Had a fabulous time at Camping Le Serpolin. Donna and Matt were wonderful hosts and couldn’t do enough for you. Everything you need on site, from clean toilets/showers to little shop selling supplies and plenty of books to read. Freshly baked croissants, bread and Pain au chocolat delivered to your door in the mornings. The new pool was fantastic and a great place to relax and sunbathe. Very peaceful and picturesque surrounded by country side, sunflowers and vineyards (even the roads were quiet)! Don’t miss BBQ night, lovely food and great way to know the other campers. Can’t wait to go back.
Spent three nights on our way in this idyllic site. so peaceful. very spacious pitches. Owners were so lovely and very helpful, Couldn't do enough. friendly and helpful . Will definitely stay again and definitely for longer. Photos don't do it justice and there is a new pool now that is absolutely fabulous.. Could have stayed three weeks.
We stayed here for two weeks in July. This is a fabulous small site with immaculate, modern toilets and showers. The owners cannot do enough to make sure your stay is pleasurable. There is a lot to see and do within a short drive. However we were quite happy just watching the sunsets with a glass on Anjou! We will be back.
We were happy to find this small site hidden away in the countryside near Vihiers and were lucky enough to spend two weeks there. Being the end of March we had the site to ourselves for most of the time, but were made so welcome by Donna, Matt, and their family, and especially Fergus their little dog! The site had spacious plots, and the toilets and showers were modern and absolutely spotless. A washing machine is also available if needed. Derek loved spending time by the pond behind our caravan which was full of fish. The outdoor swimming pool opens in the summer months. We were invited to join an outdoor family barbecue, which was good fun. We also enjoyed a tour of the local vineyard and sampled the Brossay wines...and bought a lot too!! A wonderful time was had on this site and we hope to return very soon. Thank you.…
Visited Camping Le Serpolin for a long weekend break. Stayed in the Gite which is comfy, clean and cosy. The Gite has 3 bedrooms, with very comfy beds, a great bathroom & well supplied kitchen. It has a large, lounge dining area. It has its own private decked area, with access to the pool and stunning views. The area is quiet and relaxing. With no light pollution you get a fabulous view of the night sky. The owners Donna & Mathew are very friendly welcoming & will go out of their way to help and to make your stay special. We went on an organized trip to a local vineyard, which was a great opportunity to try the local wines. Worth a visit: - Samur a very pretty town with a chateau and good shopping. - Le Lac restaurant, fantastic and beautiful location. A wonderful break and a great introduction to France. …
Love this place. It just feels like home away from home. The family who run it are so friendly and helpful. Peaceful countryside surroundings, but lots to do within a short car journey. Looking forward to returning again at Easter.
Unfortunately were only able to stay one night in this lovely campsite but will definitely be back for a longer stay. Stayed in our touring caravan on route for Portugal in January So peaceful we overslept! Small site, well organised, great amenities run by an English couple, Mat and Marie who were extremely friendly. Imagine it would be fantastic in the summer with views of terrific sunsets. Highly recommended
This quiet campsite provides an excellent base for exploring the Loire Valley. Facilities are clean and well maintained and the proprietors have thought carefully about what they can offer to make your stay special, for example the provision of a swapping library and a freezer full of ice creams that relies on honesty for payment. The welcome was very friendly and Matt and Donna-Marie could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.
Had a totally lovely relaxing week here in August. Clean and comfortable with all the amenities we could ask for. The icing on the cake for us is the small deck area at the back where we ate all our meals and enjoyed a glass of wine and some wonderful stargazing! The pool is just outside the gite which was great for a float around and then back to the deck to dry off. The campsite looked great too, there is a play area for younger children and the pitches have lots of space around them. Great trip for wine tasting too! Thanks for a lovely stay :)
Back again for the third time. Donna - Marie and Matt made us very welcome. We flew over from Stansted and arrived about 8pm. Luckily it was bbq night so we joined in. Wow- the food was lovely, salads, sausages, burgers, chicken, pork all delicious. They then served cheeses and biscuits followed by some delicious tarts. Very sociable evening, meeting some old friends and making new ones. The shower refurb is brilliant and the new paths and lights are great too. We made full use of the pool and the ice creams (€1 each). The fully serviced pitches are brilliant, no filling up the water and emptying the waste every day! The croissant/ bread run that Donna Marie is doing means you can wake up make some coffee and enjoy fresh croissants before deciding what to do with your day. Much appreciated. The sunsets and clear sky were amazing. So much to do in this area we still haven't done it all. Great site…
