Adapting a Victorian farmhouse to modern living without sacrificing it's character is not an easy task but Blair and Jill have done exactly that and some. Previous postings list the excellent facilities plus all of the additional extra touches that set it apart from many other offerings. But it is your hosts who make your stay that extra bit special.... More

Sunday 12 June 16, My husband and I arrived in Tregony about six thirty in the early evening. Hay Barton Farm is situated on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. Surrounded by its own land. This Georgian Farmhouse is quite and tranquil and was the perfect place to unwind. Sarah, Jill’s friend gave us a big warm welcome and offered us refreshments... More

What a gem this place is..... Beautiful location surrounded by caramac cows and jet black hens who provide the fabulous eggs for breakfast. Oh so comfy rooms and guest lounge stuffed full with lovely touches and all manner of edibles. The cakes were superb. Jill's homemade jams and marmalades, rich yogurt, a cooked breakfast worth getting fat for, we lacked... More

Hay Barton is a fantastic farmhouse B&B in Tregony, less than half an hour from St. Mawes. Jill & Blair were delightful hosts who made our long weekend family celebration in Cornwall that extra bit special. From the wonderful views of the cattle grazing in the fields, to the very comfortable clean bedrooms with large ensuite bathrooms, delicious breakfasts (especially... More

Hay Barton farm B&B was not difficult to locate. Jill had sent clear directions and the SatNav was accurate too. Just a short drive from Tregony village - where we ate well in the local pub, The King's Head. Jill's breakfasts, eaten at the big table in the farm's original kitchen, but cooked from fresh local ingredients in the kitchen... More

Jill and Blair, who also farm, are the most welcoming of hosts. Hay Barton is a delight to stay at,relaxed and very comfortable. Close to lots of local beaches, pubs, restaurants and holiday activities. The breakfasts, which are amazing, set one up for the day. Afternoon fresh home baked cake and tea are also a great treat.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay with Jill and Blair having found their B&B on the Alastair Sawday website. We were greeted by Blair on arrival and shown where breakfast would be taken, the guest lounge, (set up with a huge range of teas and a homemade chocolate cake), and our room. We had requested the room... More

We had been looking online for a B and B nearer the Lizard, but having stumbled across the Hay Barton website, we couldn't resist booking, not least because of the exceptional reviews! Well, here is another! We had three glorious nights and will most certainly return! Jill and Blair were wonderful hosts, Jill's breakfasts (and cakes and shortbread) were outstanding,... More
