First negative, on arrival at about 11pm, our room had a double bed rather than the two singles I had booked. The receptionist seemed quite put out about our request for this to be rectified and said she had waited for our arrival an hour past her shift, despite the fact we were on time. This did see to colour her attitude to us.
The bed got converted into two singles the next day by the helpful cleaners after the older lady on reception told the receptionist it could be done.
Anyway, had a lovely room which was one of the newly renovated ones. It was very clean and modern whilst the rest of the hotel still had that wonderful authentic Greek style.
It is quite isolated though and the nearest decent beach is a 15 walk away (turn right as you leave) opposite a hotel complex and we used their beach sun beds for free and bought lunch and drinks.
We used the hotel mini bus to go into Molyvos to use the beach there a few times, not great beaches (take your water shoes for most of the beaches) and we got a taxi to the beach at Anoxos and the little train back. Caught the 10.10 minibus to Molyvos and the 2.30 one back otherwise it’s 7.30 return which just doesn’t work. A taxi is 8 euro.
We went into Molyvos for 6/7 evenings and had wonderful meals there at a different taverna every time.
Molyvos is just wonderful, unspoilt, uncommercialised, Greece as you want it if you love Greece.
We only ate one evening meal at the hotel and it was awful, poor communication about no rice left and then cold roast vegetables which were not actually roasted, was a stew with indistinguishable veggies. On telling the waiter the food was cold he commendably got it heated but it tasted awful. Another waitress asked how our meal was and so I told her, this prompted the chef to come out who said ‘no one died’. I wasn’t sure if this was his idea of humour, don’t think so, but his attitude was poor. Had a great Greek salad there one lunchtime and breakfast
was ok, plentiful.

We stayed at Panselinos, which was great for us. Simple, spacious, comfy beds, clean apartment which cleaned everyday. Pool area was great and spotless with plenty of sun beds available. Continental breakfast fresh and plentiful. The bbq on offer by the resort on a Sunday was really delicious and good value. The staff were friendly and always ready to help wit a mini bus service into Molivos.
We also ate out at Sea horse, Gatos, octopus and captains Table, as well
as a beach bar in Petra. No complaints at any of the restaurants, all really really good.
Really enjoyed sea horse (staff friendliest and
Welcoming here- shout out to Christos👍) food great too.
Meze at Captain’s table are not to be missed, absolutely delicious- a must visit before they sadly close.
Views of sunset from Gatos are incredible, whilst again enjoying lovely home cooked Greek food (honey baked feta, particularly yum!).
Our favourite bar was Congas. Such a chilled, holiday beach bar, with amazing cocktails, music and games that the kids loved to play with us.
Kids also loved the train ride from Molyvos to Petra and also enjoyed the snorkelling boat trip.
Our youngest is 5, but was still able
to enjoy the swimming in the sea with us all, during boat trip, as life jackets were provided on request.
All in all a great week and we’d love to return in the future ❤️🇬🇷
We decided to sneak an extra week away after being home from our annual visit to Molyvos and thought “why not?’
Soma last minute booking we got the last 2 seats on the plane. Me half way down and the better half at the front! It was interesting to go at a different time than normal and put faces to many names of folk who comment on the Facebook groups.
Last drop off by the coach but we were met and shown to our room by a very professional and polite young lady (alas, I can’t recall her name) a quick unpack and straight to the bar where the staff greeted us like old friends. Lovely.
Talking of old friends it was hilarious to see people who assumed we’d left not to return until 2024!
The pool is massive and we always got sun beds. Breakfast was worth getting up for. A minibus ran to the village each night - once as we were the only passengers the driver went and got his own car “faster and easier”
Our room was great. Plenty of space and was cleaned every day.
A few times we got back late to the hotel to find the bar still open…win, win!
We’d highly recommend the Panselinos and wouldn’t hesitate in going back.

Quiet place not surrounded by other hotels, great bus service from hotel to Molyvos the local town. Rooms are basic but cleaned daily. Mattresses very comfy. Will definately return.

Room had lots of space ,air conditioning ,comfy beds and we had a great view so what more can you ask for .Was it ultra modern ..no but its Grece and for what we paid was perfect.Lovely pool area nice and clean and good beds.
Breakfast had a good continental choice plus eggs and omg the greek yogurt was lush.
Food during day and night was not expensive and was really good bar service excellant.
Bus to Molyvos and back was quick and handy but if your down there later than last bus at 10.30pm dont worry only 5 euro in a cab back .
Walked to Eftalou hot springs and beach around 15mins ,the hot springs are very hot ! Lovely bar just passed the springs via the rocky beach .
Loved Molyvos sooo much try the grand bleu or octopus restaurant in the harbour for amazing food and great views and Gatto in Molyvos town and in Petra try yako beach bar or mermaid restaurant just 5mins further on this island is so special ,prices are cheaper than on other greek islands.Such a greak vibe and the people are wonderful.
Try it and you will love it.

Toenails from the previous guest. Orc! As well as a bathtub with a dirt edge from last autumn.
The chef prepared good food, especially the fish. The staff are nice but nothing happens.. just a big smile.
Noise as they renovate in the middle of the day.
The beach is not 200 meters as Ving writes but further away.. 1 km is a nice hotel with sunbeds.
No Ving's description of the hotel is false marketing.

As others have said, if you want luxury then this isn't your hotel but if you want value for money, good service and a stress free holiday then this is a great option.
Our apartment was spacious with plenty of room for all of us and very comfy beds as well as a nice balcony.
The salt water pool is large and there are plenty of sunbeds. The bar area is nice and the drinks and food are reasonably priced. We found the staff very friendly and keen to resolve any minor issues quickly and efficiently. The breakfasts were continental with plenty of options and fresh. The Greek yogurt was particularly delicious.
The complimentary mini bus service into Molyvos was excellent and we made use of it most nights to visit this beautiful resort where there was a superb choice of restaurants, tavernas and shops.
All in all, The Pamselinos Hotel was a great find and we thoroughly enjoyed out time there.
"Take your beach shoes. It’s a little isolated. Factor in taxi fares as the mini bus times don’t always work."Read full review
