Great place, great employees, food is good. Activities are on time and the team is very helpful. Exept the humidity of the tropical environment, you need to be be prepared for that. I would recommend it.

The good: Location: Stunning!!! Couldn't ask for a better location Rooms: Very nice. All guestrooms face the river valley. The air con worked really well. The terrace was the perfect place to relax. Great shower. Water was only tepid but it was enough Cleanliness: Very clean. Some things needed attention, ie the significant amount of black dirt/mold along the wall up near the air conditioner vents Pool area: Gorgeous. Tours: Tour desk very efficient and helpful. Cable car tour was nice. The sloths were nice to see but theywere all curled up and couldn't really see them well in a covered area with no lighting, and if you are looking for an interactive experience, forget it. Not allowed. It's just viewing, basically an open-air zoo. Late Checkout: 20.00. The bad (and it was bad): Restaurants: Not as varied as advertised. I arrived on a Sunday. The ONLY lunch option was Don Caiman's (Shuttle ride away). They had ONE vegetarian item on the menu. Dinner on sunday nights is buffet only - no a la carte. I had a choice of white rice and some horribly soggy overcooked root veggies for warm dishes. Other than that, it was salad. The bar restaurant had a few veggie options; I had the veggie wrap, which was the most vile thing I've ever eaten. Soggy, dripping with grease (6 napkins to sop it up), and not a seasoning in sight, not even salt. Awful. The veggie sliders were the size of a large coin; not much better but at least there was some flavour. Monday evening was a la carte at the restaurant. One item offered in main dishes that was vegetarian (almost all the others were easily converted to vegetarian but nope, not an option). I ordered it, a coconut veggie curry; "not available. How about a veggie wrap?" I go back up to the bar and order a veggie pizza. Not available. Sliders. Not available. "How about a veggie wrap?" I went to the front desk, absolutely irate, and got the manager...he made the chef prepare me something...i miraculously got the coconut veggie curry that was 'not available.' It was flavorless as well. Breakfasts were not meant for vegetarians either; waffles one morning. hash browns the next. And then sides, because those are meals for a vegetarian, apparently. We eat nuts, fruits and veggies; who needs an actual meal?!?! I ended up having the omelette guy sautee me some of the veggie add-ons. Check-in: I booked online directly, which gave me a tour discount. When i arrived they had no record of my tour bookings (how convenient), despite me receiving an email from them confirming they were booked. She took a picture of the email. I got to the sloth sanctuary and they tried to charge me full price, despite me qualifying for the discount, which they had never heard of. That took 10 minutes of phone calls. My next tour I just paid full price because I couldn't be bothered. The girl at the tour desk can' do math; instead of my 10% discount she ended up giving me a 50% discount, then gave me 16.00 extra change (I corrected her). I put a 160.00 credit on my card so I would be able to charge meals and purchases to my room. That evening at the bar restaurant they had no record of that and wanted me to pay for my meal. Rooms cards were cancelled 24 hours after arrival; I walked all the way down to the room to find this out, and had to walk all the way back to the lobby. Every interaction I had, somewhere, had issues - IT issues, systems issues, things not as advertised, horrible food. The high note to these issues was the manager, Omar; he was exceptional at defusing the situation and resolving the issues.

Amazing view . We went all inclusive and the buffet food was excellent . Staff at dinner and breakfast very good . Tour desk very friendly and helpful . Hotel would benefit from a coat of paint . Week days were quiet and peaceful . Saturday night there was a Childrens party in the pool . Useful to know if that lunch on Saturdays and Sundays is a don caiman restaurant by the water rather than the hotel main restaurant . Tours we enjoyed we’re pipeline , tram and gatun lake and exhibitions

Was there for a wedding. The "all-inclusive" package was not so all inclusive. You could only eat for free at the buffet, which was only open certain hours (which no one seemed to know) and the buffet was also closed on weekend, meaning you had to walk 10 minutes to the boat house to get food. I asked the night desk person to put my breastmilk in the freezer, and after confirming that he put it in the freezer and not the refrigerator, I came back the next morning to find my breastmilk mostly melted. I should have checked in spanish but it was late and I was tired. When I was upset about the mistake, the day time manager said "Don't get mad at me" and "I don't know what to tell you" A) I was angry about the situation but hadn't personally attacked the maanger, and b) He didn't even try to see what he could do to make it better. His attitude seemed to be "well, I have your money, so too bad for you" That being said, the boat tour of the canal was amazing.

Absolutely fabulous! The staff, the rooms, the public space ~ all so delightful. Wildlife abounds! You can hike, take a tour, a tram or a boat - or just sit and enjoy the food/cocktails and not miss a thing. We will be back.

Could have been beautiful. Why not close several wings and focus on a few areas. So few people added to the sadness. Lobby well kept, dinner from the menu one night very good. Other buffets average. The monkey bar made a great margarita. Found a frog in our bathroom one morning not sure how it got there. The tour desk in the lobby is non functioning. You get on a truck to go down the hill to the tour desk. We only did the canal tour which was fantastic! A little paint would go a long way.

We booked a family loft all-inclusive room through oferta simple as a weekend getaway from Panama City for our daughter’s birthday. After the long tedious check-in process with one employee handling an entire line, we got to our room to find that the loft looked like it hadn’t been touched in a year. It was hot (No a/c), and there were spiderwebs hanging from the light fixtures. The worst part: both twin beds covered in dead flies, lizard poop, and pieces of hair.Furthermore, the widow was detached from the window frame- just hanging opened. As I was trying to call the front desk to get someone up to change the bedding and do a cleaning of the loft (to no avail- they are understaffed and don’t answer the phone), I watched out the window as my husband was helping our 2 daughters ages 2 and 7 into the hammock on the balcony. They weigh about 70 lbs combined. No sooner had they laid down that the hammock crashed to the ground. Our two year-old landed on the back of her head and 7 year old hurt her back. Both were hurt and in tears. Because I was unable to reach anyone on the phone, I headed to the front desk, only to wait in line 20 minutes, crying toddler in arms, to speak to the front desk worker about getting the loft cleaned, broken window, broken a/c, broken hammock. He said he would make a note and send someone. Returned to room to change for pool, waited for someone to show up, but no one did. Headed to pool and stopped by front desk again to remind them. The pool looked amazing in the pictures, so we were looking forward to it. However, more disappointment. I was hoping to order a mixed drink at the bar, but couldn’t bring myself to drink anything other than bottled water for fear of contracting dysentery, based on the lack of cleanliness at the pool bar. About 50 flies swarmed in and around the blender. Furthermore, no clean towels were available. Dirty towels and styrofoam cups littered the entire pool area. After about an hour of continually requesting clean towels, with the assurance from the bar tender that they were on their way, my husband went back up to the front desk to hunt some down. The final blow of the pool experience was that there were large chunks of algae floating in the pool. At first I thought they were giant hair balls, but after a few brushed by my legs and feet, I realized it was algae. Naturally, upon returning from the pool, the room had not been touched by housekeeping. My husband went back to the front desk again to remind them about the issues in our room. Finally, a repairman came as we were in the room showering and getting ready for dinner. He taped the window back into the frame, and a housekeeper changed the bedding. By the time we went to bed we were seriously debating returning home for the night. We should have because no one slept well with the a/c going in and out, dehumidifier beeping through the night, and the constant feeling of tiny bugs biting my feet and legs under the sheets. Save your money and just stay home. This place is run-down, understaffed, and down right filthy. (And I didn’t even mention the low quality of the food.)

The view and location of the resort is amazing. The rooms are old but comfy. If you don’t like nature and animals don’t come here. This is a place to relax and enjoy nature. We had bats in our balcony and in the hall. The tours are nice, there is a lot to do during the day. In the evening Troy can do a night safari. I hope all other facilities open again like the family club.
