With had a room with private pool which was lovely. The room was a good size and had a lounge area which was also spacious, as was the patio. The staff were all delightful and always extremely helpful and did try to resolve issues when we pointed them out. Breakfast is a buffet and there was a huge choice which they kept well stocked and refilled quite quickly. The communal pool is lovely but seemed to hardly be used which was great for me. I also had a treatment at the spa which was expensive but very good. The beach is perfect with plenty of comfy beds, shade, and calm seas – it’s the best bit in the hotel. So why 4 and not 5 out of 5? I don’t expect to find black mold in the shower of a hotel of this standard. They cleaned it away but it should never have been there. Scuffed paintwork. Some instances of style over practicality – not enough places to hang towels where the hand basins are. Nowhere to dry wet beach towels. Light bulbs not working. Housekeeping or senior staff really need to regularly inspect for things like that. Would we stay there again? We would because of the location and beach, and because Patmos is charming.

We loved the hotel - we had a fabulous room with a private plunge pool but spent a lot of time at the beach, where as soon as you arrived a member of staff organised a sunbed and ice water. It was the little attention to detail and the great service from the staff that went a long way to making our stay enjoyable, but the Front Office Manager, Manolis Kamilakis, made our stay really memorable. He overheard us talking about our 42nd wedding anniversary which was the day we came, and organised champagne, fruit and a lovely letter to be waiting for us in our room. Food, service and ambiance were first class and I unhesitatingly recommend this hotel.

Amazing experience and they saved us, we had made the tragic decision to book with this other hotel called 9 muses which say they are a 5 star hotel they are not. This hotel is, first of all just the drive in and the reception is a 5 stra resort, you feel like you are on holiday, the smells, the sounds everything. They were nice enough to let us choose between 2 rooms, and we chose the one with the swim up pool, even though the pool was public, hardly anyone went in, so it felt very private. The breakfast was impeccable, even though the service at the breakfast was a bit slow. Lovely shower, great taverns on the beach next door, staff very willing to help you in any way, one even offered to go shop my groceries as he was going that way. We actually extended our stay because of how relaxed we felt. Definitely the only hotel I will be staying in in Patmos

Arrived here for a wedding on June 27th. Took the 3pm ferry from Athena to Pátmos in my room by 11:45pm. Check in at reception was easy kind and understanding traveling from NYC. 8hr ferry to Pátmos worth it! Breakfast starts at 7:30AM. That is huge, fresh fruit daily variety of healthy food. Morning staff friendly the Freddo cappuccino you must have it! Vibe on this Island is amazing felt welcomed and was able to unplug!!! Beach staff made sure we had what we needed, simple quiet peaceful a great place to run, swim or just go for a hike/walk. I would absolute come back to this boutique on the water peaceful and unplug. No loud talking not many Americans which is double bonus 10-15 min walk to Petra Beach gotta go here. Thank you Aktis for your service and hosting the wedding guests. Room#4 was perfection! Only upgrade I would recommend is to open the gym earlier like 7AM for those who workout and a bit more free weights.

Super location, standard of accommodation and quality. We originally planned to stay for four days and we actually stayed eight nights so this is a measure of our satisfaction with this hotel. We love the breakfast and the setting during the eight days we found the breakfast to be consistent and of a really good standard with lots of choice. The overall feel of the hotel is boutique and quiet so may not be for everyone but for us it was perfect. The hotel made us feel really welcome From arrival right through to departure. Reception even called me to tell me that I’d left something in the room. I think this is the first hotel to actually proactively call, so a big thank you and a big plus one for this. We Enjoyed the treats that were left in our room so thank you. Have a great winter

I can't imagine a *better hotel resort* on the island of Patmos. An incredibly immaculate sleek modern resort on the private and pristine Grikos Bay. AND our 2-level suite had a private pool to boot. Here are the highlights of the Aktis (and it might not be what you think): a staff that CARES. For me that is number one. When I was stung by a bee, when I needed to find a quality guide for the holy sites, when I wanted a craft cocktail made just the way I like, when I wanted to simply talk about the island or even humanity at large: IT WAS THE STAFF that came through and rose to the occasion. Such a level of connection. And, my friends: THAT is the sign of a quality hotel. Not even the posh room or beach or restaurant- the wonderful staff makes the experience. I am grateful to have stayed at the Aktis and hope to return. The beach is GREAT. Restaurants lovely. Views made me almost weep in joy!

It is hard to say what it is that makes the Patmos Aktis the ultimate destination for a relaxed holiday. Is it the perfect location by Grikos Bay where there is always boats coming and going, the excellent breakfast, the lounging all day by the beach or the overall very good service? It’s probably a bit of everything combined with the charm of the island, the for such a small island offer of very good restaurants, the sophisticated and relaxed international crowd and the vicinity of everything. Yes, it’s a hassle to get there, but it is totally worth it. Our 10 days stay went by too fast, and without a glitch from the hotel. Great food all over, the beach taverna is probably one of the best on the island, impressively good service everywhere, especially considering post Covid. Only room for improvement would be an upgrade of the gym. Patmos recommendations: - Tsipouradiko, Skala: Very nice and busy seafood restaurant, where one sits in the sand almost with feet in the water. Amazing caramelised octopus on fava. Bring a sweater as it can be windy. Reservation needed in high season. - Vaggelis: On a little square in Chora, excellent Greek food. One of the best restaurants on the island. There is a nice bar opposite. Reservation required. - Benetos: Between Aktis and Skala. Excellent food, nice cocktail bar. They have a restaurant part where reservation is required and a light meal part by the bar where there is always space. - Benetos in Chora: Right by the parking area, great view, nice cafe for breakfast lunch and coffee. - Ktima Petra: Petra Beach, basic looking place, has huge greenhouses and grow everything they serve. Rustic and traditional. Probably the cleanest and best maintained restating Greece! - Daphne’s ice-cream in Skala for ice cream and cakes - Kampos Beach: Sand beach, shallow water, great for kids. Water sports. Atmos Beach club, modern beach club, Mykonos Style, book sun chairs when busy. 40 EUR for a set. - Lampis Beach: Pretty small basic beach with bigger stones. Lampi Fish Tavern for lunch and dinner. Dolphin Lampi for coffee and ice-cream, has sun loungers as well. - Marathi Island: perfect destination for day boat trip, beautiful bay near by for swimming, then go to Pantelis for a delicious seafood lunch.

Patmos and especially Aktis Suites is my go-to place every summer. I love the location, the hotel and everything about it. Service is flawless, people are warm and friendly, rooms are big and spacious. Everyone working there makes you feel like you are a guest in their home. Due to pandemic, I couldn't visit the island for the past 2 years, this year it felt so good to be back, it felt like uniting with the family, a caring family that is ;))
