Only spent a few hours at the resort but during my short visit I was amazed at every turn. So much tropical beauty. Wildlife everywhere. I would love to come back and stay for several days in order to see all that I missed

Good place for the nature's lover, nice pool, the only ridiculousness I found was that you have to pay 75 dollar to stay at the hotel for the day. include foot and some drinks. too much money for nothing. beautifull place and also you can enjoy one side of the panama canal.

One of the best views ever from the balcony over the river with ever-changing wildlife and birds visiting us. Hammock on balcony, king sized bed with two singles in loft room, spacious, comfortable, clean, well-maintained, friendly and helpful staff on reception and in restaurant. Can't believe this is the same place others have criticised- wet floors (? You're in a...

If you are looking for an opportunity to experience the jungle but you don't have the time to travel too far from Panama City, the Gamboa Rainforest Resort is a good choice, however, do not spend more than one or two nights here. The resort looks beautiful but the main attraction here is the surroundings. Located just off the Panama...

This hotel is in a beautiful place. The staff where very friendly and attentive. The buffet was excellent with lots of variety. My only complaint is that the resort needs a facelift. The hotel is very worn and in need of a lot of maintenance and a fresh coat of paint everywhere.

The lobby is beautiful with huge picture windows view of the Chagres River. The food was excellent especially the desserts. The hammock on the balcony was beautiful and comfy but hardly used it because there were so many other things to do. The narrow spiral staircase to go up the loft was cute but difficult to go up and down...

Hotel is situated in the rainforest. Very humid and wet climate. Rained hard all day one day. Hotels suffers somewhat from the surrounding climate. Stairs and hallways were generally slippery but not a real problem if you took your time. From this hotel we took a canal tour. Lobby is on ground level and rooms are below it. Sort of...

Stayed 5 days in 2012 with my senior father. This time returned with my husband for 7days. Hotel is located in a great location for birding, short hikes, and viewing the canal. I believe the reviews of substandard service and rude employees is undeserved. We had nothing but friendly, polite, smiling and professional service. Several knew us by name. Give...

Pros: Within the Panama Canal rainforest. Local fauna is visible in the hotel grounds. Great view from lobby through big windows panels. Very good pool. Free ping-pong table. Great for the many ecological tours available once there. Good breakfast; varied enough, nice waffles. Good view from windows, from both left and right sides. Cons: Old hotel need makeover. Careless staff,...

Wanted to go up stream to explore the Canal away from most of the tourist at the Miriflores locks. This is the place to go. The filmed a scene or two from the "Tailor of Panama" there. They offer several tours/ activities. I recommend boat tour of the canal and exploring the monkeys. Felt like I was in a movie....
