Tired room with half shower screen missing fridge cupboard door broken wash basin plug broken and no toiletries. Food repetative but salads good. Worst all inclusive ever with gin, vodka, rum and whisky not included and no proper mixers. Saving grace is happy efficient staff.
Adelais hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the swimming pools are very nice and the food was fabulous. It’s in a very quiet location and is a ten minute walk to a lovely beach. It is a forty minute bus journey to Chania (3.60 euros). I would recommend this hotel if you want a peaceful relaxing holiday.
Just had a week here and it was amazing the food is good very fresh and lots of it . The hotel staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble . Costas the guy on reception is so great at recommending places to visit and local information . Some lovely places include chania an old market town with a beautiful harbour and fantastic shops and restaurants. Also Platanias and Kolymbari and we did an excursion to elafonissi beach so beautiful . The local bus is great every half an hour and so easy to use .
We arrived at lunch time and were greeted by a very friendly happy receptionist called Eva ,she was so lovely and helpful throughout our stay :) Our room was lovely with a big balcony that overlooked the main swimming pool . Food at this hotel was incredible , everything was tasty and even my fiancé who is incredible fussy found something everyday to eat . The staff were all very friendly and worked hard to make sure everyone was happy and had what they needed. The hotel was very quiet as expected , but we were happy with this some times having the pool to ourselves . The housekeeper unsure of her name is amazing ! The rooms are immaculate as are the hotel grounds ! The hotel location is great as it’s in each reach of lots of other places . We used the local bus to get around which was very cheap . The only one small negative I have was I didn’t enjoy the spirits but the local beer and white wine were lovely :) We were sad to leave and cannot wait to return x…
Hidden gem! Small family/couple hotel on outskirts of Chania.Lovely and helpful staff. Very clean.Food basic but tasty. 2 swimming pools and 1 paddling pool for kiddos.Very quiet area. Short walk (5min ) to sea.And taverna. Snacks/ice cream etc available between meals.Staff speaks good English. Definitely we gonna be back. Big shout to Ava receptionist, she can solve any issue with smile on her face.
The previous reviewer has summed up all aspects of this hotel really well. We too stayed during the pandemic but found the quietness to our favour. It became noticeably busy the day we left so we felt priviliged to have experienced the hotel prior to this point. We felt the hotel adapted remarkably well to the covid situation with their restrictions & increased hygeine measures. We're sure at times this was frustrating (i.e. cancelling theme nights) & meant staff were operating outside of their normal comfort zone but they did not display this. The two bar men were extremely hard-working, professional and friendly, getting acquainted with individual guest preferences impressively quickly. Eva (reception) was also helpful and very friendly too. Room cleaning every other day was discreet, efficient & to a good standard. Three star is a fair rating as some maintenance issues such as shower drainage (tray overflows into bathroom) & air-con could be improved and we were surprised you had to hire a room kettle & safe, but none of this was to the detriment of our overall stay. Location was good for us but as the nearest beach is pebble it's worth researching your preferences. Local shops were walking distance and perfect for our needs. We hired a car for part of the stay which definitely provided greater accessibility to this part of the island. Overall we were really pleased, though obviously our experience may not be a typical peak-season representation due to the impact of coronavirus.…
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Adelais Hotel in Tavronitis for a week all inclusive. Before flying, We Booked a taxi transfer from Chania Airport via the hotel. It was Very well organised and only cost 90 euros for a return trip. On arrival, our air con was not working but this was quickly sorted by one of the very helpful staff. As the week went on, our time here got better and better. As the reviews state, the hotel is quiet and we came during the pandemic and so it was much quieter than normal. However this is what we were looking for so it wasn’t a problem. As Brits, we found majority of guests were Polish at the time of our stay but equally as friendly! The staff were very friendly, always with a smile on their faces and the two men on the bar (we don’t know their names) made our stay particularly enjoyable. Eva on the reception desk was very helpful and informative too. The food is incredible for a 3 star. Not once in the week we stayed did we have the same meal twice. They do pasta/spaghetti with different sauces each day, lots of meat, a range of potatoes, great choice of salad, soup and some amazing desserts. We couldn’t fault the food one bit. In the afternoons there are hot dogs and ice cream incase you feel a little bit peckish still. The hotel is immaculately clean, the maid came every 2 days but around the pool it was spotless. The room is traditional, with a balcony, and ours over looked the sea. There is a small fridge, shower, toilet and TV. There are 2 main pools and a kids pool which are lovely. The hotel location we found was perfect. It was 15 minutes on the bus from Platanias for your bars and restaurants and a livelier experience, 40 minutes on the bus from Chania which we did as a day out and we loved, and a 10 minute walk from a little village with a supermarket. A pebble beach is a 10 minute walk too. The bus service was good and cheap, sometimes it didn’t turn up but we expected that! The service of this hotel is most definitely not 3 star, more like a 4 star! We had an excellent week here, our expectations were low due to travelling during corona virus and having paid so little, but the hotel exceeded our expectations in every aspect. We can’t thank the hotel enough for a relaxing week in the sun surrounded by lovely people.…
We spent a fabulous week here at the end of September/beginning October on an all inclusive basis. We arrived very late but there was an envelope waiting for us with very good instructions to find out room and food had been left in room for us. This hotel had 3 lovely clean pools and masses of sun loungers. The rooms are spotlessly clean and cleaners come and clean 6 days a week with sheets and towels changed every other day. Food is buffet style and there is masses of choice and all delicious. All the staff are very helpful, polite and courteous and Eva who works on reception is very knowledgeable and booked any trips we wanted to go on. All in all a fabulous week and we can't wait to go back again next year.
We had a lovely holiday here. One week all-inclusive. The staff were very friendly, food was varied and tasty, the pools were clean and attractive. The local beach is pebbly, which means it's much less busy than other beaches nearby. You can rent a sun lounger at the local taberna and spend a very nice day there. The staff were so helpful. Thanks to all!
Was lovely and perfect location for family. Georges people who working in hotel. Excellent food and service. We Recommend this hotel for family with small children for relaxing holiday. very clouse to beautiful beach
