Nice welcome with a glass of orange juice. Rooms are not well isolated one from each other. We would hear the other doors closing at night. Overall experience was fine with a very low price compare to the average on Mykonos

The Hubster and I spent two nights in the wonderfully managed hotel. Irini was out hostess and I've never seen anyone except my sister in law in France manage a service oriented establishment. I witnessed Irini check quests in, insure that they were given knowledge to get around and the escort the quests to their rooms. I watched her take 30 mins to 45 mins to help a solo, female traveler from Asia, who was absolutely lost get back on track as Irini became her personal travel agent for a very extensive trip. Whew! That wore me out just watching. Then the Wonder Woman Irini would cook a full breakfast for a minimal fee that includes coffee and freshly squezzed juices. Irini is very attentive. Her laughter made my days. The grounds are impeccably neat. I did not get the grounds keepers name but she always spoke and had a smile. She keeps the rooms very tidy. The Owner, Katarina will come in and will see to your needs as well. A very beautiful and locate close to the New Port, beaches and buses to Mikonos City and the Little Venice district. We will be back next year. Book now. You don't want to miss out on this jewel! De'Lise "O Mavaro Naós" Temple

We stayed here one night while wisiting Mykonos and Delos in September. Apartments are located in the middle of the road between the new port and the old port which was the best option for us. It is basic accommodation with clean room and bathroom, everything you need for a short trip. Receptionist was really nice, gave us a map and a feew tips of where to go and where to eat at the old port. Only problem is, that is next to a really frequented road and intersection connecting the airport with the port so there was a lot of noise and traffic at all times and planes were flying abive our heads making lot of noise all day and night. I was OK with it because I sleep like a dead man but my girlfriend was not happy about it.

The Room and bathroom were clean, but the reception was not what we expected. When we arrived, the woman at the reception told us that the last bus coming back from the old port to Turlos every night was at 2 a.m., but instead the last bus leaves at midnight. Because of this misinformation, on out first night out, we missed the last bus and had to wait in line for 45 min to find a taxi! Furthermore, Kavaki is not competitive: the nearby Maria's has lower prices, which include breakfast, and provides transfer to and from the airport. By far, a better deal!

Its maybe 2 bus stops from the port and a few from town. The staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions on where to eat. Nice size rooms, can accommodate a triple. It is outside of the main town but its quite and relaxing. You can walk to the pier and take the water taxi or bus.

A great place for a quick stay. It's in the middle of the new and old port and a 20 minute (give or take) walk into Mykonos town. The ladies at the reception desk are lovely and the rooms and external bathroom were all very clean. My only flaw would be that it is close to some sort of main road/intersection so there are many cars at all hours of the night which makes it very hard to sleep, in saying that the walls are quite thin too but that didn't bother us much. If you're on a low budget and looking for a quick stay in Mykonos this is a great place to stay.

Kavaki Rooms is located between and within walking distance of both the old and new ports. Allow 20 minutes walking time to teach either the old or new port. However, be advised that there are no sidewalks. Therefore, pedestrians must walk on the shoulder of the road. This is dangerous and should not be undertaken at night. We were met by a friendly older woman, perhaps the owner, and shown to our room. The rooms were very basic with simple and dated decor, but clean. The woman also provided us with friendly assistance in locating a nearby market and directions to the old port. The TV channels, like most hotels in Mykons, Paros, etc., were Greek and the TV signal was not always very clear. However, we were only staying one night. The beds were reasonably comfortable but basic. The room had a fridge where we could easily store our water, food, etc. and it did a good job of keeping our drinks and food cold and had plenty of room for several bottles and bags. The hotel also had free WiFi Internet access and we easily connected our tablets to the hotel Internet service without any trouble. Upon check-out, we were again greeted by the older woman and perhaps her daughter and son-in-law, who helped us with choosing a ferry time from the schedule. They checked on their computer and showed us the ferry times and the exact location of the old port on Google Maps. In this regard, they were very accommodating and helpful. One observation, and this is common on Mykonos, is that there is the potential for much noise. There were many young men staying in this and nearby properties and they were dancing, laughing and being generally noisy until the wee hours of the morning. We travel with earplugs, so we were not terribly troubled by the excessive noise. However, please be advised that this hotel is no exception and that there is the potential for this kind of partying and noise throughout the night. In sum, this was a very basic, clean and conveniently located hotel with friendly owners and staff. I would recommend this as a very basic, short-stay property for travelers, especially to those who may wish to connect to a ferry at either the old or new port. Both are within walking distance.

We tested Kavaki studios as a family of four with two young kids. We have mixed behaviors about the place. The price paid for one night was high, the place was clean but not so well located from the centre. The planes landing at the airport are above your head. What disappointed most was that the landlady insisted to be paid quickly by cash at our arrival. And we never saw her again and had to give the money to the cleaning lady when departing. This is a place run as a business before all other considerations...

We had 3 triple occupancy rooms at his location just off shore right between the old and new port. Owners always present and extremely cordial, friendly and helpful and they can also pick you up from and bring you to port. Rooms very clean and recently updated. Beds were comfortable (singles) bathroom size very efficient, small fridge in room. There is a 20ft x 20ft centrally located common room (8 small tables) which is very well ventilated on hot days and has transparent plastic curtains which can be used on colder days. Great for kids/families as a gathering point or to play cards/games if free time. There is parking available if a car is rented. Also have drinks/coffees/water and breakfast available. Very close to a few good restaurants and only a 10 min walk to old port for buses to any beach or anywhere on island. Or if you're up to it, it's a very nice walk (20 min) along the shore to oceanside shopping and restaurants and maze like pattern of endless stores! We consider this to be very good value for money!
