The room was lovely and modern with a great wet room bathroom (the bathroom could do with an electric toothbrush charging socket). The location is great right on the seafront and the welcome was lovely and friendly. Unfortunately the two things I hope for from a bed and breakfast is sleep and a nice breakfast...Unfortunately the walls are paper thin... More

Spotlessly clean and well presented room, lovely dog friendly people who were most obliging and the bed in room 3 was really comfy. There was a bit of work going on as they developed the planned bar and restaurant, but nothing that would detract you from enjoying the place. The local beach would benefit from having the seaweed cleaned off,... More

My family and I stayed there for 2 nights this Summer. I have never been so appalled by what was reviewed to be a 'lovely break'. A full skip, multiple cars and at least 2 white vans were directly outside of our room which the owners would like to work on whatever the time. The walls were incredibly thin and... More

This B&B has a wonderful location, right on the seafront at Birchington, near the beautiful beach. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and we felt very welcome, along with our JRT Rosie. Our room was smart and spotlessly clean. Bed linen was high quality. The shower was wonderful! The breakfast arrangements are a bit quaint; a voucher for £5.00... More

A nice stay- comfortable room- a bit on the small size but the price was very good. They are building/extending for a cafe so at the moment breakfast is at the restaurant over the road( or in the village if you prefer) but that was good. The breakfast voucher covers a £5 breakfast but you will need to top it... More

We stayed for 3 nights in the Waves and we hope to come again soon ! Very nice and comfy rooms, warm welcome from Jaine (and her son !) and a perfect location, litteraly by the sea. Good breakfast just accross the road, with a stunning view up to Recolver.

The Waves is an outstanding B+B! Directly onto the sea front, our room had an air of nautical theme, but without being OTT. Lovely landlady with a great eye for relaxing decor. The restaurant across the road offers fantastic service, and although the accommodation is annexed to the private bungalow, every effort is put towards your privacy. Will be returning to this beautiful bay.

Only stayed one night on the way to the ferry (only about 40 minutes away). What a lovely place. Beach on the doorstep and good parking facilities. We didn't stay for breakfast because of an early ferry to France the next morning so can't comment on that but it brought the price for a night stay down. Dog was made... More

The waves is in an outstanding location, I could sit with the door open and see the sea and the beach. If you like the beach you cant get much better than this! The room was spotless and the bed was comfy with nice fresh soft bedding. Just what we needed after driving over from the Netherlands. The owners were... More

Walls were very thin. No toilet brush in the bathroom. No shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. No blind in the window so everyone can see in unless you draw the curtain and sit in the dark (bit weird as it's still daytime) the phone kept ringing from the owners bungalow. The rooms have been converted from their own home so each room had... More
