Excellent hotel, one of the best of Greece i could say. The stuff always there when it is needed especially the whole stuff of the kitchen. Great food, always clean. Love you all guys. See you again next year.
Please note this is for sunshine Crete village not beach Mid-sold told all inclusive but you have to walk 6 minute down hill and up hill back to the sunshine Crete beach for lunch dinner Abysmal reception from a next to useless Oleg who was clueless we arrived around 4 pm starving and no food all day Kids had to carry own luggage uphill no help no room service room at all poor finish It may all inclusive but service here is poor We moved to sunshine beach which is miles better don’t waste your money on this one Oleg was clueless
All in all we had a fabulous week at Sunshine Hotel Crete, a lovely place to spend a week in the sun. Hotel, room, pool and beach...were all great! Plenty of sunbeds at both the beach and pool. Everywhere was clean, tidy and comfortable. There was a good selection of food options available, all of which were very fresh and frequently replenished. Staff across the board were really pleasant and helpful, particularly Tony from the entertainment team, who was loads of fun, welcoming, full of energy and always smiling or joking about! The PADI dive centre team were also great and our 10YO son had a great first scuba dive experience with Phil, who captured it all on camera. The only slight negative was the bathrooms... the one in our room was looking a little tired as were the open access ones.…
Great week good food room nice and tidy with helpful staff and brilliant animation Team good work Tony My sons first scuba Weather was good and a good place to get away from commercial culture and see Crete
We really liked staying here for 12 days, acommodation was not as good - not luxurious but everything u need is there. Food was fine (maybe it should be more various but really tasty) beach Amazing (beach bar with snack whole day, nice country, sea, very friendly and helpful staff, animations also awesome (nice shows, activities, for kids and adults also). We hope next year there will be sand on the beach volleyball court - stones are not as good for that :) Really nice stay 🏝
Great stay, had checked reviews before arriving and wasn't sure what to expect but had a lovely stay. Hotel obviously under new management, staff friendly and pleasant, hotel and grounds clean and well maintained, sun sea and sand....what more could anyone want? Am looking to book a return trip maybe later in the season...the hotel was so nice that I didn't get chance to explore surrounding area. So glad I didn't let previous reviews put me off
Just back from Creete holiday - Sunshine Crete Village hotel. Never again in this hotel.Reception staff so rude. Report to the receptions staff about - tv services ( never worked - 10 days). Not any animations, the bath is blocked, water stays in the bath if you take the shower as well. My girlfriend ordered the birthday cake by phone from London, for me, my birthday was 05/09, we arrived there 04/09. She had the confirmation from the hotel, the birthday cake arrives on 05/09 and cost her 18 euro, and she agrees for that., And we arrive there 04/09, my misses like to confirm the order, nobody knows nothing about this order. So, so, so, rude. Fridge not working in the room, we report that to reception, nobody care. Book the Italian restaurant there, you can do it only one's time per stay, ok. We booked, the morning, the evening we wear nice cloth, and we are not on the list. So rude. We spoke with our receptionist, he said, maybe someone not understands. Ok. This was Tuesday, Wednesday was close, and we booked Thursday evening. I just remind you, we lived there Friday morning.I just checked on Thursday morning the booking for the Italian restaurant, Thursday evening at my reception, and they said my booking is on Friday evening. I was so angry, the receptionist said, go to the main hotel, mean Sunshine Creete Beach, the same company. Walk for about 7-8 minutes from our hotel. I been there, and ask to speak with the manager , the receptionist sends me the general reception manager, she confirms my booking is on Thursday, and nothing n happen and what is my complain for. I was so angry and abused, not want to talk to her any more. Another thing - some dinner, lunch was on Sunshine Creete Bech hotel, mean 7 min, walk, nobody let us know about it. Not still water in the room daily (37-degrees outside), only close to the receiving water in the cups, you can't fill the bottles there. More, we had 4 towels in our room, 2 small, and 2 big, two persons, one day the cleaner took out one bath towel, from our room, and put back after 3 days, 3 rolls of toilet paper is provided for stay for two people 10 days. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!…
You pay for what you get, and this hotel, although basic, was absolutely fine. The staff are excellent, the food can be a little repetitive, but was tasty and generous - perhaps more days with bacon on for breakfast! Apart from its sister hotel a short walk to the beach, there isn't huge amounts to do, so take a good book, enjoy the pool, all inclusive drinks and get to know your European neighbours!
Positives -clean linen and near the beach plus there’s a lovely restraunt down the road once your sick off the food which won’t take long no choice poor quality no hygiene in eating areas we tried for 3 days eating it and couldn’t do it anymore spent 800 euros eating out and spending time away from the place staff in reception were the worst we have encountered in many years travelling rude unhelpful and unable to speak proper English comunication was a nightmare size of room ok but dated badly air con poor also so can’t sleep and the noise at night from the wind is horrendous well it’s such a windy place in general the beach is all pebbles and hard to walk on especially later in day when hot and no branded drinks in hotel plus plastic cups for your beer or juice which just blow away the hotel must waste thousands of these plastic cups a day not good for the sea as that’s were they end up as said in the title avoid if your British or Irish as the only cater for our Eastern European friends only heard one other family speaking English all week...don’t think they want brits here anyway as the entrance has flags up from all over Europe but no British flag up!! Unlucky if you have booked don’t book if you haven’t ...DONT !!i do not know who gives these stars out for ratings but someone should have a word with them 👎🏻👈🏻…
A rundown old hotell resort that just leave a bitter taste in my mouth. No flexibility in staff from reception to dining room. Actually they were kind of rude in the reception. First thing rooms only get one bottle of water on arrival for a family of four. When asked if we can get another bottle the simple just say no and we were told we can come to reception and get water from small plastic cups. We were not allowed to refill in bottle. If wanted more bottled water we hade to go to supermarket. NOT ok when you pay over €200 per night. Room is kind of big with a hard bed and with one pillow per person. Second - Breakfast is kind of horrible with no toaster and no fresh fruits if you not count in Grapefruit slices, orange wedges and kiwi. Same for four days. My daughters love watermelon for breakfast but that was only served for lunch and dinner when we like to eat dinner food. We asked if we could get it for breakfast but got told the have a schedule they have to follow. Doesn't help us. The juices are the worst kind of concentrate. I got it is hard for a big hotel like this to have something good juice way for breakfast. But I could pay a couple euros to get fresh orange juice. Most stuff look tired and uninspired and you never get a hello and welcome entering any facility except the kids club. To bad they did not have any Scandinavian staff. But Hotel seems to focus on guests from Russia, Armenia, Germany and Tjeck. The hotel doesn't have any room service or minibar that is a criteria to be a five star hotel. Lucky we have internet rooming from Sweden otherwise it is €60 for a week. No towel service for the pool or we were not told about it. Beach is ok if you like stone beach so bring beach shoes because it get really hot. But it's nice and perfect for a swim but not good for kids that con not swim yet. Pools are not fancy or anything I wish that the kids pool had some shade from a tree or something. The pools with waterslides felt not so clean and they were busy so water was not clear. Music was really loud so kids (four and six) did't enjoy that. But if you don't care about toast and watermelon in morning. If you don't care if you have to go to reception or all the way down the restaurant to get water and so on....maybe this is the hotel for you. Specially if you are from the east part of the world.…
