#1 of 18 B&Bs / Inns in Lesbos
Boutique hotel, located on an idyllic, pebble beach in Molyvos, Lesvos island. A former oil press factory has been converted to a hotel with an impresive thirty meters high chimney as a trademark. The cosy guest rooms are arranged around an inner stone-paved courtyard, while others offer balconies with direct sea view where our privileged guests can enjoy the memorable, romantic Molyvos sunsets. The hotel features guest rooms with air conditioning and mini bar. In addition, the independent studios are equipped with a kitchenette area. Internet corner with free Wi Fi is also available. The hotel offers the possibility to dine at its "elia restaurant" by tasting traditional greek cuisine or at its beach bar which is located near the swimming pool and the water sports.

Loved the place, hotel setup, beach area including swimming pool. Staff was lovely and super supportive. They offered welcome drinks while our rooms get ready. They have a restaurant called Elia, very tasty goods they serve, great sun-set view. Definitely suggest this hotel to stay.

From the moment we arrived at the Olive Press Hotel, the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. The reception is elegantly decorated in muted colours and leads onto a sunny courtyard with seating area. The hotel is thoughtfully restored keeping the olive press chimney which is attractive. The whole hotel has an impressive water front from the 100 metre garden with a tranquil swimming pool at the far end, to the sea views from the balcony, to the lovely dining room at the other end next to a small beach. I spent part of both days in the lovely gardens with views over the port to the front and a backdrop of the castle and historic village of Molyvos. The garden looks over clear waters with a narrow pebble beach below for sea bathing. There are trees lining the front with a mix of shade and sunshine with a beautiful old wooden boat turned into a lovely bar at the hotel end serving food and drinks all day. The hotel is walking distance from the port with its array of shops, bars and restaurants. It is also a short but steep stroll away from the village and castle. We walked into the village in early evening. Not to be missed is the unique wall hanging boats made by Georgios Fragoilis – there is a particularly beautiful example in the hotel’s reception – made from drift wood and an assortment of bots, old lighters, screws, hooks, old fishing nets in fact anything you can find washed up on the beach. The result is astonishing. We ate in a shady square at the Tropicano. The food in Lesbos is always fresh and locally sourced fish and vegetables in season made into an array of traditional dishes. What struck me in Lesbos is the kindness of the people. This restaurant seemed to be a meeting point for people of all nationalities and I observed how an elderly foreign lady was cared for with such affection and care. After our meal we strolled back via the lovely port to the hotel terrace with its lovely views of sunset with a lovely glass of wine. Most of the guests at the hotel were Dutch but I could highly recommend this hotel to English tourists looking for a quiet stylish but simple hotel in a beautiful location. Although the rooms are small as metioned by other travelers .This didnt spoil our holiday. .The hotel is well located with plenty of shops ,bars and traverners near by.It about a 10 min -15 min walk to the harbour some of it uphill. The streats are cobbly suitable footwear is needed ie pumps or trainers. The breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice and good coffee,The waiter who is on breakfast duty is very good always filling up the food and keeping the place clean and tidy.I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast watching the waves while eating my breakfast. The swiming pool is big ,but the salt water takes a bit of getting used to. The beach nearby is pebbly and a hard to get into , but your in its fine.Beach shoes are recemended.
