"We've recently returned from our first visit to Vassiliki and Heliotropia House and I am certain that we will be back soon for another visit. Our accommodation was spotless with everything we needed already there, and the buildings, gardens and pool area did not disappoint either - everything beautifully looked after and presented. Such a good balance of a friendly and helpful welcome from our hosts - in fact from our very first email enquiry right through to our goodbyes we felt looked after and made to feel so welcome. The village was lovely, friendly and had just the right amount of restaurants and bars to have choice but without it becoming too touristy or overwhelming. We were visiting in May, and I understand July/Aug is far busier, but May worked fantastically for us! Gorgeous seas, lovely beaches, fun driving around the island and lots of boat trip and activity choices. As said, we will be back!"

Exceptionally clean, comfortable and spacious. Pleasant gardens and decent pool. The owner is pleasant and always around with help and advice but was never intrusive. Definitely recommend and will return if we visit Vasiliki again.

We loved staying here
The maisonette we stayed in was well equipped , comfortable and clean. Everything worked including the wi fi. Daily maid service with fresh towels was really appreciated. Location is great, 10 minute walk along the beach from the main village and all the bars and restaurants. Right next to the main supermarket which became our corner shop, and 5 minutes from the bakeries that provided warm croissants for breakfast.
Stathis , our host was a pleasure to deal with and unfailingly friendly and helpful.
Pool was lovely to dip into after a hot day.
2 bonus features you don’t often see elsewhere. The gardens are gorgeous- a Greek style cottage garden with lots of flowers and shrubs right up to your balcony and front door as well as lawns around the pool. We loved the sunflowers and other shrubs. And 3 friendly cats who like to be stroked. A home from home for us cat lovers.
Only downside. The washing machine is labelled in Greek . So that beat us.
If we come back to Vasiliki, we will definitely try to stay here. Thanks Stathis.

A great place in Lefkada. Very good facilities,very helpful staff and great service provided.
Location wise is great: next to a supermarket, 5 min walking to the beach, 10 min walking to the centre and restaurants.
I would definitely recommend Heliotropia Houses.

Our family of five, with three teenagers had a great time at Heliotropia. Pretty bungalows, well equipped with lovely garden tended every day by the grandmother of the owners. Clean and very friendly service. Was particularly impressed when a door handle broke and it was replaced Monday morning. Well located , it is close to the beach where you can windsurf as a beginner or as a pro. Within 30 min of some of the world's top beaches. We had a fantastic time and the sunflowers weren't even in bloom yet!

We had such a wonderfull vacation in Whitsun 2013 in Vasiliki. It was our third time in Vassiliki and it was even better than the last two years! This vacation was our second time in Heliotropia Houses and it was as wonderfull as the first time. We love Andriana, her brother and her mother. Naturally the Bungalows with the wonderfull area too. We will surely return.The service is excellent and you really feel like coming home. The complex was so nice and clean all the time. When ever you need something or there is a problem, Andriana and her brother will find a solution or will help you.
We highly recommand coming to Lefkada, Vassiliki and to Heliotropia Houses! I'm looking forward to see Andriana, her family and Lefkada next year again. It's heaven on earth. Nature and people from Lefkada are so beautifully, friendly und you feel always welcome.

We returned last Monday from a vacation in Lefkada and it was our best vacation so far. We spent a great time at Heliotropia Houses, in a maisonette that was very nice and homey, decorated in light colours and with new furniture, always very clean, with a balcony and a terrace viewing the garden full of flowers and citrus treas. We enjoyed the pool as well as the barbecue. Andriana and her brother are very kind hosts, always smiling and willing to help, and keeping the house, pool and garden impeccably clean. Their sister Katerina was very prompt and helpful in the reservation process. The houses are 5min from the beach and smth similar from the nice port with very enjoyable taverns, serving tasty food. We extended our stay by one night, as it was hard to leave :) We would love to return! We strongly recommend the place for a dream vacation!

We spent a very nice holiday at this family run villas. The owners are customer oriented: friendly, helpful, always making sure that everything is fine, though their presence was discrete. We let an apartment with 2 rooms, kitchenette and bathroom. It was spotless cleaned every day), large and bright, new furniture, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchenette, TV, DVD, AC... Each room had a nice terrace. There is also a large, very well maintained yard, with grass and beautiful flowers. The swimming pool is pretty small but perfect for a nice swim. They also have a grill corner. The location is good, 2-3 min walk to the beach, right next to the main supermarket, a bit noisy for the house near the road. We would certainly come back. The place is also suitable for couples and friends.

My family and me ( 2 adults, 1 teenager and 3 children ) spent 2011 our first holidays at heliotropia houses. I normally do not go twice to one place, but we did again 2012 and it was even better...
Vassiliki is a Windsurfinghotspot.... and a verry good place in the middle of the island, so you can visit the sandy beaches in the west and the rocky beaches in the east ( you´ll need a car) Vassiliki beach itself is about 3 minutes by feet ( not the nicest on tne island) , but there are a lot of beaches along the way to Agiofili (wow) where you can walk ( 12 minutes up to 40 minutes)
In the village are a lot of tavernas on the harbour. The supermarket is next door to the Appartments. The maisonettes are verry good built houses with AC, kitchen, 2 WC, shower 2 balconies and really the best service I have ever seen. The area is maneged by one family which is really polite and helps by every problem. Also a verry nice pool and a BBQ is in the garden.

Heliotropia houses is a perfect pleace to spend holidays in Vasiliki / Lefkada Island. Our family of four had a maisonette, it was very spacious for us, on great, calm location with pretty garden, just few steps from the market. The apartments had been everyday cleaning by charming Adriana and Stathis, always with smile on their face and ready to help and service!
We recommend to stay there to everyone, especially to families with children.
