My partner booked a massage for me On my birthday. The hotel is tired and far from the standard of any other Mercure we have visited. The pool area is surrounded by carpet and the changing rooms rivalled the school changing rooms from back the day. The receptionist on the pool side with short hair was very unfriendly and rude.... Stayed here for one night en-route to Northern UK after arriving from France. We booked a family room, which, when we opened the door, was perfect. A large room with one very large double bed and 2 singles - note, there was no lift up to the rooms in the section of the building that we were staying in. If... More

After reading a few bad reviews my expectations were low, but we got a good Expedia deal on a family room and needed a place to crash after a day at Leeds Castle. The fact is has a pool was a plus as it was an extra thing for the kids to do. We got a very nice welcome at... More

Great venue with excellent quality staff in al areas that we tried. We stayed overnight and had a great time. The rooms were clean and well presented but the beds were a little stiff and the pillows were well to hard! Food we ordered in the bar was fine and the whole visit were brilliant! Thanks Guys!

I speak French but chose not to. The French staff chose not to speak English that I recognise. Checkin: confused. Room: unbearably hot (fan provided). Food: fortunately there's a Morrison's cafe 10 minutes drive away. Bath big enough for an elf. Leisure facilities (pool etc): good. Breakfast: confused/adequate. Grounds: extensive. Checkout: confused (even though we'd arranged express checkout). Parking/wi-fi fine.... More

We stayed here for one night as we were in the area to go to Diggerland. The major positive for this hotel is its location. It's very close to the centre of Maidstone but in a quiet area and minutes from the motorway. The hotel itself was disappointing. For a family room the room was small. Our room (314) was... More

This Hotel was a disappointment to us. Not at all the usual Mercure standard. The Hotel was looking tired and worn, the food was not of great quality either. The staff on reception were not very friendly. We did strike one helpful girl who did a Google search for a launderette for us.

Whilst staying at the hotel we had afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco. Sandwiches were really tasty, soft fresh bread and a variety of fillings. Cake selection was excellent and portion sizes were good. Offered regular refills of tea and staff were accomodating and friendly.
