Picked this hotel for its closeness to Mykonos New Port as we were island hopping. A huge bonus was the free shuttle transfer from the airport arranged by the hotel following an earlier request. Our room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking the ferry port, which although a busy view was pleasant to sit and watch off our balcony. From what we saw, most rooms seemed to have good outlooks. The room itself was large, bright and modern and very well equipped (coffee machine, fridge, tv etc). There were plenty of toiletries in the very pleasant, large bathroom, great shower. The pool area was very pleasant to sit around, and not overcrowded when we were there in September. Pool towels were available. The bar and restaurant were very close to the pool, and we enjoyed having a drink by the pool, and enjoyed very good meals in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was good quality and with a good choice. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating. There is a regular seabus to take you into Mykonos new and old town (which takes about 15 minutes) for around 2 euros per person, and this is located directly across the road from the hotel and runs very regularly, very enjoyable to travel on. Travelling in the opposite direction the nearest beach (Agios Stefanos) is less than half a mile away, and there is a bus stop outside the hotel, but you could walk there, though it is quite an uphill walk. We got the bus times confused, and a driver from the hotel took pity on us and kindly dropped us off at the beach. In summary, a very pleasant experience and we will definitely want to return to Makis Place.…
Location very pleasant, they offer a free transport to the airport or the port. Staff was very attentive and great. The place was well decorated. The only problem was the Wi-Fi that was inconsistent and the restaurant/breakfast quality was average.
My husband and I travelled to Greece in September. We were very excited about our trip/adventure. The location was perfect being an easy walking distance to the ferries and sea bus. The room was clean and more than roomy enough for the 2 of us. Although, the top step to our room (#14) had me fall the first day and trip several times walking to my room. We both had to walk carefully. Buffet breakfast was included and had a variety of delicious things to eat. The pool area was perfectly located. The staff was warm and helpful and that made our stay even more special. We certainly are recommending this hotel.
First of all, the staff were highly responsive to every e-mail sent. I asked if they could do something to make my best friend feel extra special the day of our arrival since it was her 45th birthday. They did so by printing a sign with her name and Happy Birthday on it and putting two balloons on the bed before our arrival. The airport transfer provided to and from the hotel was punctual. The hotel and premises are extremely clean. The dining experience at their restaurant on site was lovely. The breakfast provided was great. We booked a budget room ( a room with a terrace, but no view of the sea), but still enjoyed it. It was big enough for the two of us. All in all, I highly recommend Maki's Place. I have already told all my students and friends where they should stay if they ever visit Mykonos.…
This lovely hotel is faultless. The staff are efficient and brilliant. Very well run place. White, bright and clean areas. Good breakfast. Efficient shuttle service in a tidy clean bus. Spotless bedrooms. Excellent clean pool. Very good location. Frequent service on 2 Euro ferry to town. Evangelia on reception is fantastic. Nothing she cant do. Highly recommend!
A very decent place to go and very quiet nearby the best restaurant that I found mathios tavern 2 minutes away from the sea bus to the town. The prices was not exceptional and the brunch was so good and made right away and not in a buffet that’s something it should be appreciated.
The staff was amazing at this beautiful hotel! They helped us multiple times with big smiles. The rooms are very clean and well shaped with everything we needed. We LOVED the A\C in each room, the beautiful pool and the delicious restaurant with an amazing free buffet breakfast. The location was perfect - not in the loud main city, but very close with 2 modes of transportation to get there. There is not a single thing I would change about Maki’s Place!
Stayed one night as an overnight break between airport and ferry port. Big selling point was the free transfer from airport to hotel and then hotel to port.. we were delayed getting through customs but the driver waited. The following morning waiting again, bang on time to take us to the port and took the trouble to check the ferry time table and deliver us to the exact part or the port and share the revised arrival time of the boat. As we were staying one night only we had the most basic room but it was still nice with a really modern bathroom. Pool is good. On site restaurant did a nice salad lunch. Veal steak for dinner was great and breakfast was also good. Covid safe with masks, hand gel and gloves at breakfast. We would definitely stay again
Nice family resort with a nice restaurant & pool area. The port was just opposite where you could get a water taxis to the old town for only 2 euros per person & under 10 mins. Staff were very helpful also! Great spot!
We have spent there 3 nights. Price was quite high but as everywhere in this island during summertime. The main advantage of this hotel was location. You can easily get by the ferry to Mykonos town for only 2 eur. By foot the road is not good. Breakfast was simple but OK. Room basic and bathroom needs renovation. Not so nice. Nice view from balcony.
