We had a wonderful week at the Elivi. The location is perfect, and the accommodation was excellent. However, the main reason this hotel is one of the best we have ever visited is the staff. Everyone was so genuinely friendly, helpful and efficient. Bar staff, customer service desk, restaurant Captain, reception, fitness instructor, and of course George (“the best of the best”). Food was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was incredible. We would however, suggest a few more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu. We were lucky enough to give our comments in person to the Hotel Director, and the Owner. We travelled around Skiathos, and believe the Elivi is by far the best hotel on the island. We thoroughly recommend the property, and wouldn’t stay anywhere else if we return to Skiathos.

I must praise the Alivi Hotel in Skiathos, this was my third time on the island, and the most successful so far, the hotel is spectacular in its beauty, the maintenance of exceptional cleanliness and the service in the hotel is exceptional. All the staff without exception were courteous and nice service, always tried to help us and make our experience the best. Most of all I want to mention the manager Retani, who gave us a personal touch and feeling of VIP guests. I'm sure I'll be back at the hotel again and mostly because of the staff. Highly recommended!!!! Perfect room perfect view Amazing food. Everything you could ask for in a vacation.

Visited in May 2022, hotel had only been open a week. We had booked a room with shared access to a pool, and limited sea view. Found it was shaded a lot of the day, so we asked to upgrade. We paid extra to get a private pool. (Plunge pool) Room was lovely and spacious, however we hadn’t been sat by the pool an hour when it pumped in brown matter. Made the water very cloudy obviously and there was no way we would go in. Complained and they moved us. Thankfully no repeat occurrence! Terrace area was huge, don’t expect big pools, they are small and the size depends on where you were. Beds were comfortable and rooms cleaned well. Part of the resort wasn’t open which was a shame (villa type rooms) as they were a lot more spread out. The food was ok, they grow a lot in the gardens which is nice to see. Access to Kokanaries beachis good and there are bars close by. It’s at the end of the bus route to skiathos town so you’ll always get a seat going! (Coming back is a lottery and buses are often full.)

Ellevi was a fantastic stay for us enjoying the private villas by the ocean and the great staff, we would like to mention the Nest Breakfast team with Georgio, Andreas and Fiona as that special kind of treatment you love to have at a 5 star location.

This was my second time visiting the iconic elivi win the edge of the Skiathos Island. I had a room with one of the best views on the entire property. It felt that way and that's what a lot of the staff mentioned to me. The Staff and service at Elivi is top notch, everyone is so compassionate and they really value the business and they really do their best to make sure each guest has an incredible experience. The bar has amazing mixologist, all the drinks were blended so well and tasted so good! The food was amazing, fresh and cooked so well. It was as if a pandemic never hit. Elivi really has maintained their functionality with all the chaos that has been going on post Covid-19 I most definitely will be back in the near future for a visit! Elivi is privately owned and everyone there makes you feel like you are apart of the family! Elivi puts the "H" in Hospitality!

We had the most wonderful week at the Elivi. We stayed in one of the Premium Suites in the Nest Grove area with a private pool. The suite was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean with a fabulously comfortable super king size bed, fantastic powerful showers and daily change of fluffy bath and beach towels plus coffee machine and two fridges. I felt that the only thing missing was a full length mirror in the bedroom. The terrace was huge and extremely well designed. The Nest area of this large resort hotel has been beautifully landscaped making guests feel at one with nature, surrounded by pine and olive trees and a gorgeous array of flowers. The landscaping of the suites is such that the gardeners and pool maintenance staff can come and go without guests really feeling disturbed. The Nest area felt like a beautiful haven of peace and nature by the sea. We were 3 mins walk from the stunning Big Banana beach (with a sea view from our terrace). We found Big Banana by far the loveliest and most serene of the 4 beaches that can be accessed from the hotel and for which hotel guests have the use of free sunbeds, plus there is a nice (although quite expensive) beach bar with service to your sunbed. We stayed for a week at the end of September and were incredibly lucky with the weather with temperatures in the high 20s and the sea was still lovely and warm to swim in. The breakfast restaurants, like all of the hotel, were beautifully laid out with lovely views although the Nest breakfast restaurant closed for the end of season on our second day, which was a shame. The selection of hot & cold food at breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. We did find the other hotel restaurants to be somewhat overpriced and this might have explained the fact that they seemed almost completely devoid of guests in the evenings, despite the hotel still seeming relatively full at the end of September. We walked down into Koukounaries to eat (beware - there is a VERY steep hill to climb back up to the hotel in the dark!) and also caught the bus into Skiathos town on a couple of evenings. The bus service is excellent and was running late into the night even at the end of September. Skiathos town is really lovely, with wonderful shops, bars & restaurants and you can also take the water bus during the day from just by the hotel bar on Koukounaries beach, although the number of services per day had reduced when we visited at the end of September. But a visit to wander around the old town with its maze of winding, cobbled streets and a sundowner cocktail on the harbour front is a must. We also made the most of our stay by walking through the stunning, unspoiled pine forests which can be accessed a short walk from the hotel. You can walk to gorgeous, quiet beaches on the west and north coasts of the island within 45 minutes which is well worth a trip. We also hired a jeep through the hotel and explored the dirt tracks through the forests all around the island, visiting some more off-the-beaten track beaches and stunning viewpoints, but note that you can only access these roads with a 4x4, bike or on foot. All in all, we found the Elivi to be a beautiful hotel which we cannot recommend highly enough. They have done a wonderful job of blending in the hotel with the stunning surroundings and creating accommodation which pays respect to nature and creates a feeling of tranquility and calm, with direct access to some beautiful beaches and breathtaking scenery. We had the most fantastic holiday.

We don’t usually go back to the same place twice as there are so many wonderful places to visit, however after our first visit in 2019 we had to go back to the Elivi. Covid got in the way for a while, but we made up for it this year with trips in May and September. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff friendly, and the views wonderful. A night out in Skiathos town is only a bus journey away (Dan and Zoe’s Blind Dog Bar not to be missed) and it’s lovely to return to the peace and tranquility of the Elivi.

Had a lovely end of season week here .fabulous room with a jacuzzi on the terrace which was great for relaxing in at the end of the day and located in the Nest Grove. We walked everywhere so didn’t really use the golf buggies. The breakfasts were sumptuous with fantastic views over the bay through the pine trees . Staff all very friendly and chatty . Hotel kept very clean and lovely fluffy towels changed every day. The only little gripes I had , which may appear pedantic, but would certainly improve my next stay would be….. Heated plates for warm food at breakfast. Another coffee machine for breakfast service as waiting 20 minutes for a latte which was usually tepid was a bit lame. Lack of salt and pepper and spoons at the breakfast table . Spoons were very hit and miss both cereal and teaspoons . No milk jiggers or coffee whitener supplied in the guest rooms for tea and coffee, I don’t drink either black . Fix the netting on the tennis court as some of our balls ran onto the road as there is a gap . The tennis court isn’t of the same calibre as the rest of the hotel sadly and could do with some serious attention alround. Apart from those little niggles, we really enjoyed our holiday and will definitely be back . My husband said it was the most scenic hotel we’ve ever stayed at and we have certainly travelled , having worked in the aviation industry for decades.

We came to Elivi for a late honeymoon between September 28th and October 5th 2022. Right from the start this place was magical; our things were taken from to our apartment and Dimitri gave us beautiful welcome drinks and gave us a map of the resort and explained where all the restaurants, beaches and bars were. We were then taken to our breath taking apartment in the Grace area by buggy and found a bottle of sparkling wine in an ice bucket, sweets left for us and that the hotel had given us a room with a plunge pool! See the photos below for the view from the room; my wife said it was like the sea was always with us. What followed was the best week we’ve ever had; a breathtakingly beautiful private beach was metres away from our apartment with gorgeous sun loungers and umbrellas (see pictures below) and massive day beds if you fancied even more luxury. The staff walk along the beach and will take orders for drink and food and bring them to you. After a day’s sunbathing and swimming you can then work your way up to the stunning infinity pool (pictured below) and then eat in the Grace Italian restaurant, which is serves some of the best Italian food we’ve ever tasted. We spent alot of of time on ‘our beach’ but the resort has multiple beaches, bars and restaurants to try; Xenia beach bar is on the popular Kuokuonaries beach where you can try water sports (we went scuba diving which was AMAZING!) and the Nest beach bar is on Banana Beach were we spent a perfect day relaxing. If you are a fan of seafood the Nest Seafood restaurant here serves incredible fresh seafood with a view of Banana Beach. The breakfasts here serve an incredible variety of food; freshly cooked omelette to order, cooked breakfast food are every description, fresh eggs of every kind, traditional Greek yoghurt and fruit, berries, the freshest orange juice I’ve ever tasted, honeycomb and lots of sweet dishes (milk pie is a new favourite!). On our last day we also tried the spa; it truly is amazing that something so luxurious is included with your room and you can use all the spa and gym facilities. However if you fancy an extra spot of luxury, there are treatments available. The wonderful thing about Elivi is that everything you could ever want is accessible on the resort. However if you do fancy going further a field there are lots of restaurants and a supermarket a short walk from the resort, which are great to try and a bus to Skiathos town itself is only 2 Euros each way (expect about 20 for a taxi ride). Skiathos town is vibrant and full of history and again has great restaurants! What really sets Elivi apart however is not just the gorgeous building, facilities and location; it’s the staff. It might be a 5* hotel but the staff are so hospitable, friendly and accommodating, they are what made our week truly perfect. Andreas, Ihon, Stelios on the Grace Beach Bar and Pepi, George, Alexis, Niki, Olga and Dimitris. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we were made to feel like special guests. I think that everybody that stays here is made to feel that way. We’ve also fallen abit in love with the little black cat that can often be found around the resort; he’s very friendly! This was the perfect honeymoon and we feel very sad to be leaving; I hope we can come again as it really is a taste of paradise. Thank you so much to all the Elivi staff for our magical week. James and Ruth Reader.

Tasteful, modern hotel in natural and landscaped grounds. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Every room we saw has a balcony / patio area and a sea view. Room service is excellent with daily fresh towels and bottled water, The room Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The beaches are in easy walking distance with plenty of comfy sun beds and clean towels, even the Wi-Fi works in most places. The complex is well staffed with everyone being polite, friendly and helpful. The buggy service to get you around is a great help as the complex is quite large and spread out. Just be aware that things do start to shut down pretty quickly at the end of September particularly in this part of the island. All in all, a superb place to stay for a relaxing holiday.
