The lodge is completely integrated into the hills surrounding the Rainforest. The set-up is eco friendly and relatively simple. The rooms are functional, clean and have a view on the hills. As ours was very hot and creating a draught was not possible, we were transferred to a different site of the hotel. Those rooms were less hot and a...

This was an unexpected stay as the hotel we had booked had double booked rooms ( Rainforest Eco Lodge) The road to the property is a bit narrow - we did arrive at dusk after a rain storm, so not a great first impression. However the staff worked hard to clear surface water / puddles. The rooms were comfortable -...

At the end of a narrow steep uphill road this distinctive hotel emage. A regular car can drive up, no need for a TucTuc. Entering the hotel you feel placed in Bedrock (The Flintstones) but it's a great place and really true to the ECO thinking. The rooms are simple with an open bath with directly view to the mountains....

This was quite different from any where else that we stayed in Sri Lanka. It is quite difficult to get up the road in places if you are in an ordinary car as it is so rough. Hopefully this will be remedied soon as it is in such a beautiful place. The food and restaurant could not be faulted and...

Hotel in the middle of nowhere was more than a pleasant surprise. From the welcome to the farewell, we felt to be warmly received guests. Rooms are modestly furnished with taste. Food fantastic, fresh curry and rice, wonderful fruit and perfectly chilled beer. We also appreciated the pool with natural and still clean water, surrounded by a charming flower garden.

If you are a nature lover this is the place. Surrounded by tea plantations with lots of birds. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Food was plentiful and delicious. Pity we only stayed one day..

I will start this off on a positive note by saying that the food here was absolutely delicious, and ranked favorably with the best I experienced in Sri Lanka. Really, really good! And the staff was very nice and helpful. But... my room was dark and dungeon-like, the lodge is a goodly distance from Sinharaja with far less quality rainforest...

Arrived during a thunderstorm and spent the first evening watching the storm and enjoying a delicious local meal. Awoke the next morning to a beautiful sunrise and the sounds of the rainforest. The location is fantastic, the food is delicious and the staff superb. It is the perfect place to relax and be immersed in nature. I understand the reason...

My wife and I stayed here as part of a bird watching trip to Sri Lanka and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge has a lot of 'rustic charm. Our room was large with great views over a tea plantation to the hills beyond. We could sit on comfotable cushions on our 'balcony' and relax. We saw several interesting...
