I wanted to stay in uncommercialised place on the beach and found the Stegna Star. It’s across the road from a main Sandy beach and has loads of Greek character. Great place to stay. Perfect location, owners and staff are great. I was made to feel very welcome and I’d love to go back. A real Greek experience. Stegna is a quieter area of Rhodes, but Lindos and Rhodes town are not far away. Travelling on my own, I felt completely safe and wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you.

It was a great relaxing week away with family. The beach was just across the road outside the apartment block where there were sun beds that can be hired for €8 for the day. We were there in what was an unusual time so our experience may not be usual but we couldn’t fault the resort and would revisit. Stegna was not a place we had heard of before booking but we were after a quiet week sitting on a beach and eating out and this resort hit the brief perfectly. Unfortunately the restaurant attached to the apartment block was not open when we were there but there were many other restaurants open a short stroll away and a supermarket within 5min walk. The apartment was clean and we got clean towels/bedding on a regular basis, not everyday but frequent enough for us. The only reason for it not getting 5 stars was because the restaurant wasn’t open and we got a few little critters visiting us one evening...

Been the last 7 days in stegna star with my wife and son, the staff is very helpful and even helped us getting a tour of Rhodes with gem tours which was excellent. We tried most restaurants around and found the stegna star restaurant to be really good, service was excellent. Would definitely go back to enjoy the beach and the quiet surroundings. It is very cheap to rent a car or a scooter and just go wherever one wants to go.

We stayed here for a week, the rooms are big and very clean and comfortable, the balcony is lovely to sit out and from our room 201, look out to sea. The staff where lovely, very helpful. Free WiFi on the beach which is a one minute walk, Stegna itself is a quiet village, lots of shops, bars and restaurants, no loud music, mainly families and couples, a great place to relax. The restaurant attached to the hotel has an excellent variety of Mediterranean food all cooked to order, try it all, you won’t be disappointed, I can’t recommend Stegna Star highly enough. We loved it and will definitely return, probably with more of our family

Katerina , Karen & family always give you a lovely warm welcome & look after so well during your stay . Nothing is too much trouble they are a lovely family. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean , with great bathrooms, plenty of hot water & towels . Lovely beach across the road , what more do you need ? Upgraded the sunbeds & added beach service for drinks & snacks . The restaurant food is fantastic if not some of the best in Stegna . Thank you for another great holiday we will be back.

we looked at these apartments a couple of years ago and they looked delightful. Spoke to the owners and promised we'll be back, and we're booked for 2019. Perfectly placed by the seafront with lots of superb tavernas close by.

Just lovely and inexpensive, very friendly owner, helped us to go to next village for shopping and was really nice. Staff were helpful and beach just across the road , you need to pay 7 euros for 2 people a day thats okay. There are plenty of resturants and a few shops to buy most things but Archangelos has bigger supermarkets and more access for bus service to other places on island.Great place , hotel well located and we will come back next year, upgrading the front of the building so no food available when we went but other places so near.Loved it ,had a great time. Thanks !!

We stayed at the Stegna Star for one week in mid August as a family of three (myself, hubby and 16 year old daughter). We arrived late at night and was immediately made very welcome with a lovely bottle of red wine and water for our apartment. The owner Caterina is on hand most of the day and night and keeps a caring eye on all her guests for the right reasons. The apartments are in a single line behind the taverna which is just across the small road from the beach - an amazing location with bars, tavernas, supermarkets and small shops within a short stroll. The location is peaceful which is in line with the resort as a whole. The apartments are basic but with all you need for a holiday (and they are much nicer than many Greek apartments I've stayed in), with a full size bath and shower above. We had no issues with hot water etc.. The apartments offer sunbeds on the beach for 7 euros for 2 beds and umbrella or 10 euros for an additional bed, with wifi included. Manolos will also provide a beach bar service or drinks and food. Mylos bar is footsteps away and we hotfooted it there at11.30pm on our arrival, made so welcome and then visited every day and night without fail. Very friendly ( all staff came out to say goodbye and wave us off) and safe apartments providing lovely Greek accommodation in a traditional Greek resort - we loved it and will be back.
