We just came back from our 2 week vacation at the gorgeous Enagron Eco Village, and I already miss it! The location is stunning! Our 3 bedroom apartment was amazing with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the phenomenal infinity pool. It’s utterly charming and peaceful….. The food is unbelievable!! We left a few times to dine elsewhere, but nothing could beat the cuisine at Enagron! Everything is so fresh and delicious. It’s obvious they only use their own or local produce. You can actually taste various flowers in the honey they serve…..never tasted anything like it in my life. Very impressed!!! The Enagron team, from the receptionists to the waiters at the restaurant are all equally kind, warm and helpful, which makes a stay there even more enjoyable. The day before we left I booked an appointment at the Spa for a full body and face treatment. Mairie/Mary did a excellent job. My skin hadn’t felt so soft in a long, long time and my face looked radiant again after 2 weeks of sunbathing. All in all, this is a hidden gem in the middle of the most beautiful surroundings where you can relax and enjoy the best things in life…..away from everything! Highly recommend this gorgeous village!

"En Agron", meaning "in the countryside" is an amazing place to stay in Crete. It's a family-owned and operated enterprise; you can really see the love and passion that they have for the land. Make sure to have some raki! P.S. The pool view is truly spectacular

M wife and I really enjoyed our four days at Enagron. It's about half an hours pleasant drive from the north coast (although the last 500 meters is basically a dirt track) close to the small village of Axos and surrounded by mountains and olive groves. Our accomodation was a beautiful 2 roomed apartment with a large bedroom and even larger living room with a kitchen and two extra beds. Huge balcony with a beautiful view over the mountains, nice bathroom and plenty of cupboard space. There is a stunning pool area with plenty of sunloungers, and most people tend to go out and explore the surrounding area during the day, so it's very quiet and peaceful until mid afternoon. There are also some very interesting activities (cooking classes, hiking tours etc) organised for the guests, so there is plenety to do during the day. Breakfast was great and the restaurant has a good selection of locally produced organic food at very reasonable prices. Which is good because we did not particularly want to drive to and from the village to another taverna after dark!. Surprisingly to us, there were a lot of families with young children there which, apparently, is normal for July and August. Not an issue, of course, but be aware that the pool area gets crowded and noisy after about 4pm and, of course, children will be participating in the various daytime activities. Just be aware in case you are assuming it's some kind of adults only retreat. Great value for money as well. Definitely worth a visit!

We had an incredibly lovely stay. The food is very nice. All cooked freshly with mostly ingredients from the garden. The breakfast was amazing. The dinner different every day. The pool area is wonderful and they are currently expanding the spa area with jacuzzis. The room was traditionally- furnished, simple and clean with a well working airconditioning unit and a kitchenette. The bed was too hard for us - but some pople do appreciate just this. There was a variety of pillows - soft and thicker. We did a cooking class which was delightful. We learned a lot and had so much fun. It would have been nice to get the recipes to repeat them at home (nothing printed but maybe as a pdf via email or something to photograph during the session). There is a nice playground for kids and the village is generally very kid friendly. We decided to not take any spa treatments as they were very expensive even for Northern European standards (85 Euro for a 50 min massage). The road to get there is a steep dirt road and for inexperienced drivers it might be a challenge. They have been building it but there are delays. Careful to specify when you are traveling with three. I had booked the room for 2-3 people and during preparation we talked about a third party joining, which ended up not being the case. This was good as there was no sleeper sofa in our room as described on booking and a third person would not have fit. One tip for the village: it would be nice if the rooms and bathrooms were vacuumed every couple days as it gets dusty even if you leave the shoes at the entry. There is service every day but they only make the bed and empty garbage bins.

Good morning gator2003 and thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and leave us so kind words! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your recent stay in our village, cretan traditional cuisine, swimming pool and activities! Regarding the road construction, although, since last year, we have given public authorities an official written notification about our opening on the 1st of April unfortunately the construction work went out of schedule. Also, there had never been problems with the cleaning of our rooms but because of the fact that it remains a dirt road, there is more dust in our village which will be solved as soon as there will be an asphalt road again. We are now expecting it to happen soon! Last but not least, we have appartments for either 2 or 3 persons and our receptionists use each type according to the needs. That means that in case you had been 3 persons, you would move to an appartment with three beds. Thank you for choosing us for your holidays and we hope we see you again in the future! Best regards from people of Enagron

A perfect, relaxing experience. Beautiful place with remarkable views. Lovely food and such a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Nice and clean rooms with great service. Friendly, helpful staff. We loved the swimming pool and the fact that you were not allowed to 'reserve' sun loungers. There was always enough space even during busy times. Really enjoyed the local cooking experience and the walk to next village as well.

Found Enagron after watching a random YouTube video and am so glad I did. It was everything we had hoped for and did not disappoint. We were so sad to have to leave after four nights! We were a couple travelling with family (sister, brother-in-law, and niece who is a toddler). Enagron was a perfect home base for us for 4 nights in the middle of our two-week trip to Crete. My partner and I found it incredibly relaxing and peaceful: the property itself and the surroundings are unbelievably picturesque, every room has an amazing view, and even the pool area was super chill. You can tell the other guests are also here to relax in peace. It’s also a very family friendly place — the little one in our group absolutely loved seeing the donkeys, playing by the pool, and using the colouring books at mealtimes. There were lots of other young families who seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. The on-site restaurant is delicious — we ate there every night and found new things to order every time. The highlight of the menu was the antikristo lamb which they do twice a week. Breakfast was also great and included a wide variety of foods to choose from including the freshest and most flavourful strawberries. The rooms themselves are spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Rustic and charming. The kitchenette (fridge and stove top) was a nice bonus if you want to prepare some meals in the room or keep things cold. The bed was comfortable and the balcony was the perfect place to have a morning coffee or early evening drink before dinner. Finally, one of the best things about Enagron — and one of the main reasons I was attracted to it in the first place — is the daily activities they offer (many of which are free). The farm to table meze cooking class was absolutely amazing and a definite highlight of the stay. All the staff were super friendly, helpful and hospitable, especially the servers in the restaurant who were very accommodating to the toddler in our group! If you’re looking for an incredibly relaxing stay in the most beautiful and serene Cretan mountain surroundings, somewhere with a refreshing pool and an excellent restaurant, definitely book a room at Enagron. The value can’t be beat. If we ever return to Crete I will definitely look to stay here again.

This is a great spot, a new hotel designed like an old village, all the accommodation is very comfortable. Great food and lots of activities. Highlights for us were walks led by Adonis., a local guide, who had a huge amount of information presented in a very entertaining and approachable manner. The lovely infinity pool on the side of the gorge with wonderful views. The wonderful staff, all unfailingly welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and I’m sure we will be back

Enagron Eco Village is in a beautiful setting surrounded by mountains and gorges. They try to stick to the traditional Cretan diet, offering lamb cooked on an open fire, for example. The rooms are clean and comfortable but do need updating. Common rooms have many Cretan decorations and artwork. The Olive Press area is very interesting. Absolutely fantastic swimming pool. Traditional?

I went to Enagron in Crete for 5 days and my experience was absolutely fantastic!!! The food was simply amazing, felt like moms gathered in the kitchen to prepare food for the family with rich organic flavours!! Breakfast was like a dream, a lot of options to try with products made from them!! Some nights we had Greek live music from 2 brilliant lads that I fully enjoyed!! I found myself spending a lot of hours in the farm that has a lot of different animals like donkeys (they love cuddles), ponies, deers, chickens and more along with a crazy gammon that likes to chat a lot, but very friendly little guy!!! It was the most sweet spot to go chill and connect with animals, a place that only love and cuddles matter, that was simply amazing!!!! The outdoor swimming pool was very nice, with a view of the mountains along the sounds of nature that calmed me for hours!! The staff was very friendly, my gratitude to the reception as I got all sorts of information that made my journey a lot easier, faster in result to enjoy more than trying to figure things out. My sincere gratitude for your hospitality and the experience that you have given, hope to see you all again next year!!
