After a dynamic vacation in Athens my husband and I were looking for different Greece: peaceful, romantic, real and authentic. If you are looking for something similar- Eumelia Organic Agrotourism Farm is that special place. The place is easily accessable by car from Athens. From the first moment of the stay at Eumelia you realize its uniqueness for several reasons: 1. Conscious vision and concept of the place. Nature is the center of this concept, with due respect and love to it. You feel it in every detail of the Farm: infrastructure, food, activities. 2. Eco-house we stayed in made us feel like home: we had all we needed, ergonomic and functional design of the house, and at the same time very cozy, the fireplace kept the place warm over the night and extra wood for fireplace was always available. One extra-bonus for total escape is TV absense however you always can use high-speed wifi if you like or have to be connected. 3. Food: it was amazing and definetely the best experience we had in Greece even comparing to many Michelin recommended places in Greece. It was home-made, fresh, great variaty, authentic Greek and at the same time very modern. Good wine experience - organic and unusual choice. 4. Farm activities: olive oil tasting and farm tour is a must. We were limited in time and were not able to experience more but there is no doubt that there are more avtivities to enjoy. If you love running you will find a plenty of XC pathways. 5. Nature: speechless, you have to see it by your own eyes. Air is so fresh, that you sleep like a baby. There are interesting places to visit nearby for example Monemvasia. And of course our stay would not be so pleasant and comfortable without the owners of the Farm, Frangiskos and Marilena, and their kind hospitality, good sense of humor and deep love to the place as well as without assistance of Panos. Thank you very much and we will be back one day!

We were so happy to be able to return to Eumelia after 4 years. Eumelia is such a magical place, a paradise set amidst the olive trees. Frangiskos and Marilena along with their sons are the perfect hosts. We loved our time spent with them over delicious food freshly made sourced from their garden and made with their own estate olive oil. Marilena leads olive oil tastings and wine tastings that are informative and so much fun. Accommodations are in your own house, which is so comfortable. Because of covid, we were provided with our own breakfast in addition to ingredients from the garden to cook with if we wanted. Each house has an equipped kitchen with staple ingredients, coffee, tea, cookies, granola, and so on. If you want to leave the grounds, Eumelia is close to many points of interest like Monemvasia, Gytheio, and the rest of Mani. Staying at Eumelia is truly a retreat and peaceful escape. We can't wait to go back.

Our second visit to this tranquil agro-tourismo get away was even better than the first. Fangiskos and Marielena are the consummate hosts. Their villas are spacious and well appointed. We did a local wine tasting one night with natural wines, and an olive oil tasting on another. Three very different olive oils, all proprietary, the last of which was so unique and powerful we felt its positive effects immediately. But the best thing about Eumelia is meeting the other guests at dinner. Each time we have been we have met quality people from around the world. And Marielena's dishes are worthy of any great Greek restaurant, and filling. Walking home under the stars is the perfect way to end the night.

We did a 1-day trip to Eumelia for a farm tour and Olive Oil Tasting session. WOW! The farm is so beautiful and peaceful. You are truly in the midst of nature. Frangiskos and his wife were such gracious hosts! We got to learn all about the farm, how it was started, the owners' back-story, about the flora found naturally on the farm. Even took a picture standing inside a 2,000 year old olive tree! We had a 5 year old and 3 year old with us and they enjoyed running around the farm, playing with the dogs and geese, picking and eating fresh veggies and herbs from the garden. The olive oil tasting was incredibly informative! We learned so much about the differences between different qualities of olive oils, how to identify aromas in the oils, how to tell a good quality olive oil from a not-so-good one, the difference between pumice, virgin and extra virgin olive oils, etc. We even got tips for pairing the different olive oils. Everything was from their farm - the oils, the herbs and veggies all from their farm. What an outstanding experience! We would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

PROS - Quick, easy communication prior to arrival. (I had to rebook twice because of COVID) - Easy-to-see signs from the road to the property. Recommend a GPS for getting to Gouves - My original booking price was honored - The hosts, the intern from France (unfortunately I didn't get her name), and the big black dog were very hospitable. Frangiskos provided me with hiking maps and Marilena prepared a dinner just for me when I wanted to eat earlier than the other guests - Frangiskos' and Marilena's commitment to the environment and self-sufficiency is admirable and inspirational - Property displays a good eye for design - Amazing food. The produce is literally picked that day, and the preparation shows a lot of care - Even though it's rustic/rural, it has all the conveniences: shower with very hot water, comfortable bed, strong WiFi, mini fridge, etc. - Serene surroundings: incredible light, hundreds (thousands?) of olive trees, churring cicadas, geese parading by, walking paths through the fields. Loved it - Communal dining. I didn't take advantage of it this time, but the idea of it is appealing - It's satisfying squeezing your own oranges, making coffee in the French press, setting your table. They make it easy CONS - Mini fridge is very loud - Felt a little neglected on day two Eumelia isn't for everyone. It's very remote, and it's a farm. If you need distractions, don't like insects, don't want to do your own dishes... it's probably not for you. I found the peaceful rural setting to be a wonderful respite from living in a condo in a big city.

we stayed at the Levander house for 3 nights and spent most of our time reconnecting with our selves. we really needed this place to be for that time and we will sure come back. it has been 5 years since the last time we visited and the vibe, the atmosphere, the family of Frangiskos and Marilena an their amazing warmth and kindness helped us experience nature in a way we had not had the chance to do so before. The food, the olive oil, the wine and the energy of Eumelia are unique. Looking forward to going back.

This was our second visit to the farm, and the first time we spent the night in one of the bungalows. Just amazing. Everything. From the welcome, to the rooms, to the food and wine, of course the olive oil, the concept... I could go on and on. It really is a must visit place for anyone interested in seeing another side of Greece and to meet people so passionate in what they do (and they do it well).

Eumelia is the ideal place if you want to live a high level vacation experience in nature! The house we stayed in was cozy and clean and I most enjoyed the sophisticated taste of the eco oriented decoration inside and outside! The food was fresh and made by the hosts, always healthy and tasty! I had a great time each day of our staying and it makes me wanna visit it again!

We visited Eumelia in August and it was one of the best and most serene vacations we ever had! The owners were very helpful and eager to assist in any way they could (from rearranging the house we would be staying at to accommodate us since we would be two couples to suggesting places to visit and restaurants to try), which made our stay even more pleasant. The grounds are secluded and beautifully catered to, the accommodations are exceptionally clean and comfortable and the food is amazing, always with fresh ingredients from the farm! It is apparent in every way that this farm is a vision of a more clean and self sufficient approach of living, respectful of nature and what it has to offer, executed with a lot of love. Would 100% recommend and we cannot wait to visit Eumelia again during the winter!!! Thank you for the amazing experience!!!
