We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Denali National Park. Convenient location about 15 minutes from the park entrance. We stayed in one of the cabins on the creek. Cabin was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. These are two unit cabins with a nice little deck that has a wall separating it from the other unit. It was very quiet, never heard the people in adjoining cabin.
Fairly new construction and very well maintained means that you avoid some of the "dumps" or the cramped hotels that are available in the area! Cabins are situated along the raucous creek and are "duplex style" -- with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and a wonderful easy food options right out the door, or just down the road. The grounds are a garden with lovely flowers and fresh greens that are plucked for the restaurant. A microwave and fridge make it easy to save the part of that fantastic sandwich from the restaurant that you couldn't finish - for that midnight snack after a long hike in the park. And if you don't try some of the pastries - especially ANYTHING with rhubarb - well, that's on you! Oh yeah, they are very close to the park entrance - about 9 miles. So you can get soaking wet on your hike to Horseshoe Lake or along the Savage River, and come back to dry off and warm up. The people there are very nice as well, from Robin at the front desk to the servers in the restaurant - and they seem to be very "covid" savvy. Not much space outside to eat at the restaurant, but they have a covered gazebo next to the creek and you are welcome to take your meals out there. That is a grand choice in the rain.…
Our family arrived at Creekside Cabin's Monday evening, Sept. 21, to find the main cabins and cafe had been closed for the season that day due to freezing water pipes. Tracey had upgraded our 2QB cabin to a full size house rental just up the road. The Carlo Guest Cabin was luxurious and had two spacious bedrooms, two full baths, and a modern kitchen. We drove the last day of the Denali Road Lottery, which made having a wonderfully warm cabin to stay in after 12 hours of driving in cool temperatures so nice and only nine miles from the park entrance! Wish we could have stayed a week instead of two nights. Thank you!
These were really nice cabins and relatively new construction. They were a bit hard to find being tucked away in the woods but very cozy. The staff was also very helpful and available all the time, even when I rolled in around midnight.
We stayed in 3 hotels throughout our stay in Alaska and this one was easily our favorite. Fresh baked cookies and a handwritten note upon arrival. The fridge and microwave in the room were sooo helpful and convenient! Very well maintained, very clean and BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL location. Peaceful and serene. We had several sandwiches from the cafe, MANY baked goods, and ate twice at the restaurant. The service was amazing and the food was even better. Cannot wait to come back and highly recommend to anyone!
