We had a lovely stay here in May 2019. Our room (split over two levels) was large, clean and comfortable, plus had a lovely terrace and sunloungers. The pool area is stunning. Sadly for us, the jacuzzi pool was not "on" whilst we were there - we asked for it to be turned on, but it would have taken a LONG time to heat up, plus it hadn't been cleaned out for a while so there was some insects floating in it (even though it's inside). Sometimes there was music playing by the pool, but we didn't find it especially loud or obtrusive - sometimes we even liked it! From what I remember it wasn't "club" music - sometimes local greek music, sometimes pop/pop-rock. The staff were very helpful and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The town is very quiet but that's what we wanted - you must visit the taverna down the hill on the beachfront, the staff there were incredibly friendly and the food was outstanding.

Never again · In October 2018 (10 months before my trip !!!!) I booked a superior one-bedroom with sea view apartment (with balcony and super sea view) non-refundable. I chose this apartment because of the view and the private balcony. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the apartment booked 10 months ago was unavailable. They gave us an apartment on the ground floor. It was located by the roadside, there was no shady part, the neighbor in front of us slept 20 times a day. There was no private part. The apartment she booked in October featured a double bed and a sofa, but in this cheap apartment the child had to sleep on a camping bed, outrageous. Breakfast is the same every day, poor junk food. There was no fresh fruit, unlike photos uploaded to booking, fresh fruit boards. I think this was very wrong with the accommodation, I would have expected at least a refund if my vacation had been ruined. and I would like to point out again that approx. 10 months ago, I booked the apartment with a non-refundable payment method !!!!!!! unfortunately

Huge disappointment. Before, this hôtel was a quiet place. In the most beautiful country in the world, we could enjoy the silence, the sound of the sea, the birds and the wind. Unfortunately, today, there is this HORRIBLE INTERNATIONAL "MUSIC", this "soup" which is IMPOSED TEN HOURS A DAY while we have not asked for anything. This is disrespect for customers who should be entitled to calm! We will never come back again.

Amazing and cozy hotel! Rooms are very clean, modern decoration and with a great view. Food at the dinner is perfect, mostly greek flavours and well cooked like mama’s homemade. Breakfast is good. The pool is clean and very big. Staff is very helpful and friendly. At the end of our stay, after the check-out they offered us a bottle of homemade raki!! Location of the hotel offers a nice view but although the sea is nearby you have to walk a few meters down a cleaf. I would love to go back again!!!

we loved it there, 8 days were just way too short! the room was super nice, it had a decent size balcony and booking a room with sea view is absolutely worth it. the ceiling in the bathroom is a bit low but it's fine, even if you're a bit taller. everyone there was really friendly and helpful, all our questions were answered very nicely. the buffet is not as big as you might know it from big hotels but everything was absolutely delicious, good quality and fresh. we arrived really late at night and they had even saved some dinner for us. when we left really early in the morning we got a little breakfast as well :) there is also free parking. Wi-Fi was free and pretty fast. the beach is lovely and wasn't overcrowded when we were there. there is a lovely tavern right at the beach that's it free sun chairs and umbrellas, even if you're not eating there. I would recommend going there for lunch or dinner though, it was very delicious. there are a few taverns and little shops in town and also busses that frequently go to different places. I would absolutely go there again, the hotel was perfect and koutsounari is a great spot if you wanna go and explore different places along the south coast or in the eastern part of the county. make sure you get a rental car for a few days as well, it's worth it!

Very nice location for people who would like to enjoy peaceful holidays. We had an appartment with a beatiful view over the olivetrees and the sea. The room was very nicely equipped although the bathroom should be rennovated soon. There was a TV in the room but we didn't even turn it on. The staff are very friendly and helpfull and the food was really good. For breakfast there was a lot of fruit an vegetables (among all other things that are usual). The only thing I didn't like were the eggs sunny side up that were overcoocked. The dinner there were usually only 4 or 5 main dishes (besides salads...) which were different every evening and represented local Cretan food. We enjoyed it very much. The distance to the beach is about 500m pretty steep downhill / uphill. I would definitely go to this hotel again.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Koutsounari on Crete, thanks to an outstanding stay at the Aroma Creta Hotel. Set on a hill facing the sea, among olive trees, the ideal location and excellent care by the staff -- tasty food every night and morning -- was the perfect way to experience the southeastern side of this Greek island.

We stayed at aroma end of August and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the super romantic scenery. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff is very friendly and interested to make your stay a pleasant experience. The pool is clean and refreshing, the view amazing and the food satisfactory. We really enjoyed the wine, too. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Just the bathrooms need a bit of renovating, but they are fully functional. You can reach many beautiful beaches located in the area and go to Ierapetra for dinner or drinks, the main city of the district. You do need a car or motorbike though to move around.
