I had a very good time in this Hotel, beautiful location overlooking the sea, excellent service, an excellent team led by the beautiful Miss Kalypso, a very nice person and very careful to make you feel at the maximum relaxation. I recommend it to the great connoisseurs of this wonderful island

Me and my friend stayed at Avra for a week. All I can say is wow! The room was amazing, so clean and modern style. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. It was a 15 minute walk to the closest beach which was really nice and only 10 minutes to the town with the seabus for 2€ /person from the port just 5 minutes away from the hotel. And the staff at the hotel, where do I even begin…. EVERYONE working at the hotel were so helpful and generous. They had answers to all your questions and arranged/helped with whatever you needed. They truly cared about you as a guest. A very special thanks to Kalypso in reception for going out of her way to give me and my friend the best tips on Mykonos, arranging for us so we could go on the boat trip we really wanted to do and for just being lovely and caring every single day of our stay. You rarely meet such a caring and truly service minded person. She was a professional at her job! So thankyou to everyone at Avra! We are so happy with our stay. If me and my friend ever visit Mykonos again, we will definitely come back here. // Olivia

My husband and I stayed here May 2022 and we could not fault it! The room is modern and spotless, very comfortable bed and ample amenities. Breakfast was a selection of freshly cooked to order eggs/bacon, croissants and the usual cereals, cheese and meats, with fresh orange juice and a variety of coffees. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private pool which I would highly recommend - fantastic view of the port and sunset! For us the location was perfect. It is only a few minutes drive into Mykonos town or even better, you can catch the sea ferry just across the road for €2 which is what we did! The staff here are super welcoming and really made our stay special at Avra. An extra thank you to Kalypso for researching boat trips for us, recommending beach’s to visit and arranging our late check out. We will be recommending Avra to all our friends and family and can’t wait to return!

Let’s address the elephant in the room – the location isn’t in Mykonos Town per say, which has to be accessed by a €10 taxi (which reception will order for you, and there’s a bustling taxi station right in the centre of the town) or else a sea bus (a lovely and quick ride albeit a 10-minute walk on a footpath-less road to the departure point at the New Port). You couldn’t safely walk to the town despite it being a mere kilometre away as the crow flies – the road is too windy and dangerous with massive lorries whizzing past. But where the Avra makes up for it is price, service and the room. We were coming to the end of our trip a low on funds, and given how expensive Mykonos can be (€9 bottles of beer and €25 shots of whiskey) we were glad the hotel had a comparatively low price point, and were generally happy to make the trip back-and-forth. They even upgraded our room to give us a sea (and New Port) view complete with ocean liners the size of apartment blocks, though do yourself a favour and splash out for a room with a mini pool – we were extremely envious of our neighbours below when the day was at its hottest. The room was modern, spotless and so well-designed. Both the air con and the waterfall-headed shower were strong, there was a mini fridge, desk and TV with some English channels. We watched Erin Brockovich while chowing down on €9 wraps from the nearby Cantina – a delivery order that Odysseus on reception called in on our behalf, and which arrived in minutes. Breakfast was nice albeit basic enough with croissants, ham, cheese, omelets, cereal and coffee. The bar was limited though we got a strong rum and Coke which was nice. There’s also a small but very good supermarket beside the Cantina restaurant where we got our water, beers (Mythos and Alpha FTW) and snacks. All the staff were so friendly at all times and worked so hard to ensure we’d everything we needed. Special thanks to Odysseus, Kalypso, and Maria who kindly dropped us to the port on the day we were getting the boat back to Athens. A great option at a great price point considering the small trade-off.

Usually I don’t read long reviews so I’ll put it down shortly. This hotel is sooo nice! That terrace view is the best way to start your morning with, the location is super handy, the room was clean and specious! 3 key people in the house: Apostolos, the breakfast guy, artistic soul and great musician, Big George, the morning chef and the afternoon problem solver, and the one and only Maria, the one who puts a smile on your face, helps you whatever you need with, and might have with you a shot of tequila ;) great place, thank you avra family!

When I first arrived at Avra studios I thought it was a bit distant from town, once shown my studio and saw the view I feel in love with this plac, Adriana the receptionist made me feel very welcome and even Maria the owner came to greet me. I stayed for 6 nights and rented a scooter to explore the island and realised how close by everything was and convenient with out having the crowds downtown Mykonos, the view is to die for and enjoyed the best sunsets I have ever experienced. Very clean rooms, cooking facility and peaceful, Maria and George who are the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome so it’s like a home away from home. While staying here you need to try Nikos tavern which is owned by Maria’s father and her husband George has a fantastic souvenir shop down town. I also have to mention that Maria has the loviest and cutest dog called Lou which is the mascot of Avra studios.

Nice apartments on beach front. The location is good, roughly 1 Km from Mykonos port and 2 Km from the old port/city center. Large and clean studios, small kitchen and bathroom. Each studio has a terrace with view of the sea. The place does not serve breakfast and parking space is very limited: I recommend you rent scooters/ATVs.

Avra studios are beautiful and centrally located close to all amenities and accessible by bus and water taxi to the main town. Room and en-suite bathroom were very clean and well maintained. On the "down side" -There is no kettle or coffee machine in the room, so I suggest if you're a coffee addict to take a small kettle with for making coffee in the room.

Located 25 min walking from the center of Mykonos...but this is not the main problem! You can't walk as you are on a main crowded street WITHOUT SIDEWALK!! You have always to call a taxi to move....not all the rooms have sea view! Mine for example was inside with only a window facing another room...then the room was noisy, with a fridge buzzing and beds old and uncomfortable! I dont see any reasons why one should stay here...away from everything and taxi for every move!!!
