Overall, this resort was very good. Our room was nice and had a great view of the mountains. Overall, the property seemed new. As the name implies, the building we stayed in had a chalet-like exterior and a nice rustic interior. It was a short walk to the properties restraint, and a large outdoor area with fire pits. The mountains provided and excellent backdrop, and the Nnena river is visible from the upper areas of the resort. It was a bit of a walk uphill to the main lobby, but the resort does have a shuttle which circles the property. There is also a shuttle to the Denali National Park visitor center. The resort is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants along the road leading into the park.

The McKinley Chalet was very good, and the experience was well organized. Sort of like being on board a ship just on the land. The restaurants were very good, and the place was clean and well maintained. You could walk to places or wait on the bus. There were fire pits, and the artist in residence was one of my favorite things. The off-property restaurants and shops were worth exploring, with some of them being better than on-site offerings.

The McKinley Chalet is scant miles from the northern Denali Park Entrance, and offers superior rooms, a variety of restaurant options, shopping, planning, booking and other amenities, to make the visit to Denali easy and wonderful.

Everything from service, food, and quality of room was amazing. I would love to return again and spend longer in the hotel as only had a few days as I was doing an alaska cruise. Location is great and lovely comfortable beds.

This was our favorite of the 3 Princess resorts we stayed in. The McKinley Chalet dinner theatre is a must - the food just keeps coming and it is more than delicious! The theater production was super fun and the actors were also the waiters - multi-talented! The grounds at this Princess resort are completely pristine and there are shuttle buses at each area to take you anywhere you would like inside the resort. Live music in the evening at the firepit. This resort is 6 STARS! Would definitely go back here again.
