The hotel is located in extensive grounds carefully managed by the family and staff, with a nice pool, sunbeds, umbrellas, a bar serving light snacks and drinks
and excellent views across to Albania and the Greek mainland.
The family thrive on personal attention and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are not big but how long do you spend in there. All room facilities are provided at no extra cost.
Car/scooter hire and local transport can be found closeby, as well as the many restaurants, fast food outlets and bars/cafes at competitive prices.
The shingle beach is narrow with beds and parasols to hire but very popular with tourists. Of course, busy in July and August with many young holidaymakers from Italy so our choice another time would be to visit in June or September, although the hotel had vacancies.
Access to the hotel on foot is via a fairly steep hill so for the not so young improvements in accessibility would be a bonus, although we managed it every evening for 10 days!
This hotel would be our choice again if visiting Corfu.
Breakfast is superb with a choice of cereal, hot food, pastries, salads, youghurts, fruit and cheese and ham. The hot food changed daily and there was always a different greek speciality.
Our flight home was in the evening and the room vacation is 11am. No problem, we could enjoy the pool, bar and gardens for as long as we like, as the hotel have luggage storing and a lovely shower room for you to use.
The hotel unfortunately had suffered through covid and whilst prevoisly put on greek nights and entertainment with the bar open to all hours, now the hotel is run only by the family and the bar shuts at 8pm. however you are only a 5 mins walk to the front strip of Ipsos which is completely full of bars and restaraunts. Some very authentic greek tavernas and a short walk just out of ipsos is a fantastic restaraunt "The Squirrel". but you do need to book. Also look for the family run smaller restarauants. you will receive a very warm welcome and excellent food and wine.
the beach again is only 5 mins walk. It is all pebbles but very thin so only requires a two step walk to the sea which is crystal clear. you do need to walk over pebbles for the first few feet and the water pumps are a good buy but then you can walk out a good way on sand .
Ipsos is a great location for everyone and the hotel yannis is smack bang in the middle of the strip and caters for families and couples.
Apart from that the pool, bar and surroundings make up for a lot, it's really nice and properly maintained.
The breakfast is definitely one of the best we've had in our two weeks in Greece.
You can't have dinner at the hotel but the main boulevard is about 5-10min walk from the hotel.
The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from Ipsos beach and has plenty of parking if you have a car. It is up a slight hill if you have mobility issues but you should be oaky.
Our room was clean and had everthing we needed. If you can get a sea view for great views. The room was also cleaned daily. The Wi FI was strong and worked all over the hotel. The grounds are well kept and the pool area was amazing with plenty of comfotable sun beds and a view over the Ionian sea.
All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is buffet style and had all the usual Greek options and was served from 07.30 to 11.00. They do serve food around the pool in the day but I don't think they serve food in the evenings but don't worry as there are many great restaurants on the Ipsos strip and further away ie Dassia/Corfu Town.
If you are arrring by the number 7 bus just get off at City hall and walk down the road by En El Mar bar and you will find the sign for the hotel in a couple of minutes.
We can highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again when in Ipsos.
still, on the first day i received a room with a very bad smell due to a moister wall it has. So the first night was very bad. Next day a was moved with no comments from the guests (i believe they knew from the beginning about the smell) to other room...no compensation received.
the rest of the holiday was excellent to this location, good breakfast, cleaning, environment. the bar was very expensive (ex: mytos 330 ml 4.5 eur) comparing with other bars

"An easy taxis ride from Gouvia Marina and Corfu town. We used Uber which was great. We ate out at Phevos restaurant which was excellent."Read full review
