The La Riviera & Aqua Park is the ultimate elegant spa resort, inspired by the famed thermal springs of Kyllini. Its aristocratic architecture and classic decor in elegant cream and white tones reflect the images of nearby Ancient Olympia. The main pool cascades to the beach, creating a waterfall as a backdrop to the taverna level. There are two beach pools with exotic landscape & an imaginative paddling pool. The Thalassotherapy centre, visible from the hotel, is lit up in the evening to create a unique Ancient atmosphere. Family activities including the amazing Olympia Aqua Park, a frenzy of 20.000 m2 of excitement, à la carte dining and a host of sports and entertainment facilities are found in the Grecotel Riviera Olympia & Aqua Park.

We stayed at the hotel for 11 nights and it was just perfect. Even though the current circumstances are unusual to say the least as we are in the middle of a pandemic the hotel ensured that this did not affect the quality of the service and the food. Whilst there were certain limitations such as buffet restaurants as opposed to more a la carte restaurants and the closure of the spa it did not affect the overall experience. The hotel ensured that there were sufficient activities available most of which were complimentary. We were astounded by the measures in place to ensure that the hotel’s cleanliness remained at an optimal level so that we felt safe and comfortable. The main restaurant offered a buffet service for breakfast, lunch and dinner but the variety and quality was really quite outstanding. I must say that ordinarily I am not a fan of buffet food as it tends to be below par and so was impressed by the hotels ability to cater for all tastes. The staff were friendly and efficient ensuring quick service and the ability to sanitise the dining area and all communal areas whilst wearing gloves and masks in the middle of summer without complaint and without delay. We also dined at Cap Voyage and Sea Dunes restaurants which are a la carte and a must as the food was excellent. The hotel operates staggered times for the buffet restaurant and the aqua park and did so to optimal effect. We were able to enjoy our holiday without stress or concern about the fact that we are living in unusual times and so could just relax. A big thank you to all the staff, particularly the head chef at la riviera- sunset and the food and beverage manager who was constantly present to ensure the smooth running of the restaurants. In addition the sea, beach, sweeping views of the Ionian and the sunsets really made this a holiday to remember.

The staff of the hotel really make a difference here! The service is impeccable and fully aligned to the COVID-19 hygiene protocols. From the moment we checked in until check out, we felt absolutely safe and pampered at the same time! The place is ideal for families with small children, the beach is wonderful, the aqua park is really nice for both children and adults, and the food is really tasty. I'ts the one of the best choices for the whole family and that's the reason we will definetly be back next year!!! A special thank you to all the staff for making our vacation unforgetable!

The first thing to say is that the staff are a credit to Grecotel and Greece. They were genuinely friendly, helpful and professional. I guess it is always easy to overlay your own home country expectations around service but the bottom line is the staff were brilliant (except for one miserable guy at the aqua park serving coffees/ice creams etc). The food was pretty good, especially the salads and fresh fruits at breakfast. The hot choices were ok but a little bit samey, although this maybe due to Covid 19 perhaps. Breakfast could do with baked beans more than once a week! Definitely worth booking the asian restaurant and Cap Voyage as the kids ate free and the food was excellent. Wine is good and very reasonably priced which was a very refreshing change. The only slight negatives were the hoarding of sun beds which went unmonitored and a jerk who thought he was entitled to fly his drone Regularly over the “quiet pool” area perving over wives/girlfriends/children etc - weird and selfish.

I want to be fair in my review so please kindly read to the end. First of al this is not a 5 star hotel! Having traveled around the world it is very unfair to be advertised like so. When we arrived the room looked nothing like that of the ad! It was in a dingy corridor with paint and rust issues! Entering the room I nearly packed and left but could not ruin my six year olds fun! There was no bed for my child, there was a broken glass side table and sand on the floor a smell of mould emanated! The safe was beeping and the balcony lock broken! I sat on the bed to call reception and fell through hurting my back as the mattress support beams were not distributed evenly! I met the manager at reception who was very polite but more of would you like free drinks! I declined of course it wasn’t about the money! Though Katerina was very polite on arrival when told of the broken glass she immediately turned attitude saying they would replace the glass so my child wouldn’t get cut ironically! No Katerina you replace the glass because Grecotel advertises this place as five star! If my child had gotten cut it would be a whole different ball game! Now breakfast and dinner were 80% airport quality the salads were great and some meat platters! The staff were friendly enough! If you can fight off the hornets to leave enough time to eat and waiters hovering to grab your plate before your done. The greek coffee the lit one morning also blew on a chair and caught on fire scary moment as my child was seated next to the chair! Everyone immediately took care of it but not a single apology! I had to find something to save this vacation as we were looking forward to some joy booking 5 star. I found it in the aqua park , the beach the pools if the 5 Star refers to that then yes it was lovely!!!Possibly saved the holiday and we came away with much joy spending as little time as possible in the room. I would go again for my little but I would go knowing the rooms are 2 to 3 stars at most! Please be aware there is no luxury in the rooms they are not 5 star nor the lifts rusted nor the corridors or fixing!!!! The surroundings are lovely It is fun booking a five star and arriving to a two star room with no bed for your child that you paid a small fortune for !!! I ruins the mood!!! The surrounding facilities saved the day! I have taken many photos of the broken item and ware but I think I have made it clear it is NOT 5 star !

Ended up booking here last minute after a logistical nightmare on my part. What a relief. One of the best resort hotels I have stayed at. The hospitality of the Greek people was beyond anything I could have imagined. Professional, smart, elegant knowledgable, engaging, enthused, energetic, warm....just some of the adjectives that come to mind. The resort is first class with magical facilities and attention to detail. I had a very relaxing time here. The food was excellent although we did not have an evening meal, choosing instead to embrace the local town which was also superb. I do have to make reference to the a la carte restaurant which served very well done dishes but in particular the best chicken caesar salad I have ever had. We had, another, logistical challenge with ferry times and needed to check out a day earlier than we booked. The management team were very understanding and worked a very creative solution such that. we we reimbursed for the night we didn't need. All the hallmarks of a very well run resort. The view from the infinity pool across the Ionaian islands still lingers in my memories. Well done to all at the resort and their Covid-19 protocols were exemplary. Many thanks
