Welcome gifts! We are a couple who stayed at Melina's hotel for 2 weeks. Our welcome to the property was very friendly, the owner waited for us as we arrived quite late (11pm). We were very surprised by the welcome gifts in the room including raisins, olive oil, delicious orange jam, and a bit of Greek Liqueur. Excellent location The hotel is 5 min walking distance from the beach. We enjoyed the sea view from the balony while chilling and enjoying a meal. The balcony had a table and chairs and was very spacious. A marvelous view from there. We could even hear the waves from the apartment!!! The hotel is very close (5 min walking) to supermarkets, restaurants, bus stops, ATMs (by the way, do not use EuroNet ATMs, they charge 3.95 euro per transaction, I recommend you to use the local bank ATM, for instanc Alpha bank as it is cheaper to withdraw money there, only 2.50euro per transaction). Transportation to Chania is very accesible from the Hotel and it only takes 12 min from Stalos to Chania. Chania is quite busy and noisy city. Staying in Stalos is a more quiet and comfortable option if you want to enjoy marvelous beaches and a relaxing atmosphere. Spaciousness, comfort, quietness, cleanness, safety We stayed in a 2 room appartment. The appartment was very spacious including 4 beds, a couch, 2 tables with a set of chairs (one in one room and the other in the balcony), a private bathroom, a very well equipped kitchen (we mainly cooked at the apartment rather than eat outside, so the kitchen was very convenient), The beds were extremely comfortable !!! The cleaning lady came every other day to do the cleaning. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and the neighborhood was very quiet. In terms of safety, the property is very safe. We were on a remote work holiday and had our laptops, cameras, and other valuables in the room without any problem. There is even a small safe available in the room., but we didn't feel there was need to use it. The environment is very family-friendly. Staying at this property felt like being at home. A very homey atmosphere, family-friendly, super comfortable, and relaxing experience. Mr. Antonis, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. He made sure our stay was comfortable. This property is highly recommended for solo trips, for couples or families. Excellent quality for an affordable price! We highly recommend this property and we will definitely go back to stay at Melina's hotel whenever we go back to Crete.

We decided to spend a few weeks at this cozy property that impressed us for the photos and reviews written by other tourists. Once we arrived in the apartment we were amazed by the cleanliness, comfort and location. Not to mention the "hosts" and the rest of the family, all delicious so that we did not hear the difference between our house and their!!!!!! If in the future we will return to Crete we will try and do everything to stay at the house of Melina and family. A special thanks to Antonio and Melina who were wonderful and at our disposal for any need that we did not have.If in the future we will return to Crete we will try and do everything to stay at the house of Melina and family. A special thanks to Antonio and Melina who were wonderful and at our disposal for any need that we did not have. Thanks again and a goodbye. A heartfelt wish that everything goes for the best in the years to come to all of you

Scrupulously clean rooms in a quiet area of Kato Stalos in Crete but close enough to the beach and Tavernas and only 30 minutes from Chania Airport. The owners Antonis and Melina are lovely welcoming people.

We had spacious two bedroom apartment, with 10m long terrace around it. Reach Mediterranean greens up to or over the balcony level. It was sparkling clean, great scalable illumination, very quiet neighborhood. The best of all was the interaction with the host and his family who live at the premises. They offered help and advice each time we had met, treated us with their own (organic) fruits and vegetables, and were interesting counterpart in talking on very different subjects. We felt as we had vacation at close friend's/relative's house. At the check-out we got gifts (home-grown, home-made stuff). We have also noticed that some other visitors were there repeatedly. Wholeheartedly recommended!

This was a very moderately sized apartment home. The price was unbeatable, by far the biggest room we have had and also at half the price of some of the other hotels. Welcome drinks were ready for us in our room, we could cook and get around freely. There were several super.arkets that were open 7 days a week withing one or two hundred meters. The beach was within 300 meters. Great place! They even held our luggage for us after we checked out so we could spend some more time on the beach. One thing is you may need to rent a car if you are planning to stay here. It is about a fifteen minute drive from Chania city center so taking taxi back and forth may be expensive. There may be public bus. Otherwise just a few days outside the city near the beach may be nice.
