Porto Angeli is very nice hotel resort consisting of several smaller buildings and pools located on hillside next to the sea. We spent there very nice family vacation, hotel is perfect for families with children (children pools, playground, various activities). Very good restaurants and very nice staff. Staff: Very polite, nice and helpful all the time. Location: Small and quiet village, no other big hotels around. Beach is sandy with stones starting few meters in the water. Beach: Private beach but due to covid with reduced capacity so if we came after 9:30 there were no sunbeds and umbrellas free. Beach has two parts. The one more on the south was usually not so crowded but on the other hand was a bit dirty. Facilities: Three different pools, children pool with slides. Unfortunately the water in the pools was quite cold. Especially in children pools would be better to have warmer water. Very nice and big children playground and minigolf. Rooms: Nice and clean. Food: Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner in main restauratn + two á la carte restaurants for dinner and two snack bars for drinks or snacks during day. The food was very good, plenty of choices. Salad buffet was perfect. On the other hand approximately 70% of dishes were the same every evening... Quality was more like 4 star hotel not 5 star. Most of the meat dishes were a bit overcooked (I prefer less done meat). What I missed at the breakfast were some normal juices. You can buy (2 EUR) fresh orange juice or you can have for free something called juice which is basically coloured water full of sugar with terrible taste... But chocolate fountain at the dinner was perfect :-) At the end we really enjoyed holiday there and I would definitely go back again and can recommend Porto Angeli to everyone.…
Best holiday ever. Fantastic staff, great facilities, wide variety of food, very clean and tidy, just an all round superb hotel!!! Definitely be coming again ASAP and will be telling all our friends, if you want to visit Rhodes don’t go anywhere else!
We have spent 9 night in this amazing hotel in a suite with a private pool. The suite is very up-to-dated in a modern a luxury style. Definitely will come back! The hotel is very well managed and all the staff very helpful, speaking good English and very polite. Nice choice of food during all the day. One of our best stay in Greece ever!
Very quiet area, a clean hotel with great facilities. High level of hospitality from the staff. Was staying in the suite with the private pool & incredible sea view. Food was very tasty & different every day. There are 3 restaurants in the area, where you can try different cuisine. A lot of activities for kids & adults. Every evening some event. Tennis & nice gym. Easy to get from the airport by taxi. In the hotel, we could rent a very cheap car to visit the main sightseeings. Cheaper than paying for the bus if you plan to visit a few places & cheaper than to take at the airport international car renting brands. The private beach is very clean & water in the sea is very clear. All day long there are options with food & drinks.
Spent here with my family two weeks in June.Very nice place to stay, but good to rent a car to see more of the island.Food was amazing, very kind staff, greetings for Christie from animation team-her mini discos wil stay for long in our mind:)a lot of fun for kids.A bit cold water in swimming pools.Remember to close the net in balcony window because of big insects...Generally very nice stay.
OK so all the animation everything was in German and we were the only English people I encountered in this hotel . not the worst thing, the Germans tend to like nice beach hotels , I am generalising of course , and have nothing against Germans , but I prefer a mixed clientele most things were not repeated in English , for example the aqua was all in German . I guess because I don't speak German it ain't my cup of tea , I bet Germans feel like this in some predominantly English hotels . The room was really lovely with tiny pool , we had a jnr suite , definitely give room 5 stars. The beach was very nice too . My covid experience and dining experience was not pleasant , apart from the guy who greets you, who was lovely welcoming and funny , the whole dining experience just left me feeling exhausted . This is a family resort most people here are young families , and there is a lot of walking to do on this resort to the main restaurant , so its not really suitable for older people . you get gloves to help yourself to food , and after the MAYIA and the food at the village near The Nama retreat, we didn't like the food here . you couldn't get fresh eggs or omelettes . The eggs were all done at once , although they did flip one for me , it still tasted like rubber . We didn't look forward to dining at all , and ate out twice during our stay as it felt claustrophobic , eating outside in the main restaurant was not easy either, as there are lots of wasps at the hotel (lots of beautiful flowers too ). The a la carte restaurants were better but not a touch on the other places we had eaten . We just weren't relaxed here when it came to dining . We stayed mainly in our room which was relaxing . The room and view from the room were magic , cleaning was only done every so often , I think they said every 3 days , but we were just here for a few nights and they did come to clean our room on the 2nd day . I would recommend this hotel to young German families they will love it . You can get lunch by the pool , but again this was things like burgers , sausage , kebabs. I would recommend it room only , as rooms are fab, as long as you don't mind the walk up and down to the beach . Beach was lovely and there are a few good tavernas along the beach . Sea was clear and warm and plenty of loungers . The wifi wasn't the best just OK you have to get it from the TV and when you moved outside it often cut off . I didn't take part in the activities except aqua , as all in German and even the aqua left me feeling a bit unmotivated . This is a hotel for people with young children , as I believe they have lots of activities and a playground here for kids . The pools with the jnr suites are small if you want to do laps take a swim up room instead . Be prepared to walk around a bit up and down a slight hill .…
We had a great time with our 2 yr old there, plenty for a child to do, lovely relaxing beach with clear water. Staff very friendly especially all the georgios and his team in the restaurant. Relaxing family hol
The compound is nicly integrated into the hillside. Maintained and family friendly organized, also kids friendly staff. Due to the current situation some additional rules are in place. Could be more strict controlled... We stayed in a superior fam room, with seperated bedrooms. The door has to be kept open during the night, as otherwise the A/C can not cool down the separation. Animation for kids, teens of each age is good organized, 4-16 The activites offered (i.e. mini-golf, Fitness) are also in proper condition. A bit disadvantage are the restaurants No real greek kitchen, and other choices are 50/50. Also reachability by public transportation is nearly nill.. If you would like to see different beaches and sightseeing, you need a car. Offered trips are overcharged Parking of rental car is a challenge, as parking slots are limited. Location is a good starting point to start trips across the island, by car. …
Porto Angeli beach bresort and it's Staff have done a great job of making our stay a memorable one. The COVID 19 safe systems that are in place are impressive, very well managed, reassuring and did not have a negative impact on our holiday. This has to be one of the cleanist Hotel's we've been to. Food is of a good quality, varied and plentiful. Our superior family room with sea view was large and modern. Loved the private beach and the sea was clear, calm and great for snorkeling. Daily buss service to Rhodes town runs from the front of the hotel and is recommended. One small negative was the fact that the animation team do not display a timetable in English and cater mainly for the German tourists. Thank you Porto Angeli👍.
I’m so disappointed of my choice, the hotel in time corona, they don’t respect the social distancing The food is not good and not have taste. Every day for lunch/dinner same food And same dessert :/ The hotel should be ranked as 4 stars apparemment hôtel (maximum) and it is not a resort Not recommended
