The best choise in Mythimna The only with real beach, the best in the area of Mythimna Family management very efficient Great staff Great breakfast Great tavern Is true that rooms seams old but everything works in perfection , and they are very very very clean What to ask more Thank you for that beautiful stay
Nice location (need car for everything) to be away from the touristic crowds of Molyvos BUT very old and tired hotel. Room smells and mattresses had bugs. Polite personnel but unfortunately not enough for a decent stay. Very expensive for what it provides.
Yes, the hotel is not trendy and rooms are a bit old fashioned and bathrooms can use an upgrade, but there end the negative points. The hotel has the best location in Molyvos. It is just out of the village, in a big, green and quiet park near the sea. You can easy walk to the village, it is about 1 km. To the harbour of Molyvos, it is about 2 km. The nearest supermarket is at 500 meter. The public bus to Kalloni, to the saltpans and to Petra and Mytilene stops in front of the hotel. Very practical. If you like walking, it is a nice walk along the coast to Petra, about 5 km. You can walk to Eftalou too, about the same distance. The hotel is very clean and has a recent layer of painting. Buffet breakfast has a lot of choices and is very tasty. It is so lovely to take breakfast on the big terrace with a lovely view at the sea and at the village. Swallows and squirrels are around you and a friendly cat comes to great you. Swimmingpool and sun terrace are beautiful and offer a nice view at Molyvos and the sea. There is a bar at the swimmingpool. If you like a cool breeze, you can take a lounger at the private beach, under the trees or under an umbrella. It is lovely there. Just be carefull, near the beach, in the grass, we saw 2 very big snakes. But we were lucky that we saw them. We had a room in the building. There are bungalows too, but then you are a bit further away from everything. We had a room with a terrace with garden view, and were lucky because most of the day, we had shadow. People at the hotel are so friendly and helpful. Thank you Theodora and your colleague, for the good service at breakfasttime! Thank you Mrs. Lada, for your big smile and helpful advice at the reception desk!We can just recommend the hotel. For the price you pay, you get a lot.…
I was a little put off by some of the negativity on the reviews here. Having just stayed four days I need not have worried. This is not a hotel that goes out of its way to impress. It offers simple, clean accommodation next to a very good sand/pebble beach and crystal clear sea. The wifi was excellent. Sure, the beds could do with replacement, the bathrooms a makeover and the coffee, juice and processed meat/cheese at breakfast upgraded. It would then be a hotel worth 100 -150 euros plus a night rather than the paltry off-season rate that I paid. The beach along from the hotel is very relaxed towards naturists and was ideal for swimming and snorkeling off the rocks. I would certainly recommend to friends looking for a simple, super relaxed getaway.
Very nice hotel. Great sea view. Very good breakfast and very friendly staff. You can't get better. Nice walk to the center of Molyvos but only in the evening it is a bit difficult because there are no street lights. You can take a taxi as it is cheap.
Delfinia’s splendor days must have been in the 90’s but those were the days, my friend! it’s not a catastrophe but the furniture is a bit run-down and the decoration style outdated – no vintage charm though. If it wasn’t for the friendly staff in the restaurant and the cleaning staff, it would be awful. THE WORST IS THE INTERNET CONNECTION THOUGH. If WiFi is important to you or your kids, you’d better to choose another hotel because there are big areas in the hotel, especially the bungalow area, where the wireless network is seriously under-dimensioned. The network could not be seen in my mobile or in my lap top, or it could be seen but only with one bar. During my 14 days, I never could connect to the Internet in order to run basic errands like checking out e-mail or using Whatsapp When I after a week said to the manager that the solution was not “to call the Internet provider” as he said they did but install some routers in the one-hectare bungalow area, he almost got offended, said that I was putting him under press, that I was being mean.…
We have spent a wonderful week of holiday in Aug 2019. My memories: a fabulous location, offering a great view to the town of Molyvos and its castle, the beautiful garden that surrounds the bungalows, the excellent staff service (Dora is the best!) and the beach – always clean, with free sunbeds under the trees. The food at hotel’s restaurant (pool restaurant) was very good with reasonable prices, we always had our lunch there. The room was clean & quite spacious, the cleaning staff was friendly and helpful, the bathroom was not fancy but functional. The breakfast offers a good selection of food and is coupled with a fabulous view on the beach from the restaurant’s terrace. Tips: 1. select bungalows instead of a room in the main hotel building. Staying on the room’s terrace in their garden is great, listening to the cicadas’s song. We stayed at ground floor instead of 1st floor, and I believe was a good idea – it was less hot. 2. use insect repellent against mosquitoes. I had bought one (Korres) from a local Pharmacy and was very useful. 3. try the local honey (at breakfast or buy from local shops). it has a dark color, with thyme and pines flavor. it has excellent taste and aroma!…
The hotel was really great even though it was a bit old. The hotel beach chairs were a bit worn and broken, but the pool chairs were quite new and comfortable. Breakfast could have been a bit more varied. Friendly staff and beautiful view from the room's balcony.
Great hotel build in 1960. Beautiful garden, great breakfast, clean rooms. One feels himself like Sean Connery in Doktor No, when entering the lobby. Very near to Molyvos (although we liked the southern part of the island more)
We spent 9 days in Molyvos. We stayed at Delfinia. All but all the staff was very helpful and nice to us. Yes, the hotel is a bit old but I still prefer its wonderful landscape instead of a luxury interior. Bungalows are separated from the main building. It has advantages and disadvantages. If you're with kids it's a great option to hire a bungalow. Their breakfast is so amazing. It's full of local products, fruits, jams, and excellent croissant, pita, and different types of bread. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but lunches are excellent, too. Dora is the best staff at the Delfinia. She is so hardworking and nice. I really enjoyed my vacation. ευχαριστώ για όλα & τα λέμε το επόμενο καλοκαίρι :)
