which is basic to get your head down, well this is your place. It is old and tired in need of update and maintance. Shower you had to hold one handed to avoid drenching the whole bathroom, the kitchenette area had no microwave, toaster or oven. Just one ring working on the hob slowly! If you did want to eat in the apartment you couldn't.
The 2 single beds were hard with only one pillow each. The tv was broken with lines across every spanish chanel. The wardrobes were on their last legs, and we had a great view of an alleyway in the shade to sit outside. Littered with fag ends.
Staff from arrival to departure reception was invisible we had to call a number to be let in at midday, not siesta or out of hours times, we were greeted by a cleaner who spoke no English, ( not an issue really we are in Spain) however she was helpful, and gave us keys and showed us to our apartment. That was the staff. I have to say on a positive the apartments were clean.
The resort if you call it a resort? Costa Silenco is quiet, restaurants and bars dead really after 9.30pm. It is what I would class more of a residential/urbanisation area. There were clusters of bars and cafes and restaurants. We found a few really nice ones on trip advisor only to find they had all closed down. We did find a couple of really nice restaurants that were reasonably priced which we went back to. Everyone we met were really friendly and helpful.
Walking around the area many nice areas with cacti and bougainvillea however you had to watch where you were walking to avoid treading in dog poo!
Would I revist? NO,

Arrived at 2am (tried telling them beforehand). Called the number and an angry man answered, swearing about it being 2am. Felt quite unsafe/ unsettled. We were eventually let in. Very basic cheap studio. No basics like hand wash, kettle, toaster etc. No air con. Shower was tiny and the curtain was useless, the floor often ended up soaking wet. Towels were only changed once the whole week. Same with toilet paper. Dishes provided but no cleaning supplies. Pool was okay. Beds were ok, very thin blankets but wouldn’t need a thicker one with the hot weather anyways. One of the lights didn’t work. No one at reception for most of the stay.
On a good note- the hotel was right outside a bus stop, close to nearby cafes/pubs and a small shop around the corner.
All in all, not the best stay, but it was only cheap so you get what you pay for. I recommend investing into a more expensive place for a more pleasant stay elsewhere.

Like most families this was our first holiday for over 2 years due to COVID and was really looking forward to it.
Upon arrival the reception was closed and front entrance locked. There was a notice displayed with my name on it instructing me to telephone someone. Over the telephone I was told the combination to a key safe to the right hand side of the main entrance, This is how I got the keys to our apartment. I could have been anyone off the street as at no point was I asked for any ID.
The next morning we decided we would go exploring in the morning. Not being to Tenerife before we were going to ask the receptionist for assistance. There was nobody on reception. This remained the case for the entire 14 night visit.
All the signs within the complex were displayed in Spanish, none in English.
There were no emergency procedure notices displayed within the complex. Normally you would have one displayed within the apartment.
The staff were very rude towards to the English especially an elderly male member of staff who went out of his way to be extremely rude and threatening towards people around the pool. We witnessed him several times making young children cry because of his aggressiveness.
Over our 14 night stay our towels and bed linen were changed just once. Not very hygienic.
There are no amenities such as a bar or entertainment at the complex either.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this place like the plague.
