Very good experience. A hotel with a very unique architecture, which takes guests back to colonial times. Excellent rooms with all amenities. It offers several activities, including tennis, cycling along the trails that pass by the hotel and pedal boating in the hotel's lagoon. Two swimming pools and a river beach. Friendly and always helpful staff. Umbrellas and better cleaning in the area surrounding the pools are suggested. A lifeguard must be mandatory in these types of complexes.

I've been to this hotel several times, but this time I was a little discouraged, I thought there would be nightlife in the middle of August, but there was only a dinner dance on a Saturday and the entertainer's repertoire was very calm and old music and you could see that people they wanted to have fun.
The mattresses are great but the cover makes a lot of noise. The rooms are spacious. Despite having a gym, not all machines work. Outdoor ashtrays on tables should be cleaned daily. Billiards is an enjoyable pastime. The bartenders are very slow in serving. During these days of stay, people were not careful at all, they made a lot of noise, at 3am shouting at their children, at 7am slamming doors, there is no respect for those who want to rest. In the pool, despite saying that diving was prohibited, people did so, getting those sitting on the chairs wet. But generally speaking, you can count on good and varied food. The Portuguese staff were very helpful. The rooms have a rustic decor but there is nothing missing, there is a minibar with water. There are many beautiful spaces that are not being used well, I believe that more human resources would be needed, but both the tiles and other spaces needed constant maintenance. As I went in May, I loved the nightlife that kept me at the hotel, perhaps because there were a lot of tourists on the bus, but this time it was poor performance and on other nights I had to leave the hotel because inside the rooms you could hear other people's screams. people. I remember in 2004 having my final year party here and there was even a disco.

The hotel has very good conditions and friendly staff.
The pool is very good although there are no chairs and there are many damaged.
Envelop with animals and the pond.
The restaurant is very good both breakfast and dinner.
The rooms could be improved in relation to the noise because you can not rest from so much noise in the main building.

Don't go to this place especially before the 1st June because that's when their season
starts. The place could be lovely needs a lot of love some of the staff not happy with the way the Hotel is run. We arrived the drive and the Tennis Courts looked like they had not been clean at all this year. When the Portuguese arrived for the weekend everything was open Pool cleaner started when we arrived tiles falling off in the pool.
We have been all over the world in some good Hotels that are 2 star this is stated at 3 star I would say try better to get 2 star. If you have been out all day and you expect a meal you won't get one, only after June the 1st.

The most perfect place, so peaceful and private. It has everything you need on site, but also has restaurants, supermarkets and the beach very close by.
The breakfast that was included in the price was really nice and had a lot of options. We tried lunch as well which was a small menu from the bar and the food was delicious.
The pool was nice, a little bit cold but we were there early in the season, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. There are some games including a pool table and table tennis near the pool.
Take the time to walk around the resort as it is a lovely peaceful and picturesque, there is a little sandy beach next to the lagoa.
The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom came well equipped with enough space. We also took advantage of the free parking on site and there was plenty of space.
We were sad to leave and are already thinking about our next visit.

The facilities are incredible, the pools are large and very well maintained, the cleanliness, the surroundings, everything is great.
You need a car to get to the beaches.
breakfast is good
Super friendly staff
The rooms are very large and some have a terrace or access to the garden.
I would renew the bathrooms and duvets a little and the pillows are uncomfortable.

The place is incredible to disconnect and spend a good vacation without worrying about anything. Within the facilities, there is a gym, a private beach, rural walks, etc. And best of all, is the breakfast (very complete and delicious). Thanks to Ana, the head chef who does an incredible job, and gave us spectacular treatment.
We will return without a doubt

We found this hotel to be both a nice surprise and a disappointment.
On the plus side, the rooms and the public areas are huge, there are 2 pools and very nice gardens and the whole thing is built on the shores of a lake. Everything is well designed and very attractive.
Our bedroom, like everything else was huge, with very comfortable beds nice chairs and a decent balcony overlooking one of the pools. The bathroom had 2 marble sinks and everything was well maintained and generally spotless. We were afraid that the vast echoing rooms would be noisy, especially at night but by-and-large, this was not so. Even a crying baby in the middle of the night was not too much of a disturbance.

We enjoyed a very nice lunch from the bar on two days and the service and the food were excellent. What spoilt the whole experience was that nothing like this was available in the evenings; they were only serving a help-yourself, buffet dinner. There was no possibility of anything else at the hotel and there did not seem to be an alternative within comfortable walking distance.
The explanation for this is that the vast majority of the guests staying there were from large groups of tourists on package holidays by coach. The parties all arrived en masse, seemed to eat very quickly and then disappear, leaving the few independent guests to finish our meals alone in the vast cavern of the conference centre. The selection of starters was quite good but the main course and desserts were, for us, not very appealing. The standard of food for such a large gathering can never be of the highest quality although, to be fair, it was not too bad.

Breakfast was similar and also in the conference centre. The big difference was that the coach parties had their breakfasts and left very early to visit attractions across Portugal. This meant that by 9.00 am there were, at the most, 6 or 8 of us eating in a room suitable for hundreds. The quality of the breakfasts was not too bad and there was a reasonable selection. The coffee, which came from an urn was, however, as awful as at night time.
We did enjoy our stay here and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I have to give a special mention to Yuri, the waiter from the bar. We might return if we came back to the area but a better arrangement for dinner and breakfast for guests who don’t want to share a buffet with the hoards would get this hotel a much better rating.

Not sure this merits 3 stars rating but 2 seems a bit harsh also. Ok we went in August so prices are high BUT paying 154€ a night for a family room I was expecting a bit more quality. It was clean and I can’t fault that at all but it’s untouched since the 80’s when it must have been very impressive, it’s “rustic” I guess. There’s 2 pools, one is very cold as it gets more shade than the other but the warmer is much busier and full of kids and stupid adults jumping off the little bridge into the water, accident waiting to happen for some poor bugger underneath. No supervision from hotel staff at all. Breakfast was forgettable and the buffet dinner for 15€ (excluding drinks) was best avoided. I’ve been to their sister hotel in area and it’s far better in terms of food. I left feel like I had been ripped off I’m afraid which leaves a sour taste.
