We had a vacation for 5 days at the hotel, we enjoyed the best view in the island, the staff is very helpful and nice, the room was comfurtable and beautiful. breakfast is good, highly recommended!!!!!
I have booked directly via their websites for three days and immediately my credit card was debited for €1,578 and again before my arrival my credit card again was debited €1,578. Sent them email asked for explanations & refunds but no answer eversince.
We chose the Suites of the Gods after seeing the stunning pictures online...the view did not disappoint! The rooms are well equipped and the service is very good. The staff are super friendly and will go above and beyond.
Quite a bit our of the way but an amazing hotel! Great views, great cocktails, nice food and staff are great. Have to say that ‘Mr Easy’ makes this hotel. Nothing is to much trouble and he’s always around to wait on you so you don’t have to move! We had a junior suite (101) and the room was beautiful with incredible views. The only gripe was there was only 1 CD playing music all day and even for breakfast but was told that some more was arriving. Trips to Oia and Thira are an absolute must and the beach bar that’s part of the hotel is great and we’ll worth a visit
Peaceful and quiet place with amazing view and probably the largest and most comfortable rooms in Santorini. You should definitely try to chill at the pool All day especially during sunset time with a cocktail! For sure that’s my place to stay and spend the most of my much needed vacations!
This place is amazing. The staff is really professional and everybody’s happy. We stayed in a suite under the pool area and it was fairytale! The view from the room was breathtaking. The room was clean and kinda quiet. At the main pool there is a lot of people but we enjoyed that , there was life again! Food and cocktails really good quality! We’re gonna visit again! It was so beautiful staying there! ❤️
So I have just returned from Suites of the Gods and was surprised at some of the negative reviews. I feel people have been a little harsh and expectations a little high maybe. Firstly 5 star in Greece is perhaps not the same as a 5 star in the UK or America. Okay the rooms are a little tired and could do with a freshen and some colourful bedding but times have been hard. I'm sure the hotel will invest some money in updating their rooms when they made some post covid! The views are amazing!! To have breakfast or spend time around the pool with those amazing views are worth 5 stars for me. A room is just that....just a bedroom to go to sleep not the most important thing in a holiday. Sure, I've had better but I've never had better views. Pool area was lovely and immaculate and beds around the pool fantastic!! Staff can make or break a holiday! Staff here make it. Receptionists were friendly and helpful. Young gentleman serving breakfast was wonderful and hardworking and could not be more helpful. Of course the lovely Eva needs a mention. She was a wonderful Ray of sunshine working in bar and restaurant. Even the gentleman working around pool and carrying cases was helpful and cheerful and hard working!! Breakfast was mentioned in previous reviews. Breakfast was continental and perhaps not to some British and American taste. However there was nothing wrong with the breakfast but as it catered to Europeans not to everyone's palate. But with fruit and bread, cereals, croissants and lots lots more surely other holiday makers could have found something to their taste rather than moaning. It's not Benidorm with a British cooked bacon breakfast so dont expect that. Its Santorini trying to cater to several nationalities in one hotel. Not every nationality is going to love the breakfast! We found something to eat every morning and ate to our full. We would return for the staff alone and views I appreciate people may have been disappointed but its very hard in this climate for hotels to tick every box. The rooms were fine, just not 5 star although i believe some have been updated and newly decorated thet just have not got around to all. Location...had a bus stop right outside hotel so can't quite understand fuss from other reviews about not being able to walk! Do your research before booking. Roads are too busy to go walking miles with poor footpaths...its not the uk. However buses were cheap, accessible and took you to beach or bustling iconic hilltop towns. We accessed bus every day with no problem. I can understand reviews about accessibility. Some rooms may be unsuitable for those with mobility problem or ageing. I'm not sure if Hotel points this out on their website but maybe this is something they could address. All in all we thought it was a wonderful hotel and holiday and much more useful to concentrate on the 10 positives rather than one or 2 negatives or disappointments. If we can afford it in the future we would definitely return as views are incomparable and the staff enhance the holiday. Well done Suites of God in challenging times. Wishing you and your staff all the best!…
Terrible structure on top of the busiest port on the island. You can smell the pollution and hear the noise from the boats below. We had so many problems since we arrived and the receptionist and the manager didn't care at all. Actually, the manager was smiling at me when I complain about the room. They assigned us a room of a lower category than the one we booked (without telling us). The room we booked was for three adults and they give us an extra bunk bed for kids. Breakfast was average. The hot water does not exist. We stayed in Santorini for two weeks. I do recommend you go try different hotels. There are so many good structures around the island. When we arrive they didn't tell us they didn't have availability for the room we booked and they say they couldn't change the room for overbooking and if we wanted a different room we had to pay extra, even if it was not our fault. My mum is asthmatic and she couldn't breathe as the room they give us was the lowest one close to the port, furthermore was impossible for one of us to sleep in a bunk bed as we are three adults. We wanted to leave the structure and the manager with an ironic and very unpolite smile said to me that we couldn't have any refund. So we had to stay only one night as it was too late to find another accommodation and we left the day after. I called booking and explain the situation, they called the hotel and only after that did they offer a different room for the same price. Too late we had already booked a different and better structure for half of the price. So disappointed with the treatment we receive and the structure itself! Terrible!…
Just about to leave after a week of R&R with my Wife We hired an ATV which is a must and great fun…. Stayed in one of the VIP rooms (which had a Jacuzzi ) It was spacious and accommodating if not a little tired and due an update, having said that more than adequate for our needs No real moans about the Hotel ..apart from things like not being able to charge to your room..hey ho.. The plus side …Fabulous Views from the pool/bar area across to see Fira, Oia and the Famous Caldera. Staff are very helpful ..especially Illias who never stopped working and of course Eva.. not forgetting Habib… All in all a wonderful Hotel with stunning views and very much enjoyed our stay Thank you Suites of The Gods. … May see you again!! GW.
Pro’s - Wifi, quick and available all spring the hotel/pool/bar Free shuttle to airport, Luxury minibus The amazing sunset Cons- I genuinely don’t know where to start on this subject, this hotel is NOT 5 star….a 3 at the very most! Do not believe any of the photos online at all as they are very wrong. Reading the few good reviews on here I’m thinking “was I at the same hotel” or have you never travelled and experienced 5 star hotels. A member of staff said they are tired and fed up of having to tell new arrivals that she is sorry their room Is not what they expected. For £200 a night you just cannot justify it I’m afraid Rooms- The room I chose and booked 3 days before arrival was double booked (yet it was still showing bookable on their website on the day) New room much bigger but awful awful sewer smell which we role was from the caldera cave, beach was lit down and it was just horrendous we had to have all windows and doors open to stop feeling ill. Rooms very dated, bedding like something from the 80’s at your grandmas house. We heard a lot of people complaining about the rooms and saying it’s not what they had booked. We had bare wires hanging out the wall above the bath, the gross door wouldn’t open properly, the telephone didn’t work, no iron or ironing board in room, curtains don’t fit Pool area has a good vibe but day beds are worn and torn. Pool water looked murky, are around pool and steps all in need of a lot of TLC. The lovely man works so hard but long days Breakfast-holy moly for a supposedly 5 star hotel it was extremely basic and only just edible. The guy in there couldn’t do enough for us Management if you are reading this and before you delete my review please listen to your guests! You could have something really really spectacular here if you just spent some money cleaning tidying painting and updating, it has the best view and a LOT of potential! Would we come back….hell no! Would we recommend….hell no! But a big shout out to Ava she never stopped smiling the whole stay (unlike some :-( ) and the handy man/Maintenance/bell boy he worked his socks off around that hotel!…
