It's a beautiful place, the nature with it's mountains around is magic. We've never eaten better greek food than in enagron. The people were friendly and helpful. The only thing we would change is the furniture in the Studios.

Beautiful hotel in a lovely setting in the Cretan mountains; lovely, spacious and clean 2-bedroom apartment with a great terrace and spectacular view; excellent home-made food (e.g. Feta cheese, bread, vegetables, olive oil, BBQ, ...); the caring team (specifically Aphrodite, Mary and Adonis - thanks for the great hikes) made us feel like home - thanks a lot to everyone at Enagron!

My partner and I stayed at Enagron for 3 days after 3 days in Chania. It was the perfect place to end our holiday and have some down time. It feels like a village and the whole ethos, food and people make it an unforgettable experience. We only did the Bucolic trip, which I can not recommend enough. Enagron is near Axos a small village so if you are looking for the hustle and bustle this is not for you. However, if you enjoy finding out more about local culture, want great food and an amazing pool and space to chill this is for you.

Such a wonderful place to spend a peaceful holiday. Perched on the hillside just below Axos, the views across the valley and surrounding mountains are stunning. The whole "complex" of buildings and facilities are beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Our room was only a "standard" room but was very spacious and had a lovely large veranda overlooking the valley. The room had some basic cooking equipment (fridge, hob, pan, plates, cutlery etc) which we didn't use but if you did plan on self catering it would be wise to bring things like washing up liquid, sponge, tea towel. The infinity pool is situated opposite a cliff where vultures nest so you can watch them circling overhead and swooping into their nests which is quite incredible. The pool area is again kept very clean and they attach paper strips to the loungers to let you know which ones have been disinfected. We did some of the activities they offered: Bread making, guided walk to Axos and the Bucolic walk. They were all really enjoyable and really good value. The Bucolic walk in particular is a must do - it is hard work in the hot weather but worth it for the views and the fantastic lunch when you reach the shepherds hut for lunch. Food at Enagron is delicious and excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet trays offer an array of breads, omelettes, eggs, pastries, yoghurt, jams, fresh fruits etc - all delicious and in plentiful supply. All of the meals we had at the restaurant were delicious - particular mention has to be the roasted lamb special which is roasted on an open fire in the middle of the restaurant patio and the homemade lemon and thyme lemonade which is sensational. A major part of what made this place so wonderful was how incredibly hard working, accommodating and helpful all the staff are. They have clearly had to adapt how they work due to COVID-19 but still offer an incredible level of service. If I had to put negatives (i consider these pretty minor): it sometimes took a while to get hot water in the shower and getting there does require a car.
