Beds are comfy, air can, fly screens on windows, fridges in rooms, individual balconies with washing line to hang up wet swim wear all a gods send. Staff made up the rooms every day so they were clean & tidy when you returned later in the day. Negative is not enough sun parasols around the pool for the sun loungers, meant people were up at crack of dawn to bag those that do. Without them, there is no shade when the temperature is sweltering, mid to late 30s this week.

Dear 147Samj, We want to thank you for your kind comments. We do understand the problem with the too much sun and we are in the process of buying 4 more parasols. Although it is very busy this year, we have not yet achieved the cashflow needed to purchase the parasols unfortunately. I hope in the season we will have the chance to correct this or else next year. See you next year. kind regards Vasilis (Bill) Vogiatzis Manager Of HOtel Pasiphae

This was our second stay and certainly won’t be our last. We’ve tried lots of the hotels in Kalloni Bay and this is the best The staff were lovely, don’t believe all that rubbish about Bill being grumpy- you should see him at the BBQ doing Zorba’s dance! The breakfasts were probably the best we’ve had in Greece, lots of choice, just missing some fresh fruit to make it perfect. The rooms were a bit dated but had proper shower cubicles with shower gel and handwash supplied. The beds in our room were comfortable and air con was free of charge. Safety deposit was available in the lobby for a small charge. The pol area is lovely, very comfortable sun beds although they were a bit heavy to move and it could do with a few more umbrellas. It’s a short walk to the village but I would recommend a torch for the walk back as the road is quite dark and it’s best to make yourselves known! We will definitely be going back again next year.

Dear Rosalina-ballerina, we want to thank you for your kind comments. The only thing that we would like to mention is that from yesterday we have solved the problem with the umbrellas in the pool area and we have completed the installation of 4 new umbrellas and all the sunbeds are covered with an umbrella for shade. About me, my only demand is that people should meet me, talk to me, and give me a chance. After all, I surely do not bite and I am the first who will help them in a difficult situation if needed. I hope that from next year and after 35 years of operation, the municipality will do something about this and a torch will not be needed to walk from the village. kind regards Vasilis (Bill) Vogiatzis Manager Of HOtel Pasiphae

This was our second visit to the Pasiphae, the first being in 2023. This time, we brought our son, daughter and their partners for their first visit. Like the reviewer below, I had emailed the hotel to say that we were returning to celebrate my 60th birthday but received no reply. I did not intend to have special treatment or a party organised but it would have been good to receive an acknowledgment with the option to organise a few extras that I would be happy to pay for. Sadly, Vasilis, did not engage with us at all during our visit other than one greeting to my husband but all the other staff were lovely and interactive and a credit to the hotel. The rooms were clean but a bit tired and dated. The air conditioning was free and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Our room was clean, spacious and had a good shower. The fridge was also useful and appreciated. There was no kettle to make drinks but other people have taken travel kettles so would recommend this if you like to take tea or coffee in your room.
We had to pay cash at the bar or put drinks on our rooms. Another hotel we stayed at earlier this year took card payments which was better for us although I appreciate there may be a cost in doing this. The drinks choice was quite limited so we tended not to drink much at the hotel but to go out instead. Buffet breakfast was included with our room and was a good choice of items. The lunch menu was very good and great quality and value.
The pool is good although there are some rough edges on the pool and it looks as though some of the paint is peeling away. No doubt this will be addressed over winter. The sunbeds were comfortable but looked a bit stained from the sun cream. This can’t be helped but makes it look a bit grubby. I am not sure of the solution for this!
The only other gripe was that the gardener decided to mow the grass and strim the edges which caused a lot of debris to fly off onto sunbathing guests. It would be better to do this in the evening when everyone has gone to get ready to go out. The gardens and plants were lovely though.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday together but I was disappointed at the lack of interaction from the owner as he was there every day, mostly talking loudly on his phone. I appreciate that he may be fatigued after a busy summer but we felt disappointed that he chose not to interact with us or to even say goodbye when we left, or to thank us for returning. Perhaps, there was something else ongoing. We are unlikely to stay here again and will try one of the other hotels next time if we can. Other guests have had different experiences so perhaps it was just us! He seemed to interact with a select few but his staff were all lovely and his wife was also friendly.
Skala Kallonis is a lovely, relaxing, friendly village which I would definitely recommend to visit. There is a good selection of tavernas and bars which are great value. Many close for the winter at the end of September and some had already closed when we visited but there was still a good choice.

My husband and I left in July 2024, and the hotel does not live up to the 3 stars it has.
In our hotel room one could not close the door to the toilet, the water in the toilet ran constantly and noisy, and there was a wheat bar on our terrace so we could not use it. We told the hotel manager, who got a very cute cleaning lady to go out and spray something on the wheats (gift?). It worked for about half a day, and then the wheats were back.
They sprayed the wheat bead again and spatled it so that the wheats could not get in or out.
It just ended up with the waves digging through the wall and coming directly into our room instead!!! There ended up being 40+ wheps in our room!
The very cute cleaning lady came back and sprayed with some poison(?) INSIDE.
My husband and I fortunately got another room we could stay in, but it was reserved for other guests the next day. There were no other rooms available at the hotel, and our old hotel room stinked from the poison they had sprayed with, and there was ALWAYS wheezing through the hole.

We ended up having to get over to a completely different hotel.
We wish we had chosen the new hotel from the beginning.

Breakfast was also not something to shout hurra for. It was the same every morning and there was little difference to choose from.

The only positive thing about the hotel was their pool area, when you were lucky enough to get a seat.
There were not many sunbeds and those that were were "reserved" by the other guests with their towels, even though they weren't even lying by the pool.

It wasn't the holiday we expected! Exercise.

3 of us stayed at end of July and start of August. Hotel was great and only a 5-10 min walk on an evening into the small town where there were plenty of friendly greek restaurants to choose from.
Pool is lovely, but not much of a shallow end for little ones. Apart from that, everything was great. Manager (Bill) was friendly and helpful when we had any queries. Pool bar offered great service for drinks every day and the whole complex was well run, very clean and well cared for. We had no problem getting Sun loungers in h the morning and it was lovely having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the pool.
For somewhere to come to relax and recharge, it is perfect. If you are looking for an action packed resort then this one is probably not for you, but it is exactly as imaging and we will be leaving as satisfied guests. We have just booked tickets for the hotel BBQ which is on Tuesdays as we have heard good reports about this too:)

The pool is great, good size, clean and deep (not really suitable for kids)
The rooms are comfortable
The breakfast was good (although this included the previous evenings' leftovers)
HOWEVER
If you book half board, you only have one choice! (even being a vegerarian). On our first night, the owner/manager offered to scrape off the beef from the moussaka! The food was cheap and very stodgy, usually a small quantity of mince and pasta. I enjoyed a couple of veggie meals, but otherwise offered a very basic omelette. No veggie meal at all for me on the weekly barbecue night! Meals became something we dreaded.....If doing evening food is too inconvenient, I would suggest to the owner that he simply stops offering it!
There are so many good restaurants at the resort that I would urge NOT to go half board.
Bill, the owner seemed to have 'his favourate guests' and we did not fall into that category, perhaps because we did not spend ebough at the bar....whereas he would spend plenty of time with some of his customers, others like ourselves were not treated with respect.
The rooms were clean, however no toilet rolls on Sunday when the cleaner is off (we had to help ourselves from their store cupboard)
I hope the owners of this otheriwise pleasant hotel view this review constructively, as it intended.

Dear Lacourde2016, I would to thank you for arriving at our hotel. Year 2022 is the first post covid year for Lesvos and for all the touristic business. Businesses do not know what to expect along with all the tour operators. In general, Lesvos has not recovered but has made a restart. This has caused all kinds of deals with the tour operators couldn't predict how any service should be held. The safest way was a set menu with one option as a starter, salad bar, one main dish, and dessert. The time when huge buffets or options have not arrived yet, unfortunately. For this, I need to apologize since the half-board service did not meet your expectations. Also, the volume of the hotel in half board service was 4-6 people and this has not helped guests to be in a full hotel restaurant and the hotel to exaggerate apart from breakfast. We do not serve leftovers from dinners. Leftover food is what you have on your plate and that is thrown to the pets. When we have the sfoggato or a spinach pie which are dishes that can be preserved in a fridge under all the safety and hygiene regulations, this can be served one more time. Don't you put your food from the pan in the fridge at your house to have it the next day or evening? Anyway, I understand your frustration about the half board service, and next year since the hotel has some guaranteed deals for half board, this service will improve rapidly. As for my relations with guests, this is a two ways relationship. It has nothing to do with drinking in the bar or dining in the restaurant of our hotel. There are of course friends that arrive at the hotel for the last 30 years. We have grown up together and along with new guests we have a great time. Indeed the resort has very good restaurants. On Sundays, we don't do rooms like many hotels in the world. A missing toilet paper is always available at the reception when is requested. Thank you for visiting our hotel. Vasilis (Bill) Vogiatzis

Nice hotel with lovely pool. Bar-pool. Very friendly staff. Room okay with perfectly okay beds and pillows. We got good rooms on the lower ground floor which made it reasonably cool and shady in the afternoon and evening. A big plus that ac was included in the room.
Missing kettle and some smaller glasses.
The center down by the water takes about 10 minutes to walk but affordable.

Although we didn’t stay at this hotel we spent many hours here. The hotel staff and surroundings were excellent
The GM Vas (Bill) and his wife were so welcoming, always with a smile and a story to tell and drink to serve without any pressure
The main BBQ wasn’t taking place but Vassily made sure that one night he did some pork chops on the BBQ that were just sublime ! The €15 bill for a 3 course is such good value for money, the salad bar is worth the money alone !
When we return to Lesbos we will not hesitate to make sure we stay at the hotel as we will have no doubt we will be well looked after! Thank you Pasiphae for rescuing our week stay and we hope the conference has gone well this week ! See you on our return Yassos 🇬🇷

We were recommended this hotel by our our local travel agent who had personally stayed here. She said it was basic but well situated for the local restaurants and bars, another feature she mentioned was the friendly owner.
The rooms are basic but she forgot to mention how tired and rundown they are along with the grotty shower and old grey towels that could do with replacing.
The owner on arrival must have got out of the wrong side of bed that day because there was no happy chappie to greet us, just a perfunctory greeting, handed a key to the room and told what time breakfast was.
During the week he must of kept getting out of the same side of his bed as his mood didn’t improve and he barely acknowledged us when we were around the pool. We thought it must of been us but after talking to other guests we realised that others were experiencing the same treatment. Strangely he did have some regular guests that he would talk to.
The pool is a lovely size with a good amount of beds available, the only negative to the pool was that it had a sharp edge to it where it been rendered.
Breakfast was ok but I can’t say what lunch or dinner was like as we couldn’t find any information on what was on offer so we ate in the excellent tavernas in the village
Good points are excellent location, good pool, air conditioning
Bad points are rundown rooms, bathroom, no communication on lunch or dinner and a poor attitude from the owner and his wife.
All in all we had a lovely holiday despite the strange atmosphere generated by the host

Dear 737mikkis, I need to answer your comments and mention the below: In the room on the mirror there is a sticker with a QR CODE where you can scan and obtain any kind of information in four languages and the menus of the hotel. At the reception, there is also another person to whom you may make any questions to obtain information At the restaurant, there is a waiter with an assistant to whom you may make any questions to obtain information and ask for the menu. At the pool bar, there are two people, one working from 11:00 to 17:00 and one from 16:00 to 24:00 to whom you may make questions and obtain the menu of the bar. But I forgot, you need the manager to give you all the information that you need. Well, I am sorry that I was not available although I have taken only two days off this year and I am present at the hotel from 07:00-15:00 & 18:00-24:00 As for the rest, yes we have sealed the drawers in the wardrobe and as for the rest, I will examine those facts if they are true to correct them. Yes, we do have regular guests and they are 70% of our business and considered to be our second family which obviously you can't be a member of it. kind regards Bill Manager Of HOtel Pasiphae PS Our answer is the same as we strongly assume that you have done another comment as 737mikkis...

I have struggled with this review as we visited in2022 and had an extremely good experience. This year I chose to return as it was my 50th birthday. Prior to arrival my husband emailed the hotel directly to inform them and also on arrival I told bill as he checked us in that we were here 2 years ago and it was my 50th birthday. Bill did not acknowledge this at all and for the 10 days we were there myself and my husband tried to engage with him on a daily basis but got very little in return. The Greek barbeque had nice food cooked well however only good value if you eat lots as all you can eat. The atmosphere for the Greek night was ok but not inclusive enough, was hijacked by a large greek group who took over the dance floor and did not include or encourage guests. The bar prices seemed high compared to village restaurants, 5 euros for a granita (slushy) 11 for a g&t!. Pool good but deep no real shallow end for little ones but did not apply to us, inflatables allowed, plenty of noodles provided and life guard on duty. Very clean and plenty of sunbeds available, no need to reserve early. big shout out for the ladies, bar, breakfast and housekeeping you are all amazing xx. The village is lovely, very traditional and laid back, restaurants are great, reasonably priced and excellent service, and a few cocktail bars. Excellent ice cream parlour too. Beach not great here, and reed in sea, but visit anaxos for good beach and swim, 25 euros in a taxi each way, from there you can get a land train to Petra and molyvos.

Dear hebdonann, I want to thank you that overall you found the hotel at your expectations with very good service and smiling personnel. As for the prices of a hotel bar. First, I would like to define that when a guest gets a glass of Gin and a can of Tonic to mix then this is charged as two items and it costs 10.00 euros. It cannot be 11.00 euros as the pda (computer) where all orders are registered calculates the order and gives automatically the total price. So, probably I suspect that you were served apart from a Gin and a tonic a bottle of water? Secondly, a hotel bar can serve a limited number of guests, 40-60 people. Two barmen work for it and get the same salary as a waiter who works in a cafe and serves 200 guests all day. The profit margin is much smaller and a hotel will keep up the facility for reasons of service as no hotel can exist or operate without facilities and personnel. As for the birthday, I have sent you an email, and I think you understand why we did not organize your birthday party. I am looking forward to hearing from you about this. Thank you for your visit, and I am looking forward to meeting again. kind regards Vasilis (Bill) Vogiatzis Manager Of HOtel Pasiphae
