arrived on 24th September for a 2 week holiday, on arrival we got told that on 2nd October we would be moved to another hotel due to this one closing, we assumed maybe because its end of season? the hotel is clean throughout. Our room was nice and clean, quite small, we was just around corner from the reception so heard quite alot of noise very early in morning with staff coming into work or leaving. Alot of doors being slammed during the night and early morning. I found the beds quite comfortable, pillows are not so great, felt like woke up with a stiff neck most mornings as did my partner. If you don't pay for the air con you can find your room is hotter than what it actually is outside and they stay very hot during the night. our towels and bedding only got changed once. The food was ok, im quite a fussy eater breakfast - had cold meats, cheese, bread, and some pastries, boiled egg and scrambled egg, this was the same every morning. lunch- pasta, two choices of sauces, veg, salad, potatoes, couple of other choices tea - same as lunch most days. found that the food was very greasy and oily, im not a fan of that and left horrible coating in mouth. But the food itself is nice. The pool is quite cold, alot of gasps getting into it, only downside I found was the pool wasn't cleaned once whilst we stayed, so quite alot of bits at the bottom of the pool and around the sides of the pool looked quite scummy marks. But the pool was nice once you braved getting into it fully :) The pool bar alright- for all inclusive only choices for drinks were beer, wine, soft drinks. No spirits included. Only allowed to get 1 drink per person at a time and the cups are very small. it's very nice at night around the pool bar all lit up nicely :) all inclusive finished at 10pm. The area that the hotel is located in is so lovely, plenty of places to go and eat and all relatively cheap! there is also a supermarket as you come out of the hotel. The beach is about a 5 minute walk away and it Is stunning! the sea is very clear and very warm, loads of nice places to get something to eat and drinks :) still again all relatively cheap and so lovely! Our favourite place was Athenia! overall a really nice stay, lovely area, staff nice and friendly, would 100% stay again!

Stayed at Sunny Resort for a week holiday with my family and had the best time. The hotel was perfect for a quiet family holiday. A lovely clean studio room for us all with a perfect pool and sea view. The staff are excellent and very helpful in all ways. The manager went the extra mile for my disabled mother, better than many hotels we have stayed in. We will be back. Thanks Sunny resort for a perfect holiday :-).

Our family of three people were in this hotel on our vacation. One of us had a birthday on the day of arrival. The hotel manager was very kind and gave us a better room with a wonderful view of the sea, the city and the mountains. It was amazing to watch the sunrises. The hotel staff was very helpful. It was nice that the manager, even later, repeatedly asked how we were doing and whether everything was good. Before our arrival I have read some bad reviews about hotel’s food, but can't say it is true. The food was very tasty and varied. We tasted octopus, squid, fish, various meats, traditional salads, cheeses. We had a great stay in this hotel and will definitely come back!

Food is good, however limited daily variation. No cheese for the bolognaise. Staff very friendly and speak good English. Tasos, the bar tender is extremely friendly and helpful! Gives great recommendations for places to go and really helps make your trip here! Air con is €7 per night. Hot water wasn’t working one of the nights and reception weren’t able to fix it. Toilet seats broken all over the place! Overall, place is ok, it’s cheap but you get what you pay for.

We were in D&D resort in August 2020. Hotel was prepared for requirements of coronavirus, they care about the clean and desinfection . Food was good , waiters were very friendly, helpful, nice and made friendly atmosphere. Minus from us is for air conditioning which costed 7€per day . We were delighted to barman Tasos, who was profesional , made very delicious drinks , invented his verisions which were very tasty . He made also greatful coffe , especially tasted me frappe. Tasos was very postitive person, who smiled all the time. he was helpful- he recommend us things to visit in Crete , he speaks fluently English , but he know also another languages - he suprised me when he talked to me in my own language - polish. We can recommend you hotel because of price and awsome stuff and barman

It's not good hotel. No air conditioning at the reception and also at the restaurant even in july when is 40 Celsius degree outside. That's ridiculous! Air conditioning in rooms is extra charge 7€ per day! In good hotels is included to the price. No safe box, because od also extra charge 14€ per week. It's very weak for me. Check in was very long. Older woman at the reception is slow and unfriendly. The rest of the employees at reception was very nice. Hotel has two buildings. First one with reception and restuaurant is after renovation. Second building is old and rooms are teribble. Worse than room is bathroom. Awful. I don't know, maybe it's about covid situation maybe, but during all my stay in the hotel my room was dirty. What pissed me off in the hotel so much?! I ordered early breakfast for 6 person (3 seniors), because at 6 AM we have a trip to Balos. We went to reception around 5.30 AM and there was only cake and coffee. Really? Maybe the owner should eat only cake before trip which starts around 6am and ends around 22pm, so that he will know how it is. This is unacceptable!!! Second thing that pissed me off - the hotel doesn't have any iron. Okay I wrote what was bad, but what was good. From the pluses of the hotel: - it's very close to the beach, 10 minutes walk, - surroundings is very nice, its picturesque and there is a lot of taverns and shops, - food in the hotel od very very good, - Staff at the restaurant was very nice and friendly, older waiter Stavros was very helpful and care about us always, - Guy from the bar - Tassos was very nice and always made good drinks. Staff of the hotel and very good food were the reasons I gave 3* instead of 1*. The hotel should employ more Staff, because its ridiculous that guy from the bar helps with serving food in the restaurant and also two waiters for all restaurant is not much.
