We stayed at Alykanas Village Hotel in June with 2 children aged 4 & 7. Initially I was somewhat disappointed with the room we were allocated, there wasn’t much of a view and the room/ beds were open plan which made it difficult for the children to settle at night if we were still pottering around. However since we don’t... More

This was my 3rd visit to a Greek island and a surprisingly short flight from Manchester, about 3 hrs 20 mins, most Greek islands have been longer albeit from Glasgow. Arrivals in zankythos airport was the quickest ever, security could be a bit tighter as it was 1 uninformed guy letting you through and that was you on the island!... More

Went there last year as self catering and loved it, this year even better!! Ignore all the negatives about the food it was lovely!! A real good variation and nothing I ate was horrible If you want a traditional Greek dish go to a local restaurant and they are all priced fairly You can get a bit of a wait... More

Went to this hotel with my sister for a weeks break. The hotel is a lovely hotel, the rooms could do with a bit of work doing on them, especially the bathrooms !! Very tired ! New restaurant , food very good, but be prepared for children throwing food to the floor. I wouldn't go again because it is purely... More

My husband and I travelled with our 14 year old daughter with Thomsom holidays. Apart from the hour delay (due to French airtraffic contol striking) leaving and returning, the flights and were excellent. Be prepared for long queues at the airport leaving as very few check in desks but done very efficiently given the small size of the airport. The... More

Flight with Norwegian from LGW (part of the package) was very poor. They failed to get a crew to the plane on time so it took off an hour late and at one stage we were advised it could be a 3h delay (with 2h sitting on the plane on a remote stand). Less legroom than Ryanair! No in flight... More

We stayed at Alykanas Village hotel in June for a week with family & friends. We read reviews prior to our holiday & became concerned at some of the comments so didnt know what to expect. We arrived in Alykanas in beautiful 35+ deg sunshine always a good start. We were on the 2nd floor of a small block which... More

Just got back from 1 week stay and pleased I got a cheap late deal as wouldn't have paid anymore for 2 weeks! Our room had a great sea view ( 157 ) other than that room dirty, towels only changed once even though I asked for clean towels after 2 days, bedding only changed once. Bathroom tiny and cleaner... Spent two weeks here with our 4 year old daughter and seriously could not fault it. The rooms are nice, bathroom a little bit dated but perfectly adequate and to be honest we didn't go on holiday for a bathroom! Room cleaned every day and very clean. All the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool areas are... More
