We stay hiere 2 nights 2 adults with 2 kids from 22/02-24/02/20 and had room with private jazuzzi which had amazing view to the beach and Indian ocean. We was welcomed with nice cold drinks .The bed was nice prepared for us with nice flowers. We was a little worry about this hotel after read reviews hire but all was good.We has small issue but after reported they was quick solved so all ok.You can expect some insects in room cuz rooms are close to the forest and jungle and we was staying in 2 other hotels on Mahe and everywhere get some of insects but they wasnt danger at all just mostly ants. At Chez Villa wasnt nothing so bad at all ,see one ant in our room thats all. They had disinfected with some stuff to help to get away with insects aswell. The beach is good for snorkeling which mostly nice fishes was near the big stones on the left side .The beach was clean with nice white sand the water in indian ocean was warm and clear. The view from jazuzzi was breathtaking. There is nice swimmpool which have beautiful view too and warm water. Our room has got a fridge ,kettle, toaster, free coffee and tea .We didnt use the restaurant at all cuz prices was high and we rented a car so we just had take away which was much cheaper and nice food for us.The Chez villa is far away from Victoria or shops is no big distance but take long drive because roads busy and many traffic there on all island of Mahe .Close to Petite anse and anse a la mouche which are beautiful beaches too and recommend to visit them once you there. So at all over the hotel was at nice location on the beach and was clean but the rooms are not modern look or so but most time you will spend outside anyway so that wasnt big problem for us .They have a few massive turtles there on beach which was nice to see them and feed plus we took some nice pictures with them.

This place is an beautiful place, accommodation is wonderful too!
However, staff were not really that bothered about the customer!
Cons:
1. Breakfast had just finished one day when I asked for toast, their reply was sorry finished! 🤷‍♂️no customer care!
2. Bar / Resturant closes at 9pm sharp!
3. No help with luggage or any trollies
4. Reception no answer in evenings or nighttime!
5. No free water daily in rooms ( you have to buy)
6. Do not eat at Resturant extremely expensive! Eg! Octopus curry is 480 scr
I stayed at Hilton week before octopus curry there is 295 scr and much much better! I was shocked at my bar / food bill.
We ate there only 2 nights and had only 2 breakfasts for one only! Bill was 5000 scr!
We ate every night and drank in Hilton week before for 2 people for 6 days bill was only 5800 scr.
To summarise, I recommend people stay here it’s beautiful, and accomadation is lovely!
However do not use bar or Resturant!
Do not expect any customer care or help!
Treat this hotel as a self catering only!
Do not expect quality service!
Otherwise it’s a wonderful place!
I did tell the owner about the issues, whether it will change I do not know?
But self catering, it’s a perfect place to stay!

Location is fantastic.
Don’t eat in the restaurant and don’t take any cocktails.

Had calamari and a pizza and they came both from the freezer and the calamari were so hard we just couldn’t eat or chew them.
After the girl said that the manager wasn’t their anymore to receive the complaint and we should return another day of our stay, our answer was they couldn’t refund or compromise anything because “the hotel and the restaurant are not linked to each other”
Truly a terrible service. If I have to recommend people interested in nice pictures. All the beaches on Seychelles are free to enter incl the takamaka beach at the “villa chez batista”.
Just go there and take your videos and pictures without paying 1000 euro for 4 nights on one of the most mediocre places I have ever seen.

I’m not one for making or reading reviews because I find a lot of them unjustly criticising properties. This place was lovely. One of the cheapest on the island. Rooms cleaned everyday and even swans made with the towels, listen people that usually is only in 5 star hotels! I never discovered insects in the rooms so a lot of these reviews must have been written by people eating some sort of mind altering shizz. Yes it’s quiet at night but you’ll understand why when you see how isolated it is. If you’re looking for shiney trinkets, a bustling bar, hot girls and a party of a time, then go to Ibiza. Shout out to Ralista at the front desk, great girl. Ciao guys x

A wonderful stay, the sea view from our junior suite was wonderful. The beach is a matter of steps away and is great for snorkelling and swimming. All the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast consisted of freshly made fruit salad, cereal, toast, cheese, your choice of eggs and bacon complimented by fresh fruit juice, the most wonderful vanilla tea and of course coffee! this served as you look out over Takamaka beach.
The Sunday Creole buffet, recommended wholeheartedly, providing a fine selection of traditional Creole dishes for a comparatively reasonable price.

Location wise I preferred the southern end of the island where this accommodation was, great access to either side of the island, helpful as depending when you visit one side of the island will have calmer waters.

We are already looking forward to returning next year, thank you for a brilliant holiday.

Accomodation and location absolutely amazing. This is just how we imagine it even better. Do not expect luxury resort, expect small property which is more than enough big if you know what you want. All rooms are cleaned each day and towels changed. Rooms in house above ocean are TOP, but also small mini suites with jacuzzies near are also extra. Same for appartments in forest. I trully reccomend this facility both for families and couples.
You need to have rent a car to have complete enjoy. Southern part of island is more natural and wild with best beaches nearby. Once again if you like parties and disco, this is not for you. If you want to enjoy and relax but also make small private parties with friends and family this is just perfect.

This is very beautiful and quiet hotel, and the staff are amazing, we were treated like kings and Queens at this hotel. The host was well trained, and she helped us with everything we needed. Their breakfast buffet is the best and every Sunday they provide and creole buffet that has every local food you can think of they have a bartender there that is one of the best we've seen in the world this guy takes pride in his job and he loves it, and he is very detailed and tidy. The beach is amazing and beautiful, and we also wanted to add that 20 years ago we did our wedding reception at Bautista and nothing has changed since then the hotel is still beautiful and the new staff are amazing, we have to many names to mention. We just want to say thank you to all of you and thank you, thank you. We give this hotel a 5star all the way,

I was really very close to write the great review telling people that hotel is underestimated.. till the breakfast. Well, they kind of 're-use' the food. I've been served breakfast with jam jar containing left-overs. 'Orange jam' jar had strawberry jam and it looked like 'content' of this jar has been created by the staff from at least 2 different jars. When I addressed this to the restaurant staff, lady said ' oh, it is maybe just mistake'. Hotel manager could not comment except repeating the same words: 'I will talk to the staff'. Other guest said that he also noticed they 're-use the jars'. I was lucky enough not to taste it. Feeling of disqust :(

We only went to the restaurant for the sunday buffet and it was a bit of a disappointment. Firstly it seemed it was overbooked.
1. A big restaurant with only 1 serving station. There should at least be 2 serving stations for the number of guests.
2. Long way to the buffet
3. Long queue of people waiting to serve themselves (because of 1 station)
4. Guests should be served for hygiene reason. Too many people touching the serving equipment.
5. There could have been a better layout of the buffet with a salad bar on one side and hot dishes on another side. If you have done the salad station you have to still queue again behind those in the salad queue before reaching the hot station.
6. The dishes were of a take away standard. Expected better for a restaurant.
7. Lack of knowledge of the wine list.
8. Dessert was a BIG disappointment - sponge cake. Except for nougat nothing creole

Finally to add to our disappointment our table was given away to other guests whilst we were at the buffet without being asked. We did not feel we were at a restaurant. No restsurant atmosphere.
There are Better options for creole buffet even if you have yo pay abit more!

As I recall, I stayed in the cheapest room on offer, and that it, and even the other most basic rooms had air-con and fridges as standard.

Hi, is there available restaurants nearby that serves vegetarian meals. Thanks
Answer from patilsapana1
Dubai, United Arab Emirates31 contributions24 helpful votes
Hi, I don't think there are any vegetarian restaurants nearby. We had rented a car. So we used to drive down the coastal road (in the direction of the airport). There is a nice restaurant on the coast about 15 minutes from Chez Batista. I forgot the name of the restaurant; but their food is good and so are the prices. :)
