When we arrived in Crete we were told that the hotel we were staying in was full until the next day and was moved to this hotel with the choice to go back ( to our original hotel)the day after. We loved it here so much that we stayed for our full 9 nights. Everyone were so lovely towards us. I'd highly recommend. Yanice and George we love you both lots, thank you for looking after us all with the alcohol supplies 🤣🤣Also thank you to everyone that works there for being the best hosts ever. Kerry, Dennis, Karen and Stuart. X X X X

As others have experienced, we had booked another hotel that was overbooked so ended up here (this is part 2 of my 3 part hotel trip in Crete). On arrival the manager was very welcoming and apologetic, however this was not the hotel we booked, so instantly had reservations. I am rating this on a 4* all inclusive basis. Room - large and no issues, cleaners everyday. Facilities - based on what we were expecting (slides, multiple pools etc.) this was lacking! The saving grace was a quiet pool mostly, however this was used by all the youths come an evening. The pool was also not well maintained as there were loose slabs around it. Food - Breakfast very repative, not a huge choice. Lunch - very good, this was by far the best meal, it was not served buffet and you ordered from a menu. Food was very good, and the bar lady who served was very good. Evening meal - tasty, but not much choice, I was always OK but my daughter and wife were less than impressed. All inclusive drinks - fully understood the limited selection, however the wine was really bad! Not only that, but as an all inclusive guest you are treated badly, no table service and you're only allowed plastic! I had to more or less plead for a real glass with my evening meal. This really makes me uncomfortable as an all inclusive guest and made me feel a second rate guest!! This really played on us. Location was good, near a good beach. Part way through our stay, our booking company found another hotel, this will form part 3 of the saga..... On checkout of this hotel I was made to feel even more awkward by being asked to sign a waiver stating I would not sue them, and the accommodation was just as good. If this has happened to you, you do not need to sign this, and I advice you do not sign this! Overall I feel a 3 star is generous, and is mostly this rating due to the staff.

Perfect welcome. The staff is very kind. The majority of the rooms are to be renovated. Only a few have been. Swimming pool a bit small for 40 accommodations. Correct meal .... nothing more .. Air conditioning extra. 300 meters from the beach.

Fantastic hotel, thoroughly enjoyable with wonderfully friendly staff and family feel. Exquisite food with a good buffet selection including local produce without compromising on quality. Very clean, well-kempt with nice rooms and kitchenette very handy. Pool small but great. Manos the manager seemed to know every one of the guests singlehandedly made the stay brighter with his smile and greetings in multiple languages. Offered to sort out transfers for us, gave advice, chatted and came out to wave goodbye when we left! Would recommend this place to anyone - an antidote to big commercial hotels!

Family run hotel with a personal and friendly feel. We were offered a large, bright, clean room with very nice view. Katerina, the owner, is always around from early morning to midnight. She is a lovely lady, very pleasant and polite and is extremely friendly. We were impressed by her great sweetness and kindness. Would like to acknowledge Manos, the hotel manager who was welcoming, professional, attentive and very accommodating. He is a very kind to both tourists as well as co-workers. The food was outstanding - thank you chef Dimitris for your hard work! Every dish was fresh and delicious and every day we discovered something new from the Cretan cuisine. If you are looking for a quiet, welcoming, reasonably-priced place where one can enjoy good food then this is perfect for you. It was a long way from Canada but quite worth it - thank you!

We arrived at Anthoula Village for a week with 4 people with breakfast and dinner. On arrival we were charmed by the atmosphere, the style of the hotel and the staff. They explained to us that there was a mistake in the booking of the rooms and a nice commercial gesture was made to us! In more detail, the hotel has a lovely swimming pool, a very well stocked buffet and is less than 500 metres from the sea. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. A "Greek" evening is also organized to make us discover the local music! We would like to extend our warmest greetings to the entire Anthoula Village team for their generosity, attention and dedication which made this trip exceptional! My partner and I were ill for most of the stay and Manos checked on us every day. It was a great service! Thank you for all Manos :) Yannis

Excellent service, especially by Manolis at the reception. We enjoyed our holiday very much at Anthoula and felt at home with the warm Cretan hospitality. I highly recommend for a memorable holiday in Crete!
