Grand View is one of the few hotels overlooking the volcano from the caldera cliff with almost no tiresome steps nor downhill or uphill paths to reach the rooms as it is found at the level of a quiet car path. There is private parking right outside the hotel. The Hotel has a large pool with spectacular views of Santorini volcano and the Aegean Sea. We offer a special buffet breakfast every morning with local fresh ingredients and we also operate a pool bar with delicious cocktails during sunset hours!

    The Best Holiday !
We have been staying at Grand View since 2019 and each year we have had a wonderful time. With the new fantastic jacuzzi rooms, it’s even better! This year was a 60th Birthday celebration and Andreas and the team made it so very special, thank you so much. As usual , Breakfast was great, rooms and pool area are always so clean. Staff are very Attentive and Pool Bar food was delicious. It goes without saying that you have the most stunning view of the Culdera and spectacular sunsets. # We Love Grand View. Oh yes…….we can’t wait to be back in October! Mark and Jane.

Excellent experience for a family vacation!
We arrived at the hotel early in a morning of July 2020. We are a family of 4. We were greeted by a very nice guy at the reception and, as our room wasn't ready yet, we enjoyed our breakfast next to the swimming pool with the exquisite view of the Caldera. When we were settled to our room, we were very impressed not only by the view but also the very elegant decoration and the comfortable rooms. The shower was really a visit to a Spa and then we could sit at the veranda and enjoy the sea breeze and the view the view the view. Very clean and very comfortable with very nice staff ready to help our family. For instance when one night we arrived very late and needed something to eat, although the hotel kitchen had closed, they helped us order souvlaki from a nearby place. In addition to all the amenities and the view, the hotel is very well located almost at the center of Santorini, It is only 15 minutes away by car from most of the best beaches of the island, only 12-13 minutes away from the wonderful beaches of Kamari, Perivolos and Perissa. Akrotiri, with the ancient volcanic ruins, is about 15 minutes away too and Fyra, to the north, the same. A mini market is 2 minutes away and the nearby village of Megalohori has a plethora of picturesque taverns to choose from. Wifi was also very fast which is a treasure for all families:). One final point that we took into account is its parking lot: easy parking next to our room was very convenient during our stay. So we most highly recommend this hotel. Many thanks to Alexis, the owner, and all of his staff for an excellent, unforgettable stay at Santorini island!
We cannot thank you more for this wonderful review!!! We are all so happy to know that we made your stay in Santorini!!! We look forward to seeing you again back at Grand View and provide you the best possible service and hospitality!!!! Best wishes

    Piece of paradise!
Probably the best view on Santorini. If you want to see from your room window exactly the same picture, as they usually print on Santorini postcards – you have to spend a night there. This hotel has the best view in Santorini overlooking the caldera with spectacular sunsets. We stayed in the private infinity pool villa which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, which makes it exquisite for 2 couples or families. It is totally private (something really rare in Santorini), and it has a view to die for. The staff here is top-notch! The nicest group of people I have met in a while, who really seem to enjoy making the stay and experience the best, especially Andreas who was helpful, friendly and passionate. Housekeeping is doing great job as well. The location of the hotel is perfect, on the edge of caldera, and in a quiet picturesque location, but just a few mins driving from black sand beach perivolos and Akrotiri. We stayed only 2 nights.... wished it was a longer stay.. So, do yourself a treat and STAY at Grand View Hotel!!
Thanks so much for posting these kind words of praise. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the Grand View experience. Our team tries to surpass all expectations so it is greatly pleasing to hear that you left us with unforgettable memories. Looking forward to welcoming you back in the future, until then take care and warm wishes!

We had an amazing stay at Grand view hotel! There’s so many reasons that make this hotel amazing! First, the view. You just can’t beat this view. It’s just pure tranquillity. Second, breakfast that they provide in the morning, something different every day and it’s always fresh. Lastly and the most important one, the SERVICE! Everyone that works in this hotel is amazing, helpful, kind! From front office staffs Cris, Sofia, to everyone that works in this hotel, thank you for making our trip very enjoyable! I will miss this hotel and will be staying again here when we come back!

We stayed here for 6 days for our wedding which included bride, groom and our family members and it was honestly the best experience ever! I want to provide a detailed review of each area as I couldn’t fault any of it! Airport pick-up : we were greeted by our taxi driver that we had in 2022 and he instantly remembered us. He found out our room on the way to the hotel for us and made sure our suitcase was delivered to that room within minutes. Upon arrival, we asked to be moved to a room that was next door to my maid of honour for ease on the wedding day and our suitcases were immediately transferred to the other room without any issues or complaints (bare in mind we had 3 big suitcases). Guest arrival: we were asked if we’d like a water or any refreshments which was lovely after a long journey. We were told about all the rooms that had been booked and we manage to allocate rooms according to what worked best for our guests. I had been messaging Chrisoula about this in advance and upon start of her working hours, I got a call to our room to ask if she could greet and welcome us which was amazing!! Rooms: the rooms were amazing! We had a bigger room with an upstairs which was quite hot but they managed to get us a fan in 30 minutes. No request was too big! The cleaners were amazing at helping and tidying our room as we had wedding decor everywhere but they did it in a way where nothing was misplaced. Upon leaving we had lots of rubbish which we tried to leave in a corner and again the cleaner was just very polite and helpful!! Pool and pool bar: again amazing! We had some guests who come to our bar for lunch and drinks. Given Santorini mostly has bootique small hotels, I thought this would be difficult but communication from bar staff was amazing and they’d always manage expectations around ETA of lunch orders. Pool was amazing and I was worried we’d struggle for sun beds but again this was fine and our guests loved the pool. Breakfast: breakfast was lovely. There were options of yoghurt, muesli, cereal, honey, toast, cakes, cold meats, toasts, fresh juice, sometimes smoothies etc. On our wedding day, we requested to take breakfast up to the room and this was no problem at all! Wedding day: Chrisoula was amazing! She helped with taxis to venue even though it was just 5 minutes away! She organised lunch orders to my room to make sure I ate before the wedding started! She also helped with taxis for guests that weren’t even staying at the hotel! I’m sure I’m missing lots but I honestly cannot thank the staff enough. Everyone was simply amazing and made our wedding the best possible experience ever! I’ll miss everyone and will definitely be back!

You can stop looking for hotels. Grand View is the one you want. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and we both agree this is the best place we've ever stayed. The views are incomparable, the staff is incredibly kind and helpful, the food is excellent, and the service is top notch. Each night we stayed in Santorini we specifically ate early dinners so we could get back to our private balcony and jacuzzi to watch the sunset. You can't beat it. Special thank you to the hotel manager Chrisoula who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was even better than our expectations. Her suggestions on places to visit and recommendations for restaurants were perfect. Cannot say enough good things about our time here. We cannot wait to come back.

It was our first visit to Santorini and we wanted to stay at the best ever hotel: an elegant, modern Cycladic-style hotel perched on the cliff with a panoramic view of the volcano and with the breakfast included. We found many hotels of this type in the city of Fira or in Oia, but at very, very high prices. The Grand View Hotel was the best option for us in terms of quality - price and we were very satisfied with the choice we made. We were accommodated in room no. 3, located on the first floor of the main building. The breakfast was served in the pool area with an amazing view of the sea and the volcano. Make sure you have high quality cameras or phones with you with enough room for photos because this hotel offers the most beautiful sunsets in the sea and not only ... we took pictures with the full moon and with the fireworks , with cute local kitties and with our breakfast. The hotel staff was very kind to us and helped us with any request we had. The room was properly cleaned every day. Do not bring shampoo, soap, shower gel or hair conditioner with you, the hotel offers them all in large quantities and at a very good quality. The pool area is modern, with very comfortable sunbeds and a bar opened from morning until late at night. The water from the pool is super clean and not cold. Large pool towels are available near the pool shower. The Grand View Hotel is a clean, quiet, relaxing hotel, it looks a bit isolated on the map, but you can find public transportation just a 5-minute walk away in either direction. The busses KTEL are departing from Fira town to Perissa beach or Akrotiri beach and returning on the same route every 20 minutes. The bus ticket costs only 1.60 euros per person. From Akrotiri beach you can take a boat to visit the famous Red, White and Black beaches, just make sure is not a windy day for these areas. You may return to the Grand View hotel from the same place where the buss dropped you. At Perissa you will find a large, organized beach and from there you can take the taxi boat to Kamari beach. From Kamari you can return to the Grand View hotel by KTEL buses. We visited a lot of places and almost every night we ended up in Fira town, because that's where all the fun is: lots of shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs. The restaurants on the main road at the top overlooking the sea are more expensive, there is a parallel street located a little bit lower with many delicious and economical fast foods. We didn't rent a car, so at night, after the fun in the club, we paid 15 euros for a taxi to bring us from Fira to the Grand View hotel. Renting a car or motorbike is also a good idea as there are many locations where buses do not run at all. Ask the receptionist to help you with the rental. We had a very nice holiday and already miss Santorini and the Grand View Hotel. We can't wait for next summer to come..

Impeccable service! One of the best couple of nights of my life! The view is like no other and the whole vibe of the hotel is peaceful and relaxing! Furthermore, everything you'll need is already provided to you in your room including tour guides and maps of the island, leaving no room for concerns. Staff is always available for any questions and requests and this makes your stay all the more relaxing and care free! The pool and private jacuzzis are always clean as staff can be seen cleaning them almost everyday. I totally recommend this to anyone looking for a place to relax and recharge while also connecting with friends and family!

Sitting by this pool, with an amazing cocktail from the pool bar, you can only smile and relax. Easily our favorite place that we stayed during our entire trip in Greece. This place was just heavenly. The views (obviously) are perfect, and we loved that it was a smaller hotel on its own property, in a quiet spot with easy access to everywhere on the island. The staff are amazing - so kind and helpful - it felt like we were staying with old friends. All of their recommendations were excellent, and we were so grateful for how easily we could arrange transfers and a rental car for one day. Chris and her front desk staff are the best! And, the property is pristine. We were in a two bedroom family room right next to the pool. It was incredibly quiet, so don't worry about pool noise or noise from other rooms. The rooms by the pool are so convenient, and the balcony is a nice additional space for you to sit and read a book while other family members nap on the inside! We ventured out quite a bit from here, and were so happy to come back to Megalochori and be out of the chaos in the Fira and Oia areas. Megalochori itself is so charming, and our favorite night was the night we walked over to Raki for dinner, and explored the side streets of town. We would absolutely stay here again if we are able to get back to Santorini. Highly recommend this side of the island - check out the black beach, red beach, and Vlychada if you can!

This is the best bang for your buck on the whole island. Absolutely amazing view and stunning sunsets. See all those beautiful pictures people posted? They're for real. No filters. That's just how it looks every night. No crowds. Great food. Friendly staff. Megalochori is quaint but has everything you need, even an ice cream shop. Also go to The Family Bakery down the street for great desserts. Fira and Oia are beautiful but crowded and have a certain "Look at me taking a selfie" feel to them. We were happy to come back to our quiet little corner. We also recommend going to Symposion in town for one of their music and culture shows or just to have a drink in their beautiful courtyard.

The team at Grand View is exceptional. I haven’t experienced service like this in years. This hotel is immaculate with the best views and gorgeous pool. The breakfasts were delicious, the concierge was helpful, the wait staff was friendly - everything you want and more! We had an early flight, so they prepared sandwiches and fruit for us to take since breakfast wouldn’t be available. If you want an amazing experience with a small town feel (Megalochori is so quiet compared to the very tourist towns like Oia, but still has all conveniences), stay here!
