Firstly, to read that review you need to know some things: we are a very adventurous Brazilian couple that before this staying we drove almost until the end of Transpantaneira Park and had a more wild experience. So, considering all that, the hotel is good if you don't have much time to drive more in Transpantaneira Park but have in...

We spent one night and one full day at Pousada Piuval Lodge as we were departing the Pantanal region. It was the only Pousada we encountered where they charged you for drinking water. All the others had a place where you could fill your water bottle as often as you needed. It was also the largest Pousada we stayed at...

I stayed here as part of a custom tour with my awesome guide Fisher Sousa. This is a good lodge for wildlife but certainly attracts more families because it's location is not so deep into the Pantanal. It is less secluded than some of the other lodges & has a pool, games area & even play equipment. But don't think...

ON my way back from Pantanal to Cuiaba, stayed in this place for 2 nights. It's an amazing place to relax with Birding and walking trails around the resort itself. I got chane to click Hyacinth Macaw, Crab eating fox, Giant Ant Eater, Capybaras, Marmoset monkeys, Small Ant Eat eater and many more birds too. Resort is amazing, food is...

We spent two nights at the Pousada Piuval Lodge at the end of our two week photographic tour of the Pantanal. This was the most “luxurious” of the four lodges that we stayed at during our trip. It has a modern reception area with a friendly check in staff, a spacious restaurant serving buffet style meals with plenty of choices...

Our first impressions were not great. We really did not expect to see a coach load of school children at the lodge and the accommodation we were given was very 'tired'. We did notice a new block of rooms which presumably would be of a higher standard. Having said that ,our room was spacious, spotless, had a fridge and safe...

During our visit to Brazil we stayed 3 nights in the Pantanal at the Pousada Piuval. We stayed in the new rooms. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds, good airco and bathroom. Food served was also of good quality. Our excellent guide (Roberto) spoke good English and took us on several trips into the Pantanal ( hiking, safari by car,...

Had a night here during our family Pantanal trip and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms had all we needed, were nice and clean, the food was excellent and the staff were great and friendly. Had a night safari to that was fun and our boys enjoyed the pool. Would stay here again.

Excellent place for independent birders. We do most of our birding and exploring on our own and this was the perfect place for us to do that. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and even though this is a working cattle ranch, there were no “bug issues” to worry about. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The birding...
