Detailed Reviews
A great hotel, perfect location, right on the beach. Our room was very spacious, clean and our view from the balcony was breathtaking. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist you with whatever was needed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and all the covid19 regulations were adhered to. The hotel is in a great location and the towns and beaches from Petalidi to Pylos are well worth visiting. We would love to stay here again for sure! Thank you for a great holiday!

Stayed for two weeks in studio 306,Great views across the bay, also fantastic sunrise from balcony. Room was very spacious, air con worked fine, kitchenete facilities were ok,kettle, fridge, also 2 ringed electric hob which we never used, bathroom with shower over bath worked well, always hot water.
we both found the bed to be uncomfortable, maybe would benifit from a matress topper or new matress. room cleaned regularily, sheets and towels also changed regularily.breakfast was great, served at your table, great selection.Beach location also great with beds and parasols provided, quite a rugged beach but scenic ,beach shoes required.Restaurant had a small menu, but also served a dish of the day, which we found to be very tasty, would also benifit from some traditional background music.
overall, very clean hotel with great staff, 15 minute walk to town.

Grekis is a great little hotel, location is fantastic right on the beach with views over the bay towards Kalamata and the mountains.
I’ll do all the pros first
We stayed in a 1st floor studio. Perfectly acceptable, clean and roomy.
Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, selection of eggs, yoghurt, fruit, breads, sweet and savoury options.
Lunch and dinners are good and reasonably priced as is the drink selection.
Beach is shingle and has Hotel has it’s own beds and umbrellas. Water is clean and warm.
Staff are very friendly.
Close to Petalidi and some great restaurants, small supermarkets and shops.
Cons are.
Balcony seats are very uncomfortable.
Noisy fridge.
I would have preferred a breakfast buffet rather than everything coming out on a tray. I find that quite wasteful.
I think the restaurant at lunch and dinner would be better with some soft background music.
Lots of steps to negotiate down to the beach could be a problem if not too mobile.
Beach recliners are a bit uncomfortable, could have done with complimentary padding.
There are no pavements on the road into Petadi.
I would however not hesitate to recommend this Hotel, if what you’re after is peace and quiet in a reasonably price unpretentious Hotel. We had a great week and we would definitely return

Beautiful location. The views from the terrace are stunning. My studio was clean and spacious with a view of the beach. The breakfast was enormous and fed me until the evening. The restaurant served a selection of snacks and evening meals which were delicious and inexpensive. All the staff were lovely and really helpful which was particularly welcome as I was the only English person staying there at the time. The town of Petalidi is small but had everything I needed and there was a market on a Friday which was great fun. The beach at the apartments is small but never seemed overcrowded and there are sun beds and parasols. There are other beaches which you can walk to but I didn't think they were as pretty as the beach at the apartments. My stay there was one of the best holidays I have ever had. I loved the peace and the beauty of the area. I have travelled a lot and I have never returned to places I have visited but my holiday at Grekis was so delightful that I am returning next year.

Absolutely loved this place more so as I'm not a fan of so called luxury hotels, it has a great location with fabulous views across the ocean, is small, intimate and friendly.
The staff are really helpful and good fun and not a trace of pretension.
For me and my wife the perfect holiday spot.
It is a pleasant 15 minute walk to Petalidi which again not a tourist spot ie a real place with ordinary people plus a few good Taverna's and not expensive.
Also with car hire you can visit some of the most outstanding Hellenistic archeological sites in Greece.

Great little gem of a find! Our 1st time to mainland Greece. The hotel was amazing, what you see on the pictures is what you get. Definitely worthy of a higher star rating. Every member of staff from the cleaners to the chef to the restaurant staff to the receptionist to the night security, every single person was beautiful, helpful and not one of them could have done any more for you. We had a medical issue whilst there and the young lady on reception contacted the local pharmacy by telephone and translated conversations for us, she also arranged taxis's etc. Thank you. We also have to give a special shout out to the beautiful young lady who greeted us each morning at Breakfast.... a little ray of sunshine each morning. English is very well spoken by the staff here. Thank you to the night security who saved me from a lizard in our room one night lol. Breakfast was lovely and all cooked items were hot and fresh. We also had lunch here on several occasions.... the Masakas was the best by wife have every tried and we're both foodies. Food portions were large and prices very reasonable, no 2nd mortgage needed to eat here. We will definitely be back.

This was our second stay at this hotel, having been there 25 years previously (under different management). The room was very comfortable with air conditioning that we preferred not to use in order to hear the sea while we slept. The restaurant was very good and we enjoyed many meals there in addition to the complete breakfasts. The sea was clear and usually very calm in the mornings. If I ever return to Greece, this is where I will stay. It’s an easy walk to town for other restaurants and shopping

Took a chance on this place as we normally like to have a pool. We didn’t miss the pool because the beach is so quiet and close and this time of year very warm. This is a very small but luxurious hotel with a strong family feel, thanks to Christianna, Yiannis, Anna and Poopee the dog. All rooms have an excellent view of the sea although the highest rooms probably have the best view. Breakfast is superb and plentiful with omelette or fried eggs, a selection of bread, cheese and ham, yogurt, fruit and an additional dish which changes daily. The clientele is predominantly German (we were the only brits) which didn’t matter to us but might matter to a solo traveler who wants a natter. It is a short walk into Petalidi where the shopping and restaurants are so-so - certainly not as good as most Greek resorts. A perfect place to spend a relaxing time.

Very few positives: large clean room and bathroom, nice view of the sea, close to town.
Too many negatives: room wasn't ready on time and had a very strong smell of bleach when we got in, the mattresses were old, hard and very uncomfortable, there was no air-conditioning in the main bedroom, the bathroom was outdated with an old style bathtub (had to hold shower head), there was no dish soap or towels in the kitchen, lots of mosquitoes and no nets at the door/windows, unkept property grounds, poorly furnished and decorated rooms, limited underground parking that was very difficult to maneuver, and torn beach umbrellas and broken walkway. The staff wasn't very friendly. Overall, this is a 1-star hotel at best and the room isn't worth more than 50-60 euro but it's listed at 120 euro!!

The location of the hotel to major cities was deal for us. We were just 10 min from a major city (Messinia) for shopping. 25 min away from Kalamata and 2.5 hours from Athens. Being able to walk from swimming in the Mediterranean (Messianikos Kulpos) to a breakfast in which they will make anything you request, is priceless.
